Quality Insulation

Dan provided a quality review of our home and suggested a reasonable course of action, as our cape cod style home attracted a lot of heat in the summer. The crew showed up on time and cut only three holes in the ceiling/walls and managed to blow insulation and install thermal shields throughout out house. Very impressed with Dan's laid back attitude and the professionalism of the crew.

Work was performed as quoted. Attic was returned to fully usable condition, with wall patches done very nicely.

Hard to really tell as there is no way to access the area to check. Provider did take a picture for me, but there is really no way to measure the depth and consistency of the application. Professionalism grade = C because provider brought his dog with him and let it run freely around my house.

It's nice when things go better than expected. The salesperson had told us that it might be necessary to cut several holes in our ceiling in order to properly blow the insulation needed into all portions of our attic/crawl space. In fact, the service team handling this job was able to do it without any damage to ceilings. They were in and out of the house in less than three hours and the resulting warmer rooms were evident immediately.

I went with Dan Roberson based on his reputation on Angie's List and his prompt and professional estimate for what I considered to be a fair price for the job. Note: I tried to get an estimate from a competitor, but was turned off by the slick sales tone on our phone call, and the fact that they were not able to do an estimate for 3-4 weeks. The time between my initial call to Quality Insulation and the work being completed (including estimate) was approximately 2 1/2 weeks. The service was prompt on all counts - Dan showed up to do the estimate on time - and his crew showed up to do the work on time. The crew was neat, efficient, and courteous. They quickly figured out the best way to set up the hose going from their vehicle in the driveway, through the living room window (they sealed the opening the hose created) and into the attic. After the work was done, I was asked to inspect it, and shown that a gap had been left in front to allow airflow for the soffits, as discussed. They cleaned up and left everything as it was. While they were still in the driveway I found a circuit had tripped for my bathroom lights. They immediately came in, found the tripped breaker in the basement and reset it. My attic insulation was pretty meager, probably 6 inches at most - I now have 19 inches. It makes a tremendous difference in how cozy the house feels. The AC isn't running all the time now and the temperature holds MUCH better. I couldn't have asked for a more professional or pleasant experience. If you need to upgrade your insulation, I highly recommend them.

My experience with Dan was excellent. His evaluation of my insulation needs was appropriate and comprehensive. The actual work was clean and efficient. Wouldn?t hesitate to recommend his services to anyone.

Dan came by and told us what we needed to do and that we could do it ourselves if we wanted to (we didn't). He gave us a very reasonable quote for the work that needed to be done and since we were getting our roof re-done, he said to wait until after that job was complete. Once complete, him and his crew showed up on time and got it all done in an hour or so with no mess at all. I inspected the job and off they were. Would definitely recommend.

They were awesome. I really liked them a lot. When I first moved in I didn’t have Angie’s List so I went on Google looking around and found them. They were great. They came down and gave an estimate. They really worked around my time. They are very prompt and courteous. Their employees came out two weeks after I moved in and both of them were really nice guys. I have a dog and that guy was comfortable with dogs and was playing with my dog. I have recommended them to my mother as well. They came in and cleaned up after themselves which was really nice. As far as insulation goes I enjoyed the experience with them. I have a 2,300 sq ft house. They were more than comparable with regards to price and gave me a Angie’s List gift hamper too.

The owner, Dan, visited the house and provided an estimate on the spot. His pricing is particularly straightforward. We were put on the calendar for the job and his team showed up promptly at 7 am as promised. The team was supervised by his assistant Mike, and Dan visited during the day. The three workers were particularly pleasant and professional and addressed my questions and concerns directly. Work was completed before the heat of the afternoon, and the team did a fantastic job of cleaning up. The house seems much more comfortable with the added insulation.

Owner, Dan Roberson, was very responsive from the beginning to the end of the process. He came out for a free estimate and quickly arranged for his crew to come out to perform the actual work. The crew, including foreman, Mike, were very friendly and punctual. I felt comfortable enough to leave them in my home unattended for the whole day's worth of work. Mike provided me with photo updates throughout the day and the work looks to be done professionally. Dan followed up with a nice email thanking me for the business. I would definitely recommend Quality Insulation to others!

Dan responded to our inquiry quickly and came out to give an estimate within a few days. He was punctual and friendly. His team arrived the morning of the job on time at 7am and were friendly and professional. They were in and out in a few hours, left no mess, and emailed us photos of their progress (before, during, and after), so we could see what was done without having to crawl around in the attic. We were very happy with this service and would definitely recommend Quality Insulation to others!

Based on Angie's List reviews I was very optimistic about this contractor. I reached out to him via email and provided my phone number in the email, though all communication was in email and I never received a call. I heard back promptly asking for my availability. My husband and I both work so meeting in the middle of the day is difficult. I detailed our availability and Dan responded asking for a time that was not in my availability. I told him that did not work. He responded asking about an "early afternoon" time. I conferred with my husband and responded with an actual time window that worked for the day he mentioned. I then got a response "sorry but I will be doing estimates this weekend." We were discussing a week day appointment. I'm not sure what the weekend has to do with it. I initially requested a weekend appointment and he ignored the request. The miscommunication is so frustrating at this point that I won't use this contractor. After writing this initial review, Dan contacted me offering to come by the house that day for a quote - a Saturday. It was last minute and didn't work for us and we have since moved on but I don't fault Dan. He did his best to get to our house promptly.

They were very quick and efficient with whatever they needed to do and they provided with the information that we needed. They were honest and they seemed to do a good job.

