One Hour Air Conditioning & Heating

Servicer was very nice and punctual. Very knowledgeable. Only complaint is that they did not honor advertised price for both units they would only honor it for one stating that the other unit was full price. Not sure I would have used this company if I had known that originally as the savings in the end wasn't much when applied to only one unit.

Technician was polite and professional.

That was a disaster. The guy must have been new, he must just started with them. He came in, he was trying to sell something that I did not even need. It was supposed to be a maintenance visit so I guess I will not be using him again. He recommended new unit or something like that but I did not go for it. The guy was to impress his sales tactics, that's all. The price was reasonable because of the special sale so there was no problem with that. He called me that he was on the way to come in.

He arrived on time and was very pleasant. He seem to do a thorough job of evaluating and cleaning the AC units. He will willing to answer all questions and explain them in layman's terms.

It was an Angie's list Big Deal that I purchased. It turned out fine. I actually had to end up replacing all the unit. They turned out to be a good vendor, I like them. They did the job. They came out a week after I purchased the deal. This was the first time I used them. They were pretty responsive and I like that. It was pretty hot and they were pretty understanding of the situation. So they just did it pretty quickly. The good thing was all the money that I spent was discounted when I did the final thing. They said anything I spend and it doesn't actually fix it, then it will be discounted if I just ordered the unit from them. I probably spent $800 ahead of time and that was deducted from the final charges. The unit seems to be working fine.

That went OK. There were no additional charges. The only issue I had was they just kind of mentioned a whole bunch of other things that could go wrong and might need to be done, so I had no sense of what really needed to be done. I'm not sure if I will use them again.

Went well..showed up on time, gave me detailed explanation on A/C check, and performed tasks efficiently.

Very prompt service. Cleaned the air conditioner cooling coils and inspected the outside unit. Found a couple of items that he told me to keep an eye on-No hard sell on any additional services which I really appreciate.

They were very courteous, polite and knowledgeable. They said my system is not repairable and I need a new one. They explained why it wasn't repairable very carefully and answered all my questions. They showed up on time and gave me all the information on buying a new system. They will be installing the new system next week.

I purchased a $69 Early Bird A/C Check-Up through Angie's list. The same service is advertized on vendor's web site at $66. The service was to include a "20-point check-up". At least two of the listed services were not performed - specifically: 1. Calibrate & level thermostat. 2. Flush condensate drain with anti--algae. . The technician, Matt Riley, diagnosed a faulty capacitor that had to be replaced. The cost was $476. It was a fixed price with no breakdown for parts and labor. I located the part on the internet for less than $80.00. The total time spent was approximately 2 hours with at least 15 minutes "encouraging" me to sign up for an annual service contract.and/or making an appointment for a salesman to quote a system replacement.This works out to over $200/hr for services actually performed, not counting the original cost of the coupon. I will not use their services again. In the future , I will insist on a parts/labor estimate before authorizing work by any contractor.

They were excellent, great, polite and very professional. Very good at explaining. They made suggestions about the system. They were informative and really took the time to explain things. The price for the Big Deal was great.

They came out and a checked out the inside and outside and was done within 25 minutes. I was told I needed to replace the whole unit. I don't doubt them because it is very old.

This was an Okay deal. They did what was included in the deal. We paid $475 more to add Freon. A couple of days later, I called because they never told me how much Freon they put in the unit. They charge a flat rate since they type of Freon my units use is expensive. The owner was very cordial and nice throughout the whole experience.

Went well. He was polite, clear, detailed, skillful, efficient. What more could one ask?

Technician came during scheduled window and called ahead to let me know he was coming. He did an inspection of the unit (inside and outside) and provided a list of recommended items to do. He provided a detail explanation of each of the items and why they were recommended and provided me a copy of the estimate. After the technician left I noticed an issue with the fan running even though the A/C was off. I called the office and they scheduled a dispatch for him or another technician to return later in the afternoon. The technician called back once he heard about the issue and was able to come back earlier and resolve the issue (there is a design issue with the wiring of the unit that lead to the fan running after the enclosure was put back together).

The whole process went very well as layed out above.

He found the coolent level was too high and removed 3 lbs of coolent. The system was running at 82% efficiency and is now running at 95% efficiency. The inspection was very through and is runnig very well.

Performed the check as outlined in the deal.

Told AC had ok capacitor, refrigerant level good. "Overall operation seems fine at this time". Come home evening of 22nd (2days after the 'service check')...house hotter than 85 degrees; lower thermostat (within 5 minutes) 3 large bangs (enough to make the dogs bark), immediately shut off system and go to basement to find a lot of water on the floor under the unit. Call One Hour and spend a good 30 minutes on and off hold and finally told no one available to address the issue. I knew that the unit had frozen up (due to the amount of water), meaning NO freon in unit. Service Doctors (found on internet) finds the high slide service valve leaking and then charged 10.5 pounds of freon into system. Am told by Service Doctors that the Goodman system is a reliable unit, however, Since One Hour installed it, I have had issues at least 2-3 times a year, Spring and Winter. (including freezing up twice). Called One Hour to speak to manager/owner (never got to) and told to Fax receipts to 'Terri' and more than one week after dealing with this company, have not heard back from them. Have contacted BBB.

The serviceman, Dre, arrived promptly and checked and serviced the AC unit. He said it was in good shape, but identified the areas I should be looking at in the future. He offered the annual services contract, but was not pushy about it. Dre also pointed out other really helpful service of the unit items that I could do myself. He was outstanding, and I will gladly use this company again.

He let me know I had too much refrigerant and my system was not run efficiently so they took about 3lbs out. I had a good experience all around.

Purchased a big deal for One Hour AC And Heating. They came out to do a check up on our system. The gentleman that came out was wonderful. He did a fantastic job. He was thorough checking everything and told me what I should be checking for. We now have them doing our regular service on the system.

Our system is only about two years old and was installed in the house prior to our purchasing the house. John, the technician, showed up and did what he was supposed to do. He was respectful and courteous. When he discovered that the refrigerant was low, he explained to me how this negatively impacts the system and raises our costs. I gave him permission to add additional refrigerant. Later that evening, I discovered water leaking down from the ceiling. Evidently it came from the condenser unit in the attic. John came the next morning and discovered the culprit, a drain trap that had never been cemented into place during the original installation. John glued the offending elbow joint into place and did not charge me for the service call. This is the kind of customer service that builds brand loyalty!

Scott arrived with in the promised time slot. He did a thorough performance test. Also cleaning, He pointed out potential problems.

The man came within the time window and removed the old unit. Installed the new one, taped up all the openings where air can get out even wrapped same of the pipes, put in a new thermostat all within 2.5 hours, less time then they thought. Hauled away the old unit and cleaned up after themselves.
