Upon first contact with this provider I let it be known I needed this work done ASAP. Instead of scheduling a day to come out i was sent an email with a sheet to fill out with what work I wanted done. I promptly returned that email and the. Waited for a day for them to contact me to set up a date to move the project(s) forward. I then contacted them back and got their answering service and left a message. The next day they called and I missed their call and called back and got their answering service again. I waited another day and they called be the following day. When they called I advised them I wanted to move the ball forward and get this started ASAP since a whole week has past since I have been trying to get service from you. Their rep told me that they only do estimates once a week on Monday (it was now Thursday) and they were full for next week. This means it would take them three weeks from first contact to come out and do an estimate. Understandable during a busy season, but don't play around with a customer for almost a week before getting down to the nuts and bolts of ) 1) Finding out what beers to be done. 2) Scheduling a date to do the estimate. 3) Discussing what will be done and when and getting a contract signed and a deposit. 4) Starting and finishing the job! 5) Discussing any concerns and shake hands.

Jim arrived as promised. His work was exactly what we needed. Quality of work was wonderful.

They come on time and it is a reasonable price. I like the way they do it. They tell you upfront how much it is going to cost for the first hour and then, if it takes additional time, it would be additional money. If they say they are going to come at 9 o’clock, they come there within that time maybe 15 minutes before or no more than 15 minutes later. It is not like they do not give you a call and say that they have other business and that they would not be there until the afternoon or something like that. I like the fact that if they say they are going to be there at a certain time, in my finding, they do in fact come there at that time. They are very reliable time- wise. They do a nice job. They finish it up. They are proud of their work. They do as much as I expect. The quality of their work is consistent. I would use them again depending on the work that was needed.

I received almost immediate follow up from Jennifer Blomquist once i purchased the coupon. She worked with me to schedule a day and time convenient for me. The technician showed up on time. We reviewed the work that needed to be done. He did have to go the store to pick up some items and returned to immediately get the projects checked off the list. Only one item from the initial list could not be completed. That was because we had to do an emergency repair on an outside door. The door was not closing properly and with the added wind on Saturday, the door required some attention This, unfortunately, required some additional store time to search for materials. Alas, materials were finally found and door fixed. The door is in better condition than before the tech arrived. The tech was Ken Eyerly. Very professional and polite. He represents Mr. Handyman very well.

Mr. Mitchell was prompt, technically proficient, and knowledgeable. He provided exceptional customer service.

Six was before time, polite, and showed a great deal of knowledge and expertise. Price was reasonable and fair.

Much to expensive for the minor repair needed. Only had to mud three sides since the 4th was the floor. I had even spoken to the manager prior to purchasing the 4 hours because I wasn't sure it would take all 4 hours. He assured me I would receive my money back if there was additional money left over and that upon explaining the job it would take two trips so the mud could dry and 2 hours per trip seemed easily doable. I was very disappointed that we work too more than 4 hours total. Again, no painting was included.

Barry showed up on time. He was friendly and professional. He explained their pricing, which was also explained when I made the appointment. He finished the work in less time than was estimated. The work was high quality. I also liked the fact that they are available on Saturdays.