For some time our house has suffered significant temperature variance. The living room could be warm and stuffy, while the bedrooms at the other end of the house (on the same level) were cooler. The attic space contains a guest bedroom and a playroom/workroom for our children, and it has been a struggle to cool it in the summer and heat it in the winter, even though it is a separate HVAC zone. Dan took all of five minutes to look at our insulation situation and confirmed what I had suspected: what insulation we had was useless. It was half of what it should have been, and what was there was deteriorating. The eaves sides of the attic room walls were also not insulated at all. Installation was scheduled for the following week. The crew showed up precisely on time and got straight to work. They affixed insulation to the eaves sides of the attic walls and ceiling, sprayed insulation all throughout the eaves, and sealed any air gaps or holes they found that needed to be filled. Over 1,200 pounds of insulation were applied when all was said and done. The crew was one of the nicest, most professional I've seen in any trade. They left absolutely nothing behind -- no material, no garbage, nothing. Within a couple of hours we began to notice a difference throughout the house. The attic rooms were no longer stifling hot; rather, they were quite close to the temperature of the rest of the house. The rest of the house was also more or less one uniform temperature, within a degree or two. In the past we had set the attic heat pump to 65 in the winter and 85 in the summer so as to keep the electric bill within check, adjusting it to more reasonable temperatures only when the rooms were in use. Even then the one year-old heat pump struggled to cool and warm the space. Now, the temperature is set to 78 for the summer, and the unit runs only occasionally. The attic fan also runs for a substantially less time than before. The house definitely cools down faster than it had before, and I'm sure it'll be much more comfortable in the winter. This was not the first time that we'd applied insulation. This time, though, it was clearly done correctly.

Dan was very responsive to my initial inquiry, came to give an estimate within a few days. Had work done within a few days after that. All guys were very professional, came on time, got right down to work and completed quickly. Respected my house etc.

When I emailed via Angies List he responded right away and said he can come by. I followed up asking the time and day and he responded by giving me sq./ft prices and ignored my previous question as to time and day. I asked if i should assume he's not coming by for the measurements etc and he never responded.

Crew showed up on time and was very nice to move things in the garage a bit, although our garage was pretty clean to begin with. Works was done efficiently and quickly. We didn't see them use cameras or poke extra holes to verify that every corner was filled, but our garage ceiling is relatively uncomplicated with no obstructions or barriers so maybe that wasn't necessary. Or, they used the cameras very quickly and we weren't around when it happened. But they never showed us pictures or anything. In the end, they used a LOT of insulation and the room is definitely better insulated now (there's no "hollow" sound when we walk around upstairs and the sound of the garage door motor is more muted, we can tell the temperature is more stable and warmer in the winter, we'll have to wait to see what summer brings--will update review at that time). Dan was totally fine to work with, honest guy and delivers what he promised.

Dan Roberson gave me an estimate the day after I called and recommended insulation for the roof and second-floor ceiling. He seemed honest and down-to-earth, unlike other insulation contractors I'd called who just seemed interested in selling me an expensive whole-house job. |His crew came to do the work about a week later. The crew was neat and showed my husband and I their work, both while it was being done and through photos they snapped of things that were harder to see. The job was supposed to take half to a full day. They arrived at 7 a.m. and left at 10, so it took less than that. They cleaned up after finishing their work, and the only noticeable signs they were there are the spots they cut in the drywall to access the wall space, which we will patch soon. Since they've been here, the impact on our home environment has been incredible. Our heater has worked harder because it's been so much colder, but our entire home -- especially the second floor -- is retaining heat much better. I am looking forward to feeling the difference that the insulation makes this summer, when the second floor of our house is often at least 10 degrees hotter than our main floor.

We placed a call to quality insulation and one other company based on the reviews. Mr. Roberson contracted me on a Saturday and was able to visit my home on a Sunday for an estimate. We were pleased with the price and the fact that Mr. Roberson did not seem to want to sell us any additional jobs, which would not be needed. The estimate was in line with the other estimate we received and Quality had an opening in near future. Mike and his team showed up on time, reviewed what had been discussed at the estimate and performed the work outlined as well as providing a solution to the draft we were feeling in our kitchen. They cleaned up and our home is feeling warmer already.

Great experience. We are in a severe cold spell and the team was able to do the job within 4 days of the contract being let. Very professional job done under the watchful eye of the owner, Dan Roberson. In fact, Dan came out and bid the job on his birthday!!! Well done, Quality Insulation.

I chose Quality Insulation because of their excellent reviews in Angies List. They showed up on time and gave me a fair estimate. The frozen pipes had been repaired by a plumber but they were now exposed to the elements without insulation. The pipes would freeze again within 48 hours unless proper insulation and ceiling repair was completed. Dan Roberson, the owner of the company, was the one who came over and gave me the estimate. Recognizing my problem, he brought a crew over to complete my work on the same day that he made the estimate. They did an excellent job in a timely manner. Based on the above, I would give my highest recommendation to Dan and his crew at Quality Insulation.

He provided me good information on the differences between the fiberglass and cellulose insulation and why he uses the fiberglass over the cellulose. I would need to remove the vinyl siding myself or have another company remove it before Quality would do the insulation work. I prefer to hire a company that can remove the siding and do the insulation. Otherwise, I would have considered using Quality.

Everything went very well. They showed up on time and everything went very well. Cleaned up all the mess. Dan explained everything before it happened. Highly recommend.
