FINE Fence

It went well with a few hiccups from the neighbors, One neighbor wanted to cut down a tree near the fence line before the new fence was built and the neighbor on the other side wanted to add on a connecting fence to his house. Mike was very accommodating and patient given the circumstances. The work was done quickly and I am still pleased with the results, three and a half years later.

What a great company! FINE Fence is a pleasure to work with and I cannot recommend them enough. I first received an estimate from them almost a year ago and wound up having to delay my fence project due to some unexpected but necessary home repairs. When I contacted them this year, they honored the original pricing and scheduled my project right away. Their communication is excellent, their pre-installation research and prep is thorough and the finished project is just lovely. I love my new fence!

Mike was very professional, and even though he was not the cheapest, he guaranteed the quickest installation of the contractors that were asked to quote on this project and, as this was my priority, he was given the contract. As we all know, a promise is one thing, but carrying it out, can be something else, but FINE FENCE did not disappoint. Mike had already made a few trips to the site even before we had closed on the deal on the purchase of the property in order to do a preliminary survey, and to establish property boundaries and local government requirements. I must say that everyone, from the lady answering the phone at his office, to his project team were all very efficient. His guys arrived on time as promised and were very efficient in getting the the holes dug and completed the installation in two days. It could even have been completed in one day, had the hole digging m/c worked properly but, as this was quoted as a two day project, I was not at all unhappy. The installation team cleaned up after the job was completed, and even stacked the trimmed bushes in an area where it could be easily worked into bundles and stored for disposal. Mike visited the job site regulalry and the end result was a great job, and they are highly recommended

Mike of Fine Fence is a great guy and his company is equally great. He gave me the best price of 6 other proposals, and he used Cedar wood to top it off..!!! His crew of 4 did an incredible job, from when they pulled up to when they left was 2 hours....when the foreman said 2 hours I was like, yea sure. They did it in under that actually and left no mess and did a complete professional job. I would highly recommend Mike and Fine Fence and we will be calling them for any future projects we may have. It went awesome. Mike and his crew, Jeremy also, did a great job in the snow and cold. I felt for the guys digging and the freezing weather. Jeremy came out in Janurary before we moved in and gave us an exceptable quote within 24 hours. While the cheapest quote it was within reason. We had wait a few weeks until we moved in, out choose, but on the day of the install Jeremy and his guys were there on time ready to go. They installed the fence that day and were done by 5 PM. The stairs were finished the next day and looked awesome. We were impressed with the workmanship and quality of the job. when we get ready to replace the deck we will call Fine Fence. On a side note. Mike went above and beyond the call of duty when the neighbor complained that the fence went over into his yard. Long story short the neighbor was upset because the previous owner may have built a shead that went over into our neighbors property. Mike came out and found the markers that showed the fence was built within the property line. He did not have to do that. So we were very impressed that he did that and the neighbor is now happy. If we need Fine Fences services again I will not hesitate to have them come out again.

Fine gave us reasonable estimates on several options for replacements and did an excellent job in explaining the good and bad on each option. They were very good in finding a solution to an issue we had with a tree bordering our neighbors property. Both the estimator and workmen showed up on time and completed the work as planned. The fence is excellent and they cleaned up after themselves. A very good experience.

They were stellar. They showed up early. They got the job done in one day. They went above and beyond. I asked them to do a little custom work after they have already put the fence up and they agreed, no problem and they didn't charge me anything extra. I'd highly recommend them.

The experience started out wonderfully when Charlie came to provide an estimate. He noticed that we had some siding out of place and took the time to fix it. He then provided the estimate. The price was a little higher than other quotes we received, but the work on the website looked better than the other companies, so we used Fine. The work was done done in a timely fashion and was excellent. The only hiccup we had was our Verizon cable was cut, but this was due to Miss Utility not marking the line.

We contacted a number of fence specialist companies. We discovered that our dog could escape by jumping over our4 foot picket fence so needed to move to a 6 foot privacy fence. We did not want to spent much as this had not been on our priority list before the dog problem, though parts of the existing fence were worn down from weather over many years. Fine Fence was prompt and professional, and everything went as planned. We stuck with treated pine, but cedar arched doors -- we are really glad about this cosmetic accent on both sides of the house. We are very happy with the new fence, as are our dogs. The only minor disappointment, if you can call it that, is the amount of vegetation they had to cut or remove altogether for the installation. We're over it and will plant some new things in spring to further beautify.

Fine Fence took care of all the details: from finding the hidden boundary stakes in the ground, to dealing with the homeowners association requirements, to obtaining the required government permits. As for the fence: highest quality construction with the best materials available. I would not hesitate to deal with this company again or to recommend using this company to anyone.

