Quality Insulation

On 8/31/16 I contacted Quality Insulation. Dan, the owner, immediately called me back. I explained my need for crawl space and attic insulation. He took the time to explain the options and was able to provide an estimate over the phone. He, once again, immediately followed up with a written estimate. When comparing his estimate details, value, quick response and knowledge to other companies I contacted, it was an obvious choice to go with Quality Insulation. The work was started & completed on 9/2/16. Because of my work schedule I left a key to my home. Throughout the day they call to provide work status. Upon my arrival after work I found my house as though no one was there. Everything was immaculate!!! Through email he provided pictures of all the work done. I would highly recommend Quality Insulation. They were professional and responsive. Definitely an A+ company.

Their crew just left and I wanted to write a very positive review straight away. I’m really happy we went with Dan and Ryan. They were both professional to deal with. They let me know what needed to be done, why it should be done and what it would cost. I compared prices and they are better than fair. The quality of work was excellent. The house was spotless when they left. I’ll highly recommend them to neighbors and friends.

Fantastic. Guys were professional and clean and did amazing work, especially under the sun porch, where I have been and found myself a little claustrophobic!

Dan was awesome- he came to take a look at our crawl space the day after we spoke. We were on a timeline because we were selling our house and the insulation and vapor barrier needed to be done because it was found on the home inspection. The day after he came out, the work was done! The invoice had labeled photos of the work which was precisely what was needed since our crawl space is difficult to inspect. We had previously tried to get a cheaper estimate from another company but they ended up not being able to do it because the job was beyond their expertise. I should've stuck with Rob in the first place because he quickly got the job done!

Mr. Roberson responded to my phone inquiry and provided a written estimate the same day after visually inspecting my attic. He fully explained the process. The work was scheduled for the next day. The work crew arrived promptly and were courteous. They were meticulous and professional, even to the point of making sure the hose from the truck was not on the public sidewalk but next to it. I received before and after photos. I was very pleased with the entire experience.

Everything seemed to go well. First, the owner of the company came out to my property on the same day I contacted him for an estimate. Second, the work was scheduled within a few days and the workers were very efficient and showed me what was done. I believe I received a good price based on another estimate I received. I would definitely recommend this company.

Very well. Dan talked me through it in a couple of phone calls - he never needed to come out for an estimate. The crew was very professional and very quick. They were done earlier than I expected and left everything clean. Ryan showed me before and after pictures so I didn't have to go up in the attic.

Outstanding. The crew did not nickel and dime me about having to remove the few pieces of plywood that were in the attic nor any other slight differences in the work estimated verses the work that was required. The stuck to the contract price and completed the work as promised. They cleaned all of the bat droppings and other debris from the attic perfectly. It was a clean as my living room before they blew in the new insulation. They were on time each day and they cleaned up all the residual dust that inadvertently was created by such extensive work perfectly.

Amazingly well! The finished job severely cuts down previous noise transmission! Dan called me back within minutes of my call, followed up with an email, and then responded to each of my questions within the hour. He was efficient from the start. His team arrived exactly when they said they would, and left my place looking cleaner than when they arrived. It is clear that all workers had been working for Dan for years, a fact which speaks volumes about the company. Each and every member of the company I met was respectful, hard- working, knowledgable, courteous and trustworthy. Great. Quality insulation was flexible about scheduling the estimate, scheduled us for work very quickly, completed the work promptly, and cleaned up after themselves. The insulation has already made a difference.

Dan was really great to work with from getting an estimate to booking the work. He was prompt with responses whether by email or phone as well as in person. My husband and I needed to add a lot more insulation in our attic, and I didn't know if what was there needed to be removed due to past animal activity. Dan felt strongly that all we needed was more and removing the current insulation wasn't necessary. His matter-of-fact approach saved us money in comparison to other bids. Plus, he was able to fulfill the work in a couple hours and provided pictures with our paperwork. I highly recommend Quality Insulation.

There is an unusual element of humanity presented by Dan (and his son) as it concerns the manner in which they conduct business. And this is rare. Perhaps unheard of. But, it is one that resonates so strongly that it must be infused into this brief review. No other foam company would respond to my call, either because it was too small a matter (not enough revenue could be generated by a single visit), or it was too complex--or a combination of the two. A critical air pocket between brick row homes permitted noxious fumes from the neighboring property to enter our home. The matter was complex and required creativity and skill to help resolve. Dan carved time out of his schedule to visit the property; investigate; and make an assessment as to a course of action. Thereafter, Dan's son (and team) expertly engaged in spot-insulation of the critical air pocket. The area was difficult to reach, and it took ingenuity and patience to execute. For these reasons, I am most grateful.

Outstanding! Dan and Ryan (father and son) were clear in their explanations and perfectly responsive to every question; crews were clean, quiet, and polite; timing was as predicted. Dan or Ryan is onsite for every job. After our job was finished, there was one small problem--probably a misunderstanding on our part, honestly--and Ryan came back with the crew a couple of days later to correct it by ADDING a component that we had not expected or paid for. At their own expense. As Dan said, "I want all my customers to be 100% satisfied. That's how I run this business." Well, count us 100% satisfied--and then some!

