FINE Fence

Mike arrived promptly for the initial estimate. I changed my mind regarding the area to be fenced, and he came back for a second estimate without a problem. He was very professional and offered input to help me make my final decision. They came to do the work a couple of days later in the snow. Clean up was thorough. The fence looks beautiful and is very secure. I would highly recommend this company!!

They are good. We don't have any complaints. There were some nails that weren't properly put in the wood and some were missing. When we called them, they came out and checked and did it. We like to look at the fence; we think it's really pretty. I liked Mike. I don't know if he is the owner or the manager, but he was very professional.

It was 400 feet. They were prompt. They were here when they said they would be. The main thing was the quick response because we just moved in and we had dogs that we had to keep going out with, so we needed a fence. They were very responsive. As a matter of fact, they came out the same week. They put it up in one day. They were good. It is great. There are no holes, so the dogs can't get out. They did a nice job.

Seeing this company in the Angie's List magazine, I knew that we had to at least get an estimate from Fine Fence. Initial contact was easy, and we setup a date for an estimate. I unfortunately became sick, and had to reschedule, all of which was no problem for Fine Fence. Upon rescheduling, Mike came out and provided his estimate. He wanted to know what type of fence, where it would go, and how much of a budget I had. I was also able to provide him with the property survey, and he even sought out the property stakes that were already installed on the property. He provided an estimate within 24 hours, which was a very good estimate. We discussed ways to make it economical, yet still look great. We scheduled a date, that was far in advance, for installation. The week of the installation, particularly the day of our installation, we got our HUGE SNOWQUESTRATION snow storm. Which barely did anything. However, do to the unpredictability of the storm, we rescheduled for a few days later. Mike said the install crew would arrive between 9:00 AM and 9:30 AM. The crew was at our house by 8:30AM !! Great punctuality! They got right to work, unloading their truck of materials and tools, and began layout. Mike arrived promptly at 9:00 AM and we went over the final plans. Mike even had a metal detector to search for a couple more of the property stakes we could not find. Our neighbor even helped us look too. The installation went great, and Mike's crew were extremely efficient and hard-working. They worked for almost 4 hours straight, cutting, posting, and hacking away at our fence. It turned out just FINE! Overall, Mike and FINE fence are a great company. They are honest, punctual, hard working and willing to stay in your budget.

Very well. Mike is very personable, he left samples for materials and color and once we got everything agreed he came the next week day that the weather permitted installation. His team was pleasant and industrious and finished in one day, including just about all clean-up. We get positive comments from our neighbors and guests on the look and workmanship of our new fence. Also the county permit process was taken care of by Fine Fence and totally transparent to us (but verified to have been done). Best of all we feel safer about kids playing in the yard with less chance they could run into the street.

It went very smooth. I obtained HOA approval and Fine Fence obtained the building permit. This was a very positive experience.

We had an excellent experience with Mike at Fine Fence. He quickly returned my email requesting an estimate and came out for an estimate within a couple of days. Fine fence took out our old fence and replaced it with a 3 rail split rail fence with wire mesh. They performed the replacement within a week of the estimate and completed the work in one day. They cleaned up thoroughly, and left our yard and fence line in great condition. We are very pleased with the quality of work and the price.

From beginning to end this was an enjoyable project .Mike is wonderful to work with and the resulting fence transforms the yard. He has an exceptional crew,too. who did the job in miserable weather. This is an a+ company.

Mike was very responsive and gave us an estimate very quickly. He was very professional and showed us and explained to us all of our options. We were very pleased with the overall look of the fence. The quality of the wood is great. However, the main part that we were not at all pleased with was 1 of the 3 gates. See picture. This part of the fence is on a little bit of incline, so I understand that the gate would be a little more difficult to hang. However, after talking with Mike about our dissatisfaction of how the gate looked, he said there was nothing he could do about it. For paying close to $10,000, I would expect to have a gate that was at least somewhat more aesthetically pleasing. It's not just off by a little bit, it is completely off. Also see the bottom- there is too much of a gap. Our dog can squeeze out the bottom. If he had disclosed that this was how the gate would look from the beginning, that would be one thing. But there was no mention of this issue. If he would fix the gate, we would have been completely satisfied and given him an A on all acounts.

Our experience with Fine was great! We had a couple other estimates done for approx 300 feet of 3 rail paddock fence with wire to keep our dog in the yard. Fine's estimate was a few hundred dollars lower than the other estimates and the turn-around time for getting the job done was about a week. Mike from Fine was very accomodating to how we wanted certain aspects laid out. From the time I called to get an estimate to when the job was done was just over a week. We are very happy with the work that was done and with the entire process to get there. I would definately recommend them!

In less than a day and a half, The crew showed up, they removed our old fence in no time, dug new holes for new posts and started construction. The guys doing this work performed like Zen fence-masters. Every person had a job and the fence went up with unbelievable precision and speed. This was a large job- a thousand linear feet of old fence to be removed and new board fence to be erected. I watched these guys work the first day thinking they'd finish it all, and they nearly did, leaving only when the light ran out. They returned the following day and finished building the gates and placing trim finishing the entire job before noon.... a total of less than 36 hours! They cleaned up every last scrap of debris and left our place looking like a page from a magazine. I was truly stunned by the efficiency of this business and the proficiency of the crew. I can only give them an excellent rating because there was no option for "AMAZING."

