I used them because they were a friend of a friend's. They were very good. They were not a member of Angie's List; I told them they should inquire into it. They showed up very early and on time. They replaced most of the windows in the house on the same day. They were very responsible and cleaned up after themselves. They did a very good job. The people who did the work were very good.

The front door installation didn't go so well as when the old front door was removed termites were found. ICU Window and door wanted to continue to install the new door, and stated that they had removed all infested wood. I insisted that they let me check the sub floor and beams as an area 4 feet wide by about 1 foot wide seemed to have termite infested wood, and the sub flooring beams were rotted as well. I brought in another contractor to tear out all the termite infested wood, which it turns out was an area approximately 15 feet wide and 10 feet deep from the front of the house, new 8" beams had to be installed, new studs, headers, flooring, etc. Termite remediation was also completed both inside and outside the house by Terminex. If ICU window and door had their way they would have just covered up the damage, and been on their way, leaving the termites to create even more damage. Secondly the when the salesman came to discuss the replacement bathroom windows, I specifically told him that I wanted the entire window, window frame, and sash replaced, he assured me that the entire window would be replaced. When they came to do the work, I was busy watching the guys replace the front door, but upon going upstairs to check on the replacement of the bathroom windows I saw that they had ordered only replacement window inserts, and not the complete windows with frames and sashes. This was a complete bait and switch as ICU window and door was not the cheapest, and I went with them specifically because they stated they were going to replace the entire window as the current window sash was rotting. They pointed to the contract that said "replacement windows", and stated these were replacement windows, and therefore met the requirements of the contract. BE VERY WARY IF YOU USE THIS COMPANY, THEY WILL TRY AND RIP YOU OFF.
