Great! Jay came over to our house explained what we had and what needed to be done. He also recommended new gutters and downspouts which would be done by a company that he recommends He gave us a quote for the roof and gutters that was very reasonable. The quality of materials used, and the workmanship was top notch. We have a large house so the work went over 2 days, but was not bother for us. Good quality work, at a fair price. We definitely recommend using this company.

This will be kind of a long read but for anyone like myself who is a new homeowner and has not had to fix their roof before, it may be worth your time. Our house was hit by a bad hail storm and the roof sustained a significant amount of damage. Fortunately, we did not have any leaks inside the house so we actually did not know about the damage until a random contractor came by the house and offered to examine the roof for us. He informed us that we had enough damage on the roof that our homeowners insurance would cover a brand new roof for us. He immediately wanted us to sign a contract and wanted our insurance information so that he could contact the insurance company. He seemed quite pushy and we have since learned that these "random" contractors are not random at all - they are called "storm chasers" and target areas that were recently hit by bad storms. They can come from anywhere in the country. They do a shoddy job on your home, collect the insurance money, and they're gone in the wind with no way to find them if/when you have a problem in the future. We commissioned several contractors to come to the house to give us estimates and proposals. Jay Gleason and the Home Wise Pros were the only ones that didn't seem concerned with how big the insurance check was going to be. Everyone else wanted to see how much the insurance company was going to reimburse and interestingly enough, their "estimates" were almost always the same or very close to how much that coverage was going to be. Jay knows he provides a good service with good product and he charges what he knows is a fair price. He seemed more concerned with just presenting what he knew to be a good product and unmatched workmanship. He could even tell that whoever put on our original roof was not a roofer, pointing out several things that were done incorrectly. Overall, the experience with Jay and the Home Wise Pros was excellent. They finished the roof in 1 day and it looks fantastic! I 100% recommend this company!

Home Wise Pros did impeccable work, replacing our roof within the time requested, on budget, and leaving our yard without a single tell-tale sign that we'd just installed a new roof. Owner Jay Gleason met with us beforehand and explained options along with the costs and benefits of each, to the satisfaction of even my engineer of a husband. With Jay's guidance, we chose a darker shade of shingle, which noticeably upgrades the home's appearance. No hard sell here, just desire to do good and thorough work. Highest recommendation.

Let me just say that Jay and his guys are who you want to deal with. Imagine everything exceeded your expectations. That's them. Great attention to detail, work ethic, quality, attention to detail, safety. He worked very hard to isolate a leak before hand. No just "we'll take care of it" here. He wanted to know for sure that he would be able to take care of it. Everyone loves the roof, plenty of peace of mind knowing he wants it to be right and won't cut corners. He has tons of perfect reviews on here which is what drew me to him. I didn't need to go any farther and I am more than happy to add another glowing review.

Met with / received quotes from several roofing companies. The Home Wise Pros were very competitive in pricing and were up-front and honest on all costs related to the job. They did not try to upsell on unnecessary items like some of the others. Communication with Jay (the owner) was great throughout the whole process. If they were not already calling me with updates, my phone calls were either answered or returned within 24 hrs. They did the job ahead of schedule and finished in one-day. Actual costs were right on target with the quote. They even handled a few unique curveballs that my roof had to offer, with ease. Very happy with the results. Got 2 other estimates that were virtually the same. The advantage with Homewise is you deal directly with the company owner Jay, who checks in on the job multiple times and provides photo updates as the work is being done.

It was great, they came when they said they would completed the job in one day. They were there from 7:30 in the morning until about 8:00 in the evening. They even came back the next day to make sure everything was cleaned up. I was kept up date all day about the progress they were making. They were great I would hire them again.

Perfect. I left for work with an old leaky roof. Came home to a new roof. Yard was clean, job was done. Jay even found and fixed a problem with a shed roof (not part of the job--Thanks Jay!) He called me twice during the day to report progress and describe the hidden damage --which was much less than I expected (your results may vary!). The roof was about 1100 square feet total. A small porch required special treatment because it was not sloped enough to be leak-tight w/ a standard shingle installation.

Jay Gleason is fabulous to work with. He listens, is responsive, has a great crew and is absolutely trustworthy. He replaced my roof in 2014 and 3 of my neighbor's roofs afterwards. Jay replaced the roof on my son's 1924 house yesterday and he and his crew worked incredibly hard. We had 3 good estimates from other A listed Angie's List companies but we decided to go with Jay again because we know the quality of his work and he guarantees his work. Whatever question we had about our roof following its replacement in 2014, Jay treated us professionally and responded whereas most contractors don't want to talk to you after you pay. That was the decisive factor in working with Jay again.

Great. Weather looked like it might be a problem; however, they were able to schedule me before the next series of storms hit. I liked that the owner stopped by to make sure everything was going okay and kept me appraised during the whole process. Did a good job of cleaning up afterwards. Would definitely recommend to others.

