Quality Insulation

From several bids, we chose Quality to add insulation to our attic. Dan offered the most complete package. Beyond the essentials of baffles, sealing and more insulation, he suggested building a storage solution and giving a finished look to the whole project. His expert crew accomplished all this. We appreciated their diligence and the great care they took to protect our house as they worked. The attic now looks amazing and, even more important, we finally have a well-insulated home. With Quality Insulation, the name says it all.

Overall the work was done on-time and as promised. A day or two later I noticed that some of the foam sealant had poked out of one of the vents. I let them know and they immediately scheduled a time to come back out and fix it. You always know how good someone is for the customer service they provide *after* you've paid them. I think they did a fantastic job.

My wife and I echo what so many others have said about Quality Insulation, which is that they are outstanding we couldn't have asked for anything more. It started when we got hit with an ice dam in the January 2016 blizzard, resulting in water damage in a couple of rooms in our house. We knew it was an historic snowfall, but we wanted to do everything we could to prevent it in the future. As we learned more about it, we discovered that a properly insulated attic was one of the key ingredients to preventing ice dams. Our insurance adjuster and my brother-in-law thought we had the original 1960s insulation in the main part of the house (not the newer addition), so I went on Angie's List to look for insulation companies and found Quality Insulation and all of the positive reviews. I emailed Dan Roberson on a Monday afternoon, received a call back within an hour and set up a time for him to come by the house the next day. He was immediately likable on the phone and in person, and you knew he was someone that wanted to treat his customers right. He agreed that upgrading the insulation would make a significant difference in the attic, not to mention save on utility bills. We settled on two days later for his crew to come back and do the work. They showed up right on time and were also outstanding. Ryan explained what they would do and took before and after pictures of the attic. They also made the extra effort to check out the entire attic and told me the positives and potential concerns to give more more information to work with. For example, though the siding on our soffits has holes in it, they are covered by wood and not vented, as is recommended. They also made sure that we had sufficient insulation in the addition to our house (beyond the original section), all at no extra charge. Ryan also provided additional pictures that he thought would be helpful in our considering next steps for our roof and attic. They were done in less time than they allotted and cleaned up flawlessly. That wasn't the end. I then received a call from Dan to both see how everything went and share his ideas on what else I may or may not want to consider to prevent future ice dams. He offered his thoughts on whether certain steps would likely be worth the expense or not, suggested ways I may be able to keep costs down, and referred me to someone he has used before at his own house. He also said I could feel free to call him anytime with additional questions. We give our highest recommendation to Dan, Ryan and everyone at Quality Insulation. We know they want the best for us, before, during and even after the work had been completed.

They were very responsive for both the estimate and providing the actual service. The day my wife called for a quote; Dan was able to come by and give us an estimate. Of the three places that we had quotes from, they were the best price. They were able to work well with our schedule and showed up on time. They were very professional and left no mess. The insulation itself has made a huge difference.

Dan was one of four contractors who came over to provide an estimate. Our house had minimal insulation and we wanted to make it right. He told me what was needed, and after my appointment he quickly responded to my follow-up questions by email. His son, Ryan, and his team arrived early, finished early, were professional, and made no mess whatsoever. Ryan even took some money off the final bill, compared to the original estimate, based on the work required. Fantastic! I wish all contracting companies were this great. Hire them, you won't be disappointed.

Beautiful job up and down. Kitchen is now a comfortable space, easily heated. Job in the attic not only looks great, it actually created more room for storage,. We are learning to reduce the heat setting downstairs because the third floor now retains heat so efficiently. Owner Dan Roberson was a delight to deal with -- personable and professional. He promised a first-rate job and was as as good as his word. His son Ryan led the crew of four, and they were pleasant and efficient in our home. Ryan is less gregarious than his dad, but just as knowledgeable and easy to work with. Quality Insulation gave us just that: Quality Insulation and a quality home improvement experience.

These guys aced it. From Dan being honest about my home not needing extensive work (yet) beyond attic insulation to the pricing and scheduling, everything was perfectly smooth and the crew was phenomenally professional and competent. It's not rocket-surgery--you create an edge, run the tube up to the attic, and have someone on the truck shred and feed the insulation into the tube so it can be sprayed in the attic. But these guys paid attention to details, explained everything and left absolutely zero mess behind. Highly recommended and great that they were so local for me.

It went excellent. Dan showed up the next day after I called and was very friendly and relaxed. He explained all the improvements he would make and how we could use insulation to avoid a costly plumbing job. (due to freezing pipes) We settled on a price and we scheduled the job for a few days later. His son and the team showed up at exactly 7:30 and went to work. Ryan explained everything that was going to happen and even beefed up some areas they didn't quote. At the end I was given a run down of the job with photos emailed to me. I would highly recommend them if you are looking to save energy costs. I wish all contractors conducted business this way.

Excellent! They were a pleasure to work with. They had the patience to help us over time to determine the best solutions for us. They were prompt, attentive and friendly, and did great work.

Great! They were timely and neat. I also liked how during the estimate Dan showed me his license and insurance. That gave me confidence in his integrity and work. It assured me that he understands the importance of honesty.

We would highly recommend Dan and his crew. We decided to email him because of his stellar review on Angie's List and he did not disappoint. I emailed Dan on a Thursday and he got back to me within hours. The work was completed by noon on Monday. Dan and his crew were extremely polite, respectful, efficient and neat. He was patient with us over the phone and explained exactly what he was going to do and why it was important.