Left a message for Mike and he called me back that same day. Stopped by the house that afternoon and had a look at the property. I think I had the quote in my email either that night or the next morning. VERY quickly. The best part was that he was able to do the job quickly so that I don't have to worry about my new puppy escaping. Had a small issue with the neighbor's fence but he had his guys come back the next morning to take care of it. Very professional.

Mike from My Fence Guy responded back when we sent him a message through Angie's List. We had lots of questions about products and price, and he answered everything very fast. When he came to our home to take measurements he even brought loads of pictures of his work so we could see exactly what we wanted. He did the home visit on a Saturday and scheduled to have the fence done on Friday. Due to some complications at a different job he was doing, he was unable to make the Friday appointment but gave us plenty of notice. He worked some things out and was able to make it on Thursday so that way we could have the fence done by the weekend. His crew was very nice and worked very fast. They were in and out in less than 5 hours. Overall we are very satisfied with this company and would use them again.

Fence as described above. Mike was very professional. Came out the day before so he could find the property stakes and go over the plan with my husband. Then the day of installation they were very concerned that everything was placed exactly how we wanted it. They started about 10:00 and finished the same day. Dug the post holes by hand, dry packed the post in with cement. Mike checked back with us a couple of days later to make sure everything was okay.

Everything was great. Very responsive, work was scheduled quickly and performed in one day. Site was left clean. Gates work and look great. They made sure to mount the fence so that there was no space underneath for my dog to crawl underneath. I got 4 installation quotes. Other than Long Fence that was >1000 more, the other 2 companies were close, but still more expensive and/or less responsive than FINE. I have no issues recommending FINE fence for any future job.

The work went very well overall. The fence and 3 gates are made of very high quality wood. The design was great. Our backyard has a slope and they did a great job working around that. Everything was left in perfect order - no wood scraps etc. The fence looks absolutely great and we are thrilled with it. the company was a pleasure to work with.

Mike was really great to work with. He was honest, responsive, and really worked with us on options and pricing. He was also able to get it done in a very timely manner. Would highly recommend Fine Fence to others.

Great experience start to finish...he is professional and courteous...does what he says he will do!

Mike was repsonsive from the first call - always returning calls and emails in a timely fashion. His estimate was half the price of other quotes. There may be some minor reasons for that (e.g., he used nails instead of screws, some of the pickets could be sanded more) but no reason can account for the cost difference - his price was simply the most reasonable by far! And you simply would not know that I spent less - it looks very good! We are going to stain it ourselves, and it will look even better once we do that, but the fence is exactly what I wanted and exactly what we discussed before his team started -- he stuck to our agreement, including the original estimate. And that included extra details he threw in for no extra charge such as connecting it to my neighbor's fence, which was not quite up to our property line - he aligned the fences nicely. I was also impressed with how fast his team worked. I was surprised that they were able to start and finish the entire job in just one day!

Reviewed Angie's List for fence contractors and based on reviews, we selected Fine. Called and Mike was able to come out within the week to work on a quote (I was not in any rush for this project - just needed to get the ball rolling so I could submit a change request to my HOA before the next architectural committee meeting). Mike is professional, walked the property with me, discussed some ideas on how to fence (I have a forest conservation easement in my back yard, so we had to figure out how to work with those constraints). Sent a copy of my plat to Mike and had a quote within a day or so. After thinking more about the project, asked Mike to consider the changes (I decided to keep existing fences on the sides of my property and changed the type of fence I wanted), he came back out to do the final quote with me, which came back in the ballpark I expected. After getting the ok from the HOA, told Mike I could proceed in a couple of weeks after returning from vacation. When I got back, received an email that he could get his crew out on the upcoming Friday (this was the week after the terrible windstorm and during brutal hot weather). I was not able to be at the house when they started, but I gave Mike my cell phone number and told him to contact me if he had any questions. The project was fairly straight forward, but Mike did give me a couple of calls once they got to the site just to confirm how to manage the fence line when/if they encountered trees, what I wanted removed, update me as to how work would proceed, etc. I believe the guys (maybe a crew of 4?) started around 9 am, working through blistering hot weather (probably 100 degrees) until they finished up around 7 pm. They cleaned up and disposed of everything perfectly. My neighbors think the fence looks great and were also impressed by the work ethic of the crew.

I contacted Mike at Fine Fence a few weeks before going to settlement on my new house. He was very responsive to my original email and did not hesitate to meet me at the property during an inspection to see the property and draw an estimate on different types of fences and materials. He was very patient with me through the home buying process and communicated with me frequently as I made adjustments to the original estimate. My main concern was getting the fence installed quickly for my two dogs. Amazingly enough they were installing the fence as my moving truck drove up! Mike even took care of removing a yellow jacket nest they encountered while digging the posts. The fence was perfect! He designed it so the taller side blended in smoothly into the shorter sides and the privacy fence was designed to compliment the pickets. His crew also took care to bring the pickets flush to the ground so my dogs could not squeeze under. My friends and neighbors have all commented not just on how pretty it looks but on the quality of the workmanship. I highly recommend Fine Fence.

Mike was very responsive to my emails, showed up on time for the estimate, and got the job scheduled and completed very quickly. He showed us photos of his work displaying different fencing options to help us decide on the type of fencing we wanted. Once we decided to move forward with the work, Mike had his crew were out within two days and completed the job within one day. The crew did a great job and the fence looks great.

Mike performed estimate and crew completed work without any issues. White PVC picket fence looks great. Excellent work and price was below other estimates.
