Cunningham's Rug Cleaning

They arrived on time, they removed the rugs after moving the furniture. Then put the furniture back! When the rugs were returned they laid them down and put furniture back in place.

Chip surveyed the rugs and analyzed what needed to be done. He is very knowledgeable and honestly evaluated what should be done to make the rugs colorful again.

The rugs were nicely cleaned. The customer service was great. But, the company too 2 months to complete the cleaning. This was not a problem for me but if you need your rugs back sooner you might want to check out the return date.

We had a dog-pee-soaked wool rug and two others that needed cleaning, so I purchased Cunningham's two-for-$189 deal and messaged them about adding the third one. They responded promptly with answers to my questions, and we arranged a pickup time. The two guys who came to pick up the rugs arrived on time and were very nice. I didn't realize they always measure rugs before removing them from the house, so I had mine all rolled up and ready to go when they arrived. They patiently unrolled and measured them and then rolled them back up and took them out. The rugs were at Cunningham's for a month and were just delivered this morning. Observations: Rug one: hand-hooked 100% wool, stiff with urine from a dog who at the time had undiagnosed diabetes (because untreated diabetes = uncontrollable oceans of super-sticky pee). The rug had been cleaned a year previously by another company that used such a strong deodorizer that, even saturated with urine, the rug still gave off the odor of the deodorizer. This rug came back from Cunningham's unbelievably soft, with only a very faint trace of the other company's deodorizer still on it and no smell of dog pee. The one disappointment: the rug came home with a quarter-sized hole in the backing. It looks like maybe it got caught on something sharp in the van because Cunningham's ID tag was partially ripped off in the same area. I initially liked that the rugs were tied with twine instead of wrapped in paper, but now I'm thinking that paper might have prevented the hole. You can't tell it's there from the top side, but holes generally don't enhance durability and longevity. Rug two: another hand-hooked 100% wool. Had one pee spot on it. Came back soft and clean, with no odors. Rug three: I'm both disappointed and very impressed. This rug is a huge, white bamboo/cotton blend shag from a room with a ground-level cat window flap. It had one dog pee spot, one cat pee spot, and one very dirty spot where the mostly outdoors cat routinely slept until I wised up and got her a bed. This rug came back with no trace - visually or odor-wise - of urine. I remember exactly where the spots were but I can't find them now. The dirty spot also came almost completely clean; the area is slightly dark, like a faint shadow, but you wouldn't notice it unless you were looking for it. The disappointment is that the rug was somehow separated from its backing during the process and is now only attached at the four sides. Imagine trying to perfectly align a 10'x12' sheet on top of another one that's slightly larger, and that's what laying this rug out on the floor was like. I had to go back and forth matching all the sides evenly together, which was a pain and took a while to accomplish because the edges kept rolling. Finally, this rug also came back with a couple of scuff marks/not-quite-holes in the backing. Bottom line: Cunningham's was able to clean pet-damaged rugs better than any other company I've ever used, but I will probably continue my quest for the "perfect" rug cleaner because I doubt my rugs can handle such an aggressive cleaning again without sustaining even more damage.

I had three large rugs given to me by family. All of which were a little run down. My husband spilled an entire glass of wine on one soon after we received it. I called a few places and Cunningham had the best price. The guys came and move our furniture off the rugs, labels them and took them away. I got back 3 amazingly refreshed rugs. The one with the wine stain was not noticeable to me at all. the person who cleaned the wine stained rug came with the delivery guy in obvious pride of his well done work. I really like that the guys cared. I would use them again!

Cunningham picked up the rugs from my house - they did a great job cleaning them. They were dusty and smelly from sitting in an empty house overseas. They now smell fresh. Stains look better - I'm not sure how old they were, so I didn't expect them to completely disappear. Dropped off the rugs back at my house a couple of weeks later.

Very contours professional team arrived, measured and rolled up the carpets. They explained the process then took off. Few weeks later they dropped and rolled the carpets off.

I purchased the $189 deal on Angies list. I originally had concerns about extra fees that I was told about when scheduling the appointment. The managers called me when they heard I was unhappy - even before my original Angie's list review went up. They have been very responsive and are working with me to resolve my concerns. I haven't had the rugs cleaned yet, but if they take rug cleaning as seriously as they take customer service, I'm sure they will do a great job.

I paid an additional amount to cover the rest of the cost. The experience with them was great. They are great communicators, they were very efficient in picking up the rugs, and the the communication was also very good when they were delivering them. I though the price was fair.