It went extremely well. Dan was able to schedule the work shortly after I received the estimate. It was done in one day, and it looks great. I appreciated that Dan's plan was able to allow me to keep the storage space that is under the eaves, which some other insulation companies said they couldn't do. The walls had previously been opened by another contractor. Dan closed the walls for a small fee. I would recommend Quality Insulation highly. Their work is professional, reasonably priced, and they are great to work with.

Dan provided friendly, timely service to us. We wanted to insulate our attic before the winter, and were not expecting the level of service he and his crew provided. All was quick and easy - Dan called me within an hour of my initial inquiry, did an estimate that morning, and completed the work within a week or so. At our place, they were efficient, kept things clean, and even dealt with a bathroom vent that was improperly installed. I would highly recommend their services. It's difficult to believe the cost/benefit analysis would be better with anyone else.

He was gracious friendly and above all professional

Dan was able to bring in his men the day after he first inspected my attic. Then he was able to finish the job several days later. the work was great. Dan did not try to sell me on a more expensive job and in fact made recommendations on how I could save money. Quality Insulation were a pleasure to work with and really put themselves out for me.

These people are the real deal. On time, immaculate work, great price - results exactly as described. I couldn't be happier.

Very fast turnaround. We got an estimate on Sunday, and work was performed the next day. The crew arrived promptly, didn't make much noise, protected my floors with cloth, took before and after pictures, and explained the work they did. I didn't get any other estimates from other companies, so I have no idea if this was the best price, but I'm glad to have my attic insulated and properly sealed! I have a 1930s home that had almost no insulation in the attic. Also, I'll be eligible for a $250 tax credit from my county.

Would highly recommend! From the responsive request to set-up an estimate appointment, to the quick turn-around for the actual job to be completed. It was a very pleasant experience.

We were very pleased from start to finish and would recommend them to anyone looking to insulate house. The crew was great; fast, efficient, clean and were very experienced and knew exactly what they were doing. This was a long overdue project for our 1932 house and we look forward to having the second floor stay cooler in summer! They were great communicators and answered all questions and concerns.

To get to the point, best contractor I have ever worked with and so much better than the last insulation guys I used at our old house. What all the other top rated reviews on here say is 100% accurate so let me point out some of the more subtle items that I noticed working with these guys. 1. They said they would show up at 7:30 and they were there at 7:30. 2. From the second they walked in the door they put protection down on everything in the house including covering our bed which is always a huge issue for my wife. 3. They noticed problems outside of their agreed upon scope and just fixed them (i.e. broken and disconnected ductwork) - no additional charge. 4. The last time I did an attic insulation job, I had to pay $400 for an attic hatch - I forgot to discuss this with them and noticed they put down a reflect barrier right over the attic hatch to stop air infiltration at one of the major areas where cold air always gets in during the winter - just a part of the job. 5. The day we got an estimate, it was noted that we had soffits on the outside of the house that should ideally be closed. I told them I was considering residing the house to which the response was don't pay us to do it, just have your siding guy do it so you don't have to pay for it twice. 6. Great father and son team! 7. There was no trace of them when they left.

Dan gave a fair estimate, better than others received and was clear in what he felt was and was not necessary to get done. After I accepted the estimate he was able to get the work done the next day. Dan and his son Ryan were prompt and got the work done in a timely fashion. They were extremely professional and answered all of my questions. Highly recommended.

It went extremely well. From a callback to my initial message from his vacation in Europe to the completion of the job, Dan and his son Ryan and the work crew were extremely friendly and professional. Dan is very personable and relaxed and we enjoyed his initial visit for the estimate. He was very open and honest about the solutions and actually discouraged us from the "Cadillac" option of replacing all of the existing insulation and the fiberboard sheets. Ryan and his team were very efficient and the quality of the work was outstanding. After discovering that the actual space and the job itself was smaller than originally projected, they significantly decreased the cost of the job. You get a great combination of professionalism, quality work, and reasonable pricing, and a friendly owner and work crew with Quality Insulation.

Dan is very easy to work with and had great recommendations on what to do and what not to pay for. I would definitely use them again for any insulation or crawl space issues.

By far the best price, exact solution and most professional team - ,highly recommend. Did not try to "upsell" me on unnecessary and overpriced "fixes". DId the job as estimated, on time, excellent work, clean, quiet and fast. Will hire them again for any future homes/requirements. Even though I had 4 estimates already from both large and smaller firms I was not comfortable with the wide range of "solutions" being recommended and the wide variety of prices. After reading all the positive reviews on Angies List I emailed Dan Robertson on Thursday night and we met Friday morning. I had a very "sick" 1970's single family house- full of humidity and HVAC running too cold (summer time?). Dan took the time to evaluate the house and issues, gave me a quote, told me they could be here on Monday am. He explained the process and gave me a price- which was significantly lower than the others for the same work. Dan even referred me to an excellent and very reasonable electrician who came out on Sunday am to fix some wiring issues in the attic before they came. Dan's son Ryan and crew arrived promptly at 7:30 am and went to work. They covered everything and worked extremely quietly and professionally (I work from home), took photos and showed me all the duct leaks and soffit issues I had- and they fixed them! They were done exactly 3 hours later as they said (not 2-3 days other contractors wanted). Already, the house is dryer and more comfortable - not losing signifiant conditioned air into the attic space. Ryan also professionally shared some duct work photos with my HVAC guys- and they were over to make the fix as soon as Quality Insulation was finished. Dan also came by to check the work and share some meaningful insights into some other issues the house has. Quality Insulation and Quality advice and no baloney! I am impressed and happy to have made the decision to call and work with this team. I highly recommend them. Additionallly, the company's tiny mascot Max is pretty darn cute!
