Excellent. We requested an estimate - Dan was flexible about coming out and easy to work with. He followed up and scheduled immediately. I had to change our scheduled date after our hardwood floors were not dry by the expected date - he was very nice about it and got us in as soon as possible. I would definitely recommend this company and would use them again.

The job looks excellent and I can feel a difference since they blew in the insulation. The attic does not have a lot of room to maneuver and they were able to get insulate everything with no problems. My bedroom was the area that they had to access the attic. Everything was covered in plastic and canvas drop cloths and there was no mess in the work area. These guys are quick, efficient and very clean. I am extremely satisfied and would highly recommend them.

Description of Work: The crew arrived and immediately started to work. Drop clothes were used to protect the areas where they walked to get access to the attic. This is a team of experts. Dan, his son and the team are terrific to work with. We had 19 inches insulation blown in our attic. We can tell the difference.

The service went very well. Dan and his crew arrived and promptly began setting up their hoses, cables and other equipment. They laid dropcloths everywhere and were very careful not to leave any mess. One worker climbed in the attic and the other loaded the blower/shreader machine in the truck. 3 hours later they were done. It's not that complicated. We effectively raised the R-level in our 40 year old house from 0 to R49. We were pleased because we could feel an immediate difference in the comfort level of the house as soon as they were finished...in fact I was able to lower the thermostat a few degrees right away.

I left a message for Dan and he called me back within a day. He was able to come over and give me an estimate within 2 days, and his pricing was very fair, reasonable, and less than 2 other estimates I'd received. Dan, his son Ryan (co-business owner) and their crew showed upright on time, placed dropcloths to make sure there was no mess, quickly removed all the items in the attic (there were a lot of them), and installed blown-in insulation in 2/3 of the attic. They also installed a reflective insulating shield (sort of like thin metallic bubble wrap) to help keep heat from escaping thru the attic. They also made a cover for the attic opening to further prevent heat loss. It looks like a new attic, and we felt the temperature difference right away. They were very diligent and detail-oriented in cleaning up and putting our belongings back up in the attic. I would definitely hire them again - they were prompt, professional, careful and the finished product was excellent and did not exceed the estimate.
Description of Work: Installation of new blown-in insulation for large attic, plus removal of some old insulation due to raccoon in attic. Included taking all stored items out of the attic before the work was done, then putting them back when the job was finished.

Overall, the project was completed in a very timely, smooth professional fashion. Dan and his crew deserve all the kudo's and recommendations that you have read here on Angie's List. The last thing I wanted to do was hire more stress that can easily happen when hiring a contractor. That was not a problem here. Dan came to the house Sunday afternoon to inspect the attic, discuss the alternatives and give us an estimate. He also was able to schedule the project at a time that was convenient for us.The price he quoted was the price we paid irregardless that he needed to use much more insulation than previously thought. There virtually was NO insulation above the garage and the bathroom above it. (One Sorry builder - Pu**e) They completed the project in a little over 6 hours. More than he originally thought because of the time spent on the garage insulation. Here again, no extra charge. I am very satisfied. One thing I will mention is "Why didn't I do this earlier?" With the cost of gas and electricity rising, adequate insulation will pay for itself. As I move about the house, I can feel a consistent temperature rather than cold and warm spots.
Description of Work: Dan and his crew increased the R-value in the attic from an R-19 (Code at the time the home was built) to an R-49 using John Manvilles Climate Pro insulation. Also, blew in insulation in the space above the garage under one of the upstairs bathrooms.

I found Dan & his son (partner) by chance, from a recommendation of another insulation co. Ryan (son), with techs. showed up on time, covered everything, and suited up to work in my attic. They were here approx. 2 hrs. When completed they cleaned up after themselves, had me observe the finished work, and took a picture for me of the finished product. I am very happy with the professionalism, manners, and work of this company, and would highly recommend them anytime.
Description of Work: I've had very high heating and air conditioning bills. I had several estimates for insulation installation in the past year. I finally had to have it put in this month with the weather changing so much. I was told by several insulation co's. that I didn't have enough insulation and that I should have it blown in my attic to take care of this problem. I would recommend that anyone have several estimates done, and check several reviews on the companies you are planning on using for the insulation. You can use companies that have had one or two complaints, not everybody gives good reviews 100% 365 days a year, if they are in the A or B ratings. I found Quality Insulation in the top A's.

Dan and his son lead a very professional team of installers. They have a single team that does the work, so you're going to get exactly the same group of people doing yours as did ours. They were extremely responsive, extremely friendly, and left everything but the attic exactly as they found it. Dan's retiring soon and handing the business over to his son, so his son oversaw the majority of the operation. The lead insulation installer has apparently been with the company for a long time (I believe they said 8 years), which seems unheard of in this sort of industry. The fact that they've kept a cohesive team together for that long says a lot of good about the company. They ran the hose from their truck in the driveway through a bedroom window and up in to the attic. They took care to seal up the openings for the hose as well as the opening in to the attic to keep the place clean and prevent heat loss. As they exited they took great care to clean up after themselves (even outside on our driveway), and to make sure I was entirely happy with the work. I absolutely would recommend the company to anyone else looking to get blown in insulation. Their offerings are limited (by choice - they picked the insulation they wanted for their own homes and that's what they offer to their customers), and they only have one crew, but the experience is great. They also fit us in to their schedule a week after we initially called. This is compared to other companies that would only be able to get us scheduled for December (we called at the very end of October, and were installed on the 7th).