EXCELLENT! I am happy to report that I am pleased with this company and wished that they did so much more because I would use them for everything in my house. First of all, Dan was very warm and pleasant. He assessed my attic and explained what needed to be done. His price was at least 50% less than what was quoted to me a year ago AND he promised me pictures. Ryan showed up with their crew on the scheduled date on time. They were efficient and respectful of my home. They used drop cloths on the carpet and covered up furniture to keep them clean. Best of all, I have pictures to see what was done! The pictures are proof to me that they did what they explained that they would do and it was attached to my invoice. I highly recommend them to anyone.

From the estimate from Dan to the work done by Ryan and his team, I couldn't be happier! Very professional, on time and they did great work. after their inspection of the attic, Ryan saved me hundreds of dollars because I had the insulated recessed lights that did not need covers. Love the integrity and honesty! I will definitely recommend them to everyone!!!

The quote was free and took no time at all. Dan scheduled the work within a week of our quote and his team showed up on time and completed the job in 3 hours. Great service and highly recommended.

The quality insulation team arrived on time, worked efficiently, did a wonderful job installing blown insulation in our attic, and cleaned up thoroughly. They weren't the low bidder on the job, but we couldn't be happier with the job they did, and consider their work an excellent value.

It could not have gone any smoother! I talked to Mr. Roberson on a Saturday and explained to him that I needed insulation in the attic of my almost 40 year old townhouse. Although the business is located in Silver Spring, MD, Mr. Roberson said that they do service DC, and Northern VA (Woodbridge) where I live. He asked me the approximate square footage of my attic and gave me a rough estimate of how much it would cost. I told him I would think about it and get back to him within a few days. I called back on Monday and said I would like his company to do the work for me. The work was scheduled for Wednesday morning at 11:00. At 10:00, I received a call while I was away from home saying that they were running ahead of schedule. I was only a few minutes away from my home so it worked out perfectly! When I got home about 15 minutes later, all of their supplies were set up in a tent so they wouldn't get wet and they were ready to go. Before starting the work, Mr. Roberson's son explained to me exactly what they would be doing and measured the square footage of my attic for the final cost of the job. Since it was 575 square feet rather than the 600 that I estimated, the actual cost to me was about $100 less than Mr. Roberson's estimated over the phone. Mr. Roberson's son and his two assistants then got to work. They covered all the flooring from the front door up to where the attic entrance is. They were fast and efficient and within two hours, they were done and cleaned up everything. They took before and after pictures for me and sent them to me with the bill via email. The guys arrived on time, a few minutes early actually, and got right to work. They were clean and quiet and worked seemingly very quickly (less than 1.5 hours) considering the tight spaces of my attic. When complete they had me to view the work before sealing up the spaces. I'm not an expert but everything looked good to me. My only regret was not directing them to another space that could use insulation but that is my fault no theirs. That aside, I began to notice a difference within a few hours. With it being a bit chilly, ~55 outside, the whole house warmed up to about 68 with the heat set at 65 and not actively running. Before the insulation the second floor usually sat around 2-4 degrees lower than downstairs on a cold day and the heat would be on constantly to maintain 65 on the first floor. Needless to say, I am very happy and am looking forward to this summer to really put this stuff to the test.

Efficient, professional, and very competent. Dan Roberson, the owner of Quality Insulation was on site the entire time (about 3 hours) his three (long-term) employees were working. They consulted with him as needed and he provided whatever supervision was required. Additionally, and very generously, Dan made recommendations re lighting unconnected to the insulation, that will prove cost effective for us in the long term.

Very smooth. We knew we were in good hands as soon as we met Dan. Very knowledgeable, and easy to work with. We moved into a 1978 house towards the end of summer, and the AC ran constantly but couldn't keep up. Same deal when winter came with the heat running non-stop. Turns out we only had around 3" of insulation. Dan's team air-sealed the attic, and blew in a ton of insulation. It's made an unbelievable difference, and because they sealed around all of the HVAC vents and exhaust fans, they all work way better too. Highly recommend!

I contacted Quality Insulation on March 10, 2016 and spoke with Mr. Dan Roberson. We scheduled the estimate appointment for Saturday, March 12 at 11:00 a.m. Dan arrived on time, thoroughly inspected the attic, and gave us the estimate. He was very professional and had a great sense of humor. My husband and I decided to contract with Quality Insulation and scheduled the job to be performed at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 17. On that morning, the staff arrived ON TIME, which was very much appreciated! The guys were very courteous and professional, and made sure our floors were protected from any dust and debris from the attic (which was very minimal!). After the job was completed the staff did an excellent clean-up of the work area, even wiping down the attic and hallway floors!! We truly appreciated the GREAT JOB Quality Insulation did with our attic ceiling, and would not hesitate to refer them to family and friends. Thanks, Dan!! We know this was a nasty job!

Dan was incredibly knowledgeable and responsive to our request for an evaluation of our home, in which fumes were leaking from a neighboring property and entering our home. Dan investigated the matter by reviewing our side of the subject wall in question (the neighbor has not yet been cooperative in the review of his side of the wall, despite the opinion of a professional licensed engineer advising that the review of both sides of the wall is absolutely necessary and the standard of conduct concerning this matter). Dan engaged in this review by examining our side of the wall from both above and beneath. Dan providing helpful commentary concerning the nature of the matter at hand and the steps required to most efficiently and effectively pursue resolution. We would strongly recommend Dan, who was patient; kind; sensitive to the issue at hand; and demonstrated a strong understanding of the matter through his very thorough observations and commentary.