I had used Mr. Handyman a couple weeks before to replace some exterior wood rot on the house that had been pointed out to me when I bought my place a couple years ago. I had more wood rot and a basement window to replace this time. During my first service, the tech measured and said it shouldn't be a problem getting the window replaced as Home Depot carries something in that size. So I bought a 4 hour Mr. Handyman Angie's list coupon and scheduled service. Two days I had techs come out only to measure and only to find out they have to special order it. That's two days I had to stay home from work for no work done. I wasn't very happy about that. The window was ordered. The price was fine, and I'd have to wait 4-6 weeks, and I was okay with that. I knew it'd be a good window and there's not a whole lot of places out there that will do a small job like this that you can trust, and I trusted, and still trust Mr. Handyman to do good work. They didn't let me down. The window comes 5 weeks or so later and is installed. It looks beautiful. They did a great job. The tech was losing daylight so the wood rot repair job on the side of the house had to be completed the following day. There was about 1.5 hours of labor left for window rot repair, and 2 hours left on my coupon. I told the tech that I can't take off work that day, but they could start before I'm home, as early as 2:30 or 3:00 and I'd be home shortly after 4:00. This was important because I had some exterior paint in the house as the temps outside weren't good for storing paint at the time, and I made sure the tech knew that so I wouldn't be billed for extra materials. On my way home from work that day, I call Mr. Handyman, worried that they couldn't come out because I hadn't received a call all day, and I was told the tech had already completed the job. That meant the tech had put on my invoice the cost of paint, plus the time spent to go purchase the paint. This was around the Thanksgiving holiday and Taylor at their Millersville office assured me she would take care of my concerns. And she did. The following Monday, Taylor adjusted the bill and waived the costs associated with the paint. Excellent customer service there. Though I would have had 30 minutes more of handyman service had the tech come while I was home (that I would have just asked for a couple pictures to be hung on the wall), I was happy with the way Taylor adjusted the bill. So the punctuality is only a B because they actually came too early! Despite all of this -- I would use Mr. Handyman again. The quality of work was great. The customer service was attentive and commendable. The price may be a little more than I had anticipated, but I certainly trust their work.

Job was done well and on time. The work done replacing exterior window framing rot was done really well -- can't even tell pieces have been replaced!

The work performed by the assigned technician was well done. I can not opine as to the quality of work that may be performed by other tech's. Labor is $100 per hour. He worked hard, was efficient and pleasant to have in the house and on the job. I had no problem for the costs, with this tech of the services. I suggest that if you are using this vendor for more than a simple task, e.g., hanging a door, repairing a leaking faucet which they will give you a phone quote for, that you obtain an on-site estimate of the cost of the work be be performed.

Jimmy was very punctual, courteous, and professional. He was also willing to listen to our suggestions and preferences when it came to which materials to use. For instance, in relocating our wall speakers, we purchased a sheet of drywall to make the repair. However, when my husband suggested that we use the cut-outs from the previous location he could have been stubborn and said, "oh no, you have to use new drywall." Instead, his response was, "that is an excellent idea, and I can do that with no problem." He was efficient and showed great skill and proficiency with the use of the various tools he needed for our job order. Only time will tell if his workmanship will hold up, but I am confident that it will. We will be calling upon Mr. Handyman in the very near future to do a few additional repairs that have popped up on our to-do list.

The company provided another tech to come out and remedy the original job. The tech was very pleasant and professional and repaired all in a timely manner. I was very satisfied with his work. Thank you.

Stephan was the service tech. He was great! He fixed my kitchen faucet. I actually had bought a new faucet but he repaired my existing faucet which saved me $ 200 because I could return the replacement faucet. He repaired an exterior hand railing. He also replaced a front door lock & deadbolt. He also fixed rattling pipes in a bathroom. He was very polite and worked quickly. I thought it would have taken about 4 hours but it only took 1 1/2 hours. So he saved me a good deal of money! I would definitely use them again.

