One Hour Air Conditioning & Heating

I first encountered John Kline when he came to install a humidifier that I ordered through Angie's list. John is a very professional and competent representative of One Hour Heating and Air. He explained the safety precautions he was doing prior to the install. Unfortunately the humidifier could not be installed due to issues encountered, and because of the safety aspect of the issues, it was necessary to replace the entire furnace. John called the office for additional information and then presented my options. I decided immediately to have One Hour replace the furnace. Jody and Alex arrived two days later with the new furnace and humidifier. This, too, was a painless process, and Jody was sure to go over all the new features on the furnace, as well as the regular maintenance it required. I then asked about replacing our old water heater. Jody provided a price and schedule. Again, two days later, Jody and Alex returned with a new water heater. They concluded the installation with a review of the new furnace and water heater. A very thorough job from start to finish. Thank you John, Jody and Alex!

Overall, excellent service. The technician was on time, did the work very well and even found (and repaired) a problem with the water lines in the heater. They were very conscious of keeping the house and work area by wearing disposable booties any time they were in the house.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It worked out fine. They did what they were supposed to do at the advertised price. They didn't do anything wrong. I ended up getting a service contract with somebody else but if I hadn't, I would use them again.

Wonderful customer service. He even did a furnace inspection at no charge with the service. Educated me on my current furnace, the problems, and the potential need for a new system in the future. Did what he could do to fix some leaking issues with a pump that was not even part of the install, just because he wanted to help!! :)

Everything went great! The technician showed up on time when there was freezing rain and icy road conditions (AMAZING). He explained everything thoroughly and demonstrated how the unit works. He explained other services the company has to offer, but he didn't do it in a way that seemed pushy or like a salesman. For the record, I'm a salesman. They get my referral from now on!

Technicians evaluated the boiler and recommended changes to system. However, as part of the evaluation, the technician made an effort to remedy limited heat to the 2nd floor and in the process heat to the first floor was reduced. The next technician remedied the loss of heat to the 1st floor, but that resulted in water leaking from the boiler in the basement. Initially there was miscommunication about what needed to be done to remedy the situation, however, one of the owners graciously agreed to visit my home and address the problem. Mr. Collins spent a good portion of his day taking care of the water leak and at the same time educated me about the boiler and the repair that was recommended by his technician. I am most appreciative of the prompt response and successful efforts and plan to keep this company as my heating and cooling service vendor because of Mr. Collins' work. I will also recommend them to friends and colleagues.

Technician was very nice and professional, driving long distance in the snow. He wore shoe protectors to protect our floors. He performed a free inspection of our heating system even though they were unable to fit the humidifier that we had purchased. He was very helpful, offering up potential alternatives humidify and clean the ambient air in our home.

After playing a bit of phone tag with the vendor, I was able to get them scheduled to install my new whole home humidifier. It seemed at the time that the installation went fine, although I can't say I was thrilled with the location the installer chose, which is very difficult to access. |Unfortunately, after 6 weeks the unit backed up and flooded my basement because the installer kinked the drain line so tightly around my furnace that eventually the bend in the kink backed up and the unit over flowed. There is no safety to prevent this so it probably ran and backed up for nearly a day before we found it and shut the unit off. One Hour AC (Terry) was good about sending someone back out to fix the work and even the technician commented on the poor choice of installation location and improper installation of the drainage line. We got it all worked out and everything seems to be fine now but they created a headache for me and we needed fans to dry out our basement.

It went OK. However, I ended up to buy one-year maintenance contract.

They did a good job, but with all of the added stuff, I ended up spending much more than I wanted to spend and probably unnecessarily. He did a very thorough job. I ended up buying some maintenance plan. I do not think that I needed it and some how I got convinced. They set it to my convenience and the person that came was excellent. He knew his stuff and did a great job and he was very knowledgeable. All of that was good. They said that it would be cheaper in the long run. He was very personable and professional.

Scheduling was easy. The inspector showed up on time. He inspected both furnaces and changed the filter in one (the other didn't need it). He was very professional and personable.

Generally speaking, they were very easy to work with. It resulted in us replacing our old heating and air conditioning unit. The work was done promptly and the workers were courteous. We also purchased multiple year checkup services as well. Since I have had really bad experiences with HVAC contractors in the past, One Hour was a step in the right direction. I would recommend them to my friends.

He cleaned it, changed the filter and gave me advice on HVAC maintenance and air duct cleaning. Dre was very professional, helpful and efficient. He put on a shoe cover so that he doesn't bring any dirt in.

He came on time and performed the work in a little over an hour. He found no problems so there wasn't anything more for hime to do.

The Company representative, John Kline, exceeded all of my expectations in providing an extremely thorough job of inspecting my furnace and providing an enlightening explanation about his observations and recommendations. If all of the employees of One Hour are like John, the Company is going to be very successful here in the Washington metro area or for that matter, wherever it might operate. As far as I'm concerned, One Hour is now my company of choice for all of my HVAC needs !!!

Nathan was early, very knowledgeable, courteous and professional. People like him are hard to find these days. He did excellent work. I don't recall the ladies name that coordinated the scheduling but she was pleasant to work with as well. I will definitely use One Hour AC & Heating again. They made it on my permanent list.

I was very impressed with the customer service I received, with this company. I bought an Angie's List special and they contacted me immediately to set up an appointment. When an earlier opening came up they also got in touch though I couldn't take advantage of it. John Kline, the tech who came out called me to let me know he was on his way and that despite heavy traffic would be at my house by 8:45. And he was. He figured out how to install the humidifier despite a wonky set up of the furnace we recently had installed. John was respectful and very thorough from all I could tell. He also answered my questions about installing a chimney liner and gave me a price for it but also said that perhaps my plumber could do it for me, which I appreciated. The one issue I had was his gentle but insistent suggestions to buy his company's filters (not doubt first rate, but SUPER expensive). He gave me several pointers on how to tell if a filter was doing its job but never quite answered the question of which filter to buy in a store. I also got some numbers on how much it would cost to line our chimney and do a whole house duct cleaning. The former seemed like a reasonable quote, while he quoted me $800 for a duct cleaning. When I checked with the folks who had installed my furnace, I was told that under the customer service agreement, I would be charged $250. I really liked how I was treated by these folks, and really liked John's thoughtful approach--but would use them again only after checking prices to see how they compare with other companies.

We were very satisfied with this service. Jody, the technician, was very professional, friendly, and experienced. The installation was fairly quick, and he left the job site neat and clean. We will consider using this company for HVAC work again.

Very well. Service technician was knowledgeable, professional and very prompt. He thoroughly explained everything he was doing and what issues were uncovered by the testing and cleaning. I am having them come back out in a few weeks to inspect, test and clean the furnace to prep for winter. Overall, very, very pleased.

We bought the Angie's List coupon for a complete A/C check-up. The technician came out to the house and did a thorough job and showed me the areas of concern in our system; the parts that will need to be replaced first. Overall very instructive and didn't try to sell me on repairing those things on the spot.