Fine fence did a great job installing the patio and fence at our new home in Martinsburg WV. They always came on time and were always professional. Very happy with communication after the fact also. They took care of all the permits all I had to do was work with the hoa. Update : 10/25/15 We have had significant settling occur on the paver patio. I contacted them in early August and way told something would happen in the next few weeks. After about two months I contacted the owner and was told the guy I had talked to before no longer worked for them. So no warranty paperwork or anything was put into their system to stay on contact with me. Here we are a month later getting closer and closer to snow and ice time and I have heard nothing. I had been going to use Fine for some future patio expansions, starting to think that now. I understand wanting to couple the patio warranty repair with a nearby job, but waiting three months with virtually not contact is frustrating. I have not heard from Mike since Oct 2 despite an email and a phone (call made during business hours) message. Update: 10/27/15 Mike got ahold of my via facebook messaging stating that upon looking at the photographs I sent him the engineer recommended doing the work in the spring to allow the soil to go through another freeze/thaw pattern. Nothing about the patio right now appears to be a danger so I agreed. I have adjusted my review accordingly and hope to do so again in the spring when things get worked on. When I can talk to Mike he is always kind and professional.

FINE was good. They did a good job. They were honest, timely, and decent people. The fence is firm and the wood used is of high quality. They honored their agreement. They came down to match the price with other groups, so the price was good.

Excellent customer service, very fast, and good price. We had the site survey and quote done September 27th and the whole fence was installed on October 2nd. Mike took care of the permit and everything else needed; he was always very responsive and professional. The total amount of fence was 241' plus a nice gate. We love the fence! It actually makes the back yard seem bigger and the dog and kids can run free! Fine Fence is an outstanding company.

The new pressure treated wood privacy fence surrounding most of our property is jaw-dropping beautiful! We've had more than one neighbor compliment us on it. We'd received estimates from two other companies but weren't impressed with their vague ideas and the follow-up. Then Charlie from Fine Fence arrived for his estimate appointment and we knew this was the company we had to hire. Shortly after that visit, our detailed design, complete with a drawing, was emailed; and it accomplished everything we wanted, including enclosing the carport and making the 6' fence esthetically pleasing to the eye from the front of the property. It also has lattice along the front of the property, along with two latched swinging doors, plus a wide double drive gate made of cedar wood. Now our pet can have the full run of the property. Mike, who owns the company, was a huge help with questions (before, during and after the installation) and was extremely flexible. Twice we delayed the installation date to allow for completion of a new roof and installation of a new shed, which were also done by Angie's List providers. Mike took it all in stride and was always easy to contact. The very first day of our two-day job, Mike was on sight making sure things were running smoothly. Jamie was our crew leader tasked with keeping the work flowing, keeping Mike and us updated, all while pitching in as part of the working team. Julio, Alejandro and Cristian rounded out the crew and the four men worked extremely hard and were very friendly. The 2nd day on the job, it was drizzling and a lot cooler than the previous day. The men arrived, as promised, by 7:30 am (actually before) despite making the trip from their homes in W. Va. Jamie told us the day before that they wouldn't ring the bell when they arrived, so we could sleep in while they worked. We eventually heard the sound of hammering and came out to greet them and all was running as efficiently as ever. And when they were done, what workmanship. Our fence was better than we could ever have imagined. They also took great care cleaning our property, putting everything in order before loading up and waving goodbye. The following week, we received the final bill without any issues what-so-ever. Fine Fence is mighty fine.

I initially found Fine Fence online, but later looked on Angie's List and saw they had lots of good reviews. Initially Mike (owner) took a couple of days for a return phone call, but sent his sales rep (Charlie) out to estimate the job. The estimate was reasonable with better materials that other bidders were offering. Fine was also able to do the job in approx. 10 days, with next bidder 5 weeks out. Fine got the job and with a few back and forth phone calls the job was scheduled. Mike's crew showed up on time with all materials needed and immediately got to work removing the old fence. At the end of day one, the entire old fence was out and all the post holes had been dug for the new fence and set in the holes. Mike's crew worked extremely hard, but always paid attention to doing things right. Mike stopped out himself before, during and after the job and followed up to make sure we were happy. In 2 days Fine Fence transformed our collapsing old fence with a beautiful new one.

We were given a very good price for the installation of a new back yard fence. The installers showed up at the requested time. They removed and hauled away the old fence and installed the new one in just a few hours. We requested that special care be taken with our neighbor's vegetation near the fence line as they were worried about it. They took great care to avoid any damage. The new fence looks great. Fine fence was very professional and responsive from start to finish. We would recommend them highly.