Stephen Lescallett, service technician, for Mr. Handyman actually arrived earlier than scheduled because he had completed his previous job earlier than expected. I needed to have the back of my lazy Susan in my kitchen repaired. A previous plumbing repair necessitated opening the back of it to access the main drain pipe from the kitchen sink (old house) He began by inquiring about my expectations, and then offering options. His unique solution for the problem (major air leak) was to insulate the open space and then place aluminum flashing (bendable) over that to seal the hole. He accompanied me to my local Lowe's to purchase all supplies needed to complete the job. When we returned he resumed working and was done shortly thereafter. He even took the time to try to re-adjust the lazy Susan to give it the best possible fit. Because of the flashing it is a little noisy now, but I don't really care about that at all. The end result was achieved, which was closure of the constant air leak, and he cleaned up the work area very nicely. As an added bonus, he is just a nice guy and we had really good conversations about many different topics during the time that he was here working. We definitely plan on requesting his services for any handyman work needed in the future. Kudos to you, Stephen!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mr. Handyman was THIRD company I hired from Angie's List to take care of the chores I needed done around the house. I should have started with them and saved myself a lot of time and trouble. From the very beginning, Taylor Leigh in the office was responsive to my needs, thorough in determining exactly what I needed/wanted and provided an accurate estimate for the job. She assured me Mr. Handyman was up to the task list I gave her. Just one person ? Dennis ? took care of my entire to-do list with perfection. He was there when he said he would be, was professional, courteous and incredibly thorough. The shed alone took Dennis an entire day. It really was in sore need of attention and Dennis has excellent carpentry skills. My old shed hasn't looked so good in more than a decade. Midway through the list the president, Kevin Crysler, stepped in to help me figure out the handrail situation. He and Dennis provided options for materials, and when I stood firm on wrought iron Kevin had to wrangle cats to get them made. It took awhile, but the end result was worth the wait. Dennis returned to complete installation, and my new handrails are lovely. I had a hitch a month later when a screw came out of one of them, making the handrail wobbly and generally unstable. One email to Kevin, though, and Dennis was back out that afternoon and fixed it very quickly. No problem. Mr. Handyman is not an inexpensive option, but if you want a job done well, and wanted to be treated well, they certainly will do it for you. I won?t hesitate to call them again!

My rep from My Handyman of Anne Arundel County (Millersville, MD) was punctual (I was given an 8am - noon timeframe, he got here at 8am)! , and immediately got to work. He was very personable and extremely professional, fast and made sure that his work was sound (no shaky/leaky faucet, toilet was secure, rods were even/level,, correctly measured for the length of my drapes)...with no dilly-dallying (as my mom would say). We just had a cleaning crew come through the previous day, and our rep was very cognizant to leave his work space exactly as he found it.. CLEAN!!! I am, once again, very satisfied with the work Mr. Handyman, and am looking for other jobs around the house to have them complete!

When I reflect back, I am not certain what I service I received for the money I spent. He did not get to the toilet, he did not replace the doors, he did not install a medicine cabinet. He did not replace all of the light bulbs. He did mount the bath fixtures replaced the range hood and he re caulked one bath room. The recommendation was to for us to purchase another full day to finish what we were believed to be a full day's work.

From the beginning to the end, everyone was professional and easy. Since tenants live in the home that needed patching, there was a lot of coordination that needed to happen. Fortunately, when Mr. Handyman of Anne Arundel actually LISTENED and responded in accordance with the parameters given (Days of week, times, communicate via email). One, I commend them for actually READING my request and for responding to it specifically. Two, the prices are reasonable and more especially since it was a small job. We had two small holes in the ceiling which needed to be patched up and painted over to match the texture of the ceiling. Three, they didn't try to swindle me! The technician did a good job match everything, did the work efficiently and did not try to get more money out of the job like others have done. I give this company 5 stars, even if I was not able to meet face to face with the technician. Four, they were courteous even though it was a small job. So many times, companies tend toward a obnoxious way of dealing with customers, especially if the job is small. This company was not. All in all, thanks for your service! Such a simple thing, and yet working with you motivated me enough to write a review.

The service was great. The Tech, Stephan, did everything on my list. I had not purchased the materials ahead of time because I did not know what to buy, so I followed Stephan in my car when he went to purchase the materials at a hardware store. I decided to replace my 18-year old shutters instead of having them repaired and repainted. Stephan explained the difference between the different varieties so that I could make an informed choice. Two of my screens were usable but the aluminum on the third was split so I needed to purchase a new one. I also needed to purchase two additional screens of the same size as my late husband had somehow misplaced them. The hardware store did not have the size I needed, so Stephan helped me special order the three screens. When he installed the usable screens, he explained how to do it so when the new screens come in I would be able to do it by myself. He painted the front door frame just as I wanted and he completed the dry wall repairs and hung the towel rack. For the first time I will be able to hang a towel on it without it falling down. I will definitely use Mr. Handyman for all my future tasks around the house, and if possible I will request Stephan. Great job!!
