Description of Work: Purchased countertop at Timonium location and gave 50% deposit. Granite Outlet called a couple days later to tell us they ran over the piece with their truck ruining it. They fought over giving us a full refund for our deposit. Involved VISA and received refund. Would not recommend.

Good prices and professional service. On the first appointment for measuring they arrived late and it took over a week to schedule our installation, which put back our completion schedule, but otherwise it was a good experience. The guys who did the actual installation were excellent and did a beautiful job.

Husband picked the granite, talked to the salesman a few times, negotiated the price and set a time/date for measurements within a few days. After they measured it took 7 days to get the granite cut and installed. Installation took a few hrs. The guys were good, they had a little trouble with the drop in sink (b/c cutting for drop ins takes place on site), but other than that it went very smoothly. I thought they were great. Much better than Home Depot or other installers that would take weeks to show up. The counters look amazing. I love it.

We were very happy, they did great work. They were on time and even went above and beyond the call of duty by offering us a free cutting board. They were always readily available and accessible. Kenny is wonderful!

Classic bait and switch. I spoke to Keith on the phone about their 39.95 a sq/ft offer and asked him if it applied to all their colors of granite. He said yes. When we came in to see their samples, they said that the special only applied to four unappealing slabs of granite (out of around 100). When I explained the quote I was given, the salesperson said that these were the prices (around 65.00 a sq/ft).

other than getting a date that worked for me and my contractor, it went really well. The granite is beautiful and the installation went smoothly. - Richard was great to work with - they are not high pressured sales people, you can take as much time as you need and they don't hover.

They have a good selection of granite. I thought the salesman was helpful in describing the process and the options to consider. The measurer took almost two hours to do the measurement. I thought that was a long time given that my kitchen is not that big but I guess it is important to be very precise on this. I did have to followup with the salesman to make sure the final measurements were submitted. The installers were very good and made a few adjustments onsite so that everything fit well. The installation was scheduled faster than I expected.

It seems fine in the beginning. I surmised that they would have to cut in a L shape to fit the countertop - they were not speaking in English at that time. Later, I heard the saw (I was not in the room) but I was not thinking that it would be a problem - they're the experts, not me. After the top was installed, I inspected the granite and cabinets - that was OK. As they left, I went into the bathroom to clean the mess on the floor they left - pieces of caulk, etc. - and I realized the "mess" included five gashes in a row! I called the salesperson and he called the service manager. The installers came back and denied that they did not use anything that would had marred the floor. I pointed out that there was a felt cover of a circular saw in my bathtub that they had used. Again, they denied it. They took pictures and left. The next day, the service manager said the same excuse - no saw, etc. At this point, we are looking into other remedies.
Description of Work: I had 2 granite countertops installed in our master bath. Unfortunately, the installers were in a hurry. They cut the granite on our beautiful new tile floor! The gashes in the tile were from a circular saw. The installers and the service manager have denied that they did not do it.

We went to their showroom in Alexandria and met with Frank Harding to discuss options. We looked at the slabs they had available. We picked out a couple that we liked and he gave us a rough estimate at the time based on our measurements. We then set up a formal measurement and estimate, which came in slightly higher than the original estimate, but was completely understandable once they explained it. We then scheduled the installation of the 1st part of the granite, the next day the plumber came and did the sink/faucet/disposal and the full height back splash was completed a couple of days after that(they had to measure and cut after the other piece was installed). The whole kitchen took a couple of days and the process took about 3 weeks from initial estimate to completion. All in all we are completely satisfied with the results.
Description of Work: We had the countertops, sink and faucet in our kitchen replaced with granite.

Went to showroom and met Kenny Lawal who explained procedures, then showed us a large room full of slabs of granite from which to choose. Kenny estimated price and set up an appointment for Joe to come and precisely measure our kitchen using state-of-the-art equipment. Once we decided to go ahead, called Kenny and he had their factory people call to set up appt. They came on time on the appointed day, removed and disposed of old countertops, sink, faucet, and garbage disposal(I had bought a new one)and cleaned up fairly well afterwards. Only had a problem with one measurement which required cutting the continuous slab and then putting in an extra seam. However, that balanced well with another seam and is very difficult to find. We love the results and are happy with our choice of granite and not having a backsplash installed, since had tile backsplash done instead.
Description of Work: Put in granite countertops in kitchen plus new sink, faucet, and garbage disposal, then removed and disposed of all old materials.

We called to get a quote and faxed a drawing over to the store so they could make an accurate estimate. Then we visited the store. They encouraged us to bring a sample cabinet and flooring to help select a coordinating countertop. The staff (Richard) was helpful in getting us to think critically about our selection. Someone came to the house and measured and took pictures. From then, the installation took longer than I would've liked (just over 2 weeks) due to scheduling. Installation was really quick and easy. I had to have a separate contractor level the cabinets. They referred me to an outstanding plumber to install the faucet, but I wish that it was one-stop shopping for countertop installation and the plumbing. They were pricier than other estimates I had done, but their store and the helpfulness of the staff was an important factor in selection.
Description of Work: The Rockville store handled my transaction. I had about 35 sq ft. of countertops, 4" high backsplash, plus a new sink. My kitchen was particularly odd shaped, so I ordered extra granite.