I called to see if this company only did roof replacements of if they also did repairs, and if they would inspect to see which one is needed. I talked to Jay over the phone and, although they only do roof replacements, Jay took the time to explain to me why I didn't need his services; what I did need and how I could make sure I got what I needed from another contractor. When it is time to replace my roof, I will definitely come back to Jay.

Jay, the owner of The Home Wise Pros is the guy you want to work with when replacing your roof. I am so hesitant to use contractors for big jobs because I always feel like somehow I will get screwed. He explained in detail, with pictures, how he would replace our roof. I called 3 different roofers for estimates. One roofer never returned my call, and Jay and the other one gave very similar quotes. I went with Jay because I felt like he is an honest guy who will do what he says. He also said that he doesn't use subcontractors. The work was performed as scheduled and our roof looks great! He told me our 21 year old, never repaired roof may require some wood replacement, but that he would let us know during the job. In fact, we were out of the county when he worked on the roof. There were no replacement sheets needed. He could have charged me for as many sheets as he wanted and I would have had to take his word for it. But he didn't and I think that speaks to his integrity. He sent me in-process pics and final product pics. We were completely satisfied. I told him that I would recommend him to my friends.

Fantastic. I have an old craftsman house so there was some additional work required. They did a Great job. Very professional. Jay who runs it is who you communicate with throughout. Highly recommend.

These guys did a great job. They had the best price for installation include companies with the same brand shingles. They showed up on time and provided extremely good communication on what was going on. They cleaned up after the installation and the roof looks great!

All work was completed in one day, even though it was quite hot on the day of installation, the crew completed the work faster than I expected. Roof looks great.

For roofing, you can’t do better than Jay at Home Wise Pros. Jay did a superior job putting a fine new roof on our house, the neighbors like it, plus he was exceedingly generous and patient through the many weeks when we couldn’t decide upon which shingle we wanted. In addition to the usual manufacturer’s photos of shingles, Jay gave us addresses of houses which had roofing shingles of the kind we were interested in. We've had many hard rains since then, and haven't noticed a single leak. We had received estimates from several roofers, and Jay’s was the most reasonable.

After reading reviews on Angie's List, we gave Jay Gleason of The Home Wise Pros a call. Jay arrived on time for our consultation appointment, and was very well prepared. During our consultation he displayed numerous examples of previous jobs and their process through photographic documentation. He explained in detail all of the materials they use and why, and helped us choose a quality product that was not excessively priced. During the walk around, he pointed out differences between our old roof and new roof's our neighbors were enjoying. Jay was also very quick to point out that we did not need new gutters, spouts, or any other additional add-ons. On installation day, Jay arrived early with his crew soon following, and explained the events of the day in detail. The area around the house was well prepared for protection, and the crew was on the roof on time. While Jay was not onsite throughout the entire day, he came back to check in often enough that we didn't notice. When he was not on site, he called to check-in with progress updates and to check if we needed to leave (so he could advise his crew to pause). His crew were very respectful and professional. The job and clean up were completed well within the estimated time to completion. The next day, Jay came over to make a final inspection, and to sweep the yard again for stray nails (with a magnet). He showed us the pictures of our roof that were taken throughout the previous day's work, and answered any remaining questions. Dealing with Jay Gleason and The Home Wise Pros has been one of the most pleasant experiences we have ever had hiring professionals. We will recommend Jay and his company to all of our friends and family, and will certainly hire The Home Wise Pros again if needed.

The job had to be pushed back some due to weather that was not cooperating but once the date arrived they were there on-time. They laid tarps where they could to protect the deck and other areas. I went to work and by the time I came home they were about done. Everything was done as specified, they did a very good job with the final cleanup and once complete you couldn't tell they were there. Jim Gleason came over after the job and using a thumb drive full of photos taken by his crew he was able to show me the progress of the job and any problems they did (or didn't find). The cost came in right on the money and I could not be happier with the final results. He made sure I was happy with the job and understood everything that was done.

I had three companies provide estimates for putting a new roof on my home (e.g. shingles, ridge vent, pipe collars). All three were highly rated and all three provided similar estimates. Jay Gleaon (The Home Wise Pros Roofing), however, provided by far the most detailed and best description of the proposed work that needed to be done. He gave the impression of being a highly exprienced professional. This was verified by the subsequent work done on my home. His crew arrived on schedule at 7:30am and worked until the job was completely finished at 6:00pm the same day. Their work included taking pictures of the roof during the day. These photos were subsequently used by Jay to explain exactly what they did and why they did it. They took care not to hurt the plants around the house and at the end of the day did an excelllent job in cleaning up all roof waste. This included using a magnet to grab any of the 40,000 nails that missed falling on the tarps. From beginning to end I was impressed by the professionalism of The Home Wise Pros and their attention to all the details associated with installing the new roof. I was very happy with my decision to use them.
