Last night I realized that my AC had stopped working. I called MBS early in the morning and the receptionist told me they had been extremely busy over the long weekend and had already gotten a lot of calls today. She said they could definitely come tomorrow but would try to get here late today. I was pleasantly surprised when Matt called to say they'd be here in the mid afternoon. Matt was pleasant, knowledgeable, and efficient. And he has a nice sense of humor too. He diagnosed the problem before he'd even opened the unit. He was able to replace a capacitor and another piece with parts he had in his truck. I used MBS for the first time in 2007 to get a second opinion on a problem I was having with my furnace. One company told me I had to replace the furnace. Matt told me it was fine. Six years later it's still working. I would use MBS again in a heart beat.

I have them under a service contract that I inherited it when I bought my house. They were very nice. They followed up. They cleaned up themselves. I had no problems with them at all.

We were told our condenser was shot from company #1. They requested a check for $100 service fee and promptly left saying the company would call us about how much it would be to fix it. The part was still under warranty but they wanted $1500 to fix it. They wanted over $5000 for replacement. So, we called 4 other companies. MBS Mechanical was booked up on Monday (if they could have fit us in, I think they would have) so they offered us Tuesday to come look at the system and make an assessment. They had no initial service fee to fix it or provide an estimate. Ramesh came in and asked me to take him to the inside unit clearing seeing that our coil had not been replaced when the system was and said it was probably fine but at some point we would want to upgrade it. He then went to look outside and when he came back in he announced to me that my unit was fixed. In shock, with much excitement, I went to turn it on and it cooled immediately. He asked a few more questions to know about other service that needed to be done and determined at one repair that they added too much freon. (we also believe that the last person to fix it as we have had past issues, did not do it properly from what he showed me). $256 later, I have a better working unit that is blowing cold air far better than before, it is quieter and no hard bangs when it turns on/off. went well. I've used MBS for several years for annual heat pump checkup. discussed my desire to relocate the dryer to a new location in the basement and learned that the metal flexible duct work is out of code for dryers. Also got an estimate for duct work cleaning for a townhouse ($500-700)