They arrived right on time. They put down drop clothes on all areas where they were walking. They also sealed off the attic entrance so the insulation would not come into the house. Dan showed me all the measurements he was taking to find the square footage of the attic. They cleaned up everything including the fiberglass that was in the driveway. Very professional. I highly recommend them! He also went the extra mile and had his crew recaulk around a pipe on the roof which was not in the scope of work!

Dan and his crew arrived prompt and were quick to get to work. They put down drop clothes, were very neat in their work and cleaned up as if they were not even there. Once completed they asked me to inspect the work in the attic and I popped my head up to check it out. (would have taken a picture but didn't think about it at the time). I was amazed that it was not extremely dusty! There was not even 1 piece of insulation on the floor in the house anywhere: ) Also, their machine is fast and soooo quiet, I didn't even know it was running which is why I was surprised when they said they were finished. For my townhouse it took 1.5 hours to do the job. I am a local Montgomery County, MD realtor on a top producing team ranked in the top 100 teams in the nation for sales volume in 2010 by the Wall Street Journal and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND using Quality Insulation for your next insulation job.
Description of Work: Had insulation blown into attic and entrance "tented" to better insulate the attic entrance. Dan advised on types of insulation, what type is best for various uses and discussed dos and don'ts of adding insulation to exterior walls.

Dan Roberson came on Monday and gave us an estimate. There was an opening Wednesday morning which we took. He and his crew arrived promptly. They were neat, clean, and very professional. The crew installed attic insulation blown in the whole attic to bring it to an R-49 rating using Climate Pro. They installed high R reflective insulation on the interior and outer walls and the knee walls and added blown insulation to R-49 behind the dormer windows. The temperature change is amazing and the work looks finished and air-tight. They left the house as neat as they found it. Dan also pointed us toward the federal and state rebates which we were eligible for as well as sending us the links and providing us with the necessary forms and information.

I found Quality Insulation through Angie's list - sent an email asking about insulation for our attic and heard back from Dan right away. Ryan came out to look at our attic, gave us an estimate and came out to do the work within a week. They were great - very responsive and professional. We didn't get any other estimates, but I had thought it was going to cost a lot more than $1000 to install insulation in our attic (which had virtually none), so it seemed like a very fair and reasonable price.

I first contacted Dan by email. The email I sent included pictures of my attic, attic information, and a list of possible services desired. He soon responded by phone and answered questions about services and costs. It would of been nice to receive an official written proposal or contract before the work began to protect both parties from any possible misunderstandings. However, the price quoted over the phone to me was the price I paid so no issues arose. The crew was very polite and professional. My floors were covered and the opening to the attic was taped off. Afterwards, I was shown pictures of their finished work and given paperwork to claim my federal tax credit. As a bonus, they insulated a small offshoot area above my sunroom at no additional cost.

I was beyond satisfied with my experience with Quality Insulation. I called them out because my attic air conditioner was "sweating" (condensation) so much that it was leaking water into our master bedroom. When I had my HVAC company out to look at it, they told me it was because I needed more insulation in my attic ~ that that would keep the unit from producing so much condensation. Dan came out and looked at my situation. Turns out there were some parts of my attic that had NO insulation at all. He advised me that he could fix my problem by insulating the area directly over and around my HVAC unit. I asked him to also give me a price to insulate the entire attic so that I was, indeed, properly insulated up there. I opted to do the whole attic ~ especially when he told me of the fact that there was absolutely no insulation in parts of my attic space. (That probably explained why my upper level was just so hot in the summer, always requiring a fan to run while I worked up there.) He also showed me his contractor's license and proof that he was bonded. On the day my job was was scheduled, they arrived exactly at the time promised ~ 7:30 a.m., which I completely appreciated. They worked efficiently and were very good about covering things up so nothing was getting blown except into the attic. Dan and his son, Ray, who came by later were very pleasant and explained everything so that I could understand it and had me look up into the attic to see the completed job. I appreciated that their employees, who were Latino, could speak and understand English and I was able to ask them questions about what was happening. They, too, were very pleasant, polite and conscientious. I can definitely feel the difference in my upper level!! So far, no leaking HVAC unit. I would highly recommend Dan and Ray for any insulation job you might have. An all-around good experience.

It went well. The crew showed up on time and immediately got to work. Don and his son explained what they were doing and made additional recommendations on how I could save on energy costs. We did not do an estimate before hand so the material expenses were a little more than I thought they would be, but considering the amount of work that needed to be done, the cost seemed reasonable. Don was nice enough to agree to me leaving the house to go to work while they finished job. The crew left the key in a hidden location, and everything was in perfect order when I returned.
