Cunningham's Rug Cleaning

It is no surprise why Cunninghams has excellent reviews on Angie's List. We chose them to clean our fine area rug. They did an outstanding job and they made the entire process so easy from start to finish. Elizabeth in the office was always very friendly, professional, prompt in returning calls, and knowledgable about the cleaning process (which we were already somewhat familiar with from reading the website - very unique/impressive). She was efficient in scheduling our appointment. The pricing is reasonable, and you receive excellent service in addition to the rug cleaning (e.g., no extra charge for pick up and delivery). Billy came to the house to measure the rug, provide a definitive quote, answer any additional questions, and pick up our area rug. He was also very friendly and professional, and a true pleasure to work with. The rug was cleaned by their fantastic team, and we can tell that they took excellent care of it, as it looks wonderful. Billy delivered the freshly cleaned rug (with a new rug pad we purchased), and he took the time to properly place it back in its original space. We would definitely use Cunningham's again and recommend this company to others.

It went great - they were super responsive to my initial request. As soon as I purchased my Big Deal, they got in touch to schedule. They picked up the rugs within a few days of that, accommodated my request for day and time, and came at the time they said they would. Completed the rugs within the promised time frame and also delivered on the day and time requested - also arrived on time. 2 rugs were literally brought back to life. For one of them, it's hard to tell as much of a difference, but that could just be to due to the color and the level of the wear and tear. They did such an amazing job on the others, I can only assume they did a great job on this one too.

Both pickup and delivery were PRECISELY on time. The guys who picked up the rugs assessed them on the spot, explained the service, and were very professional all around.

I took advantage of an Angie's List special. Great experience. Pick-up was on time. Moderately dirty rugs. Thorough examination and discussion of the rugs' condition, including worn areas and presumed cooking oil stain one of them (tribal rug from nomadic Afghan community), which I understood might not come out. Photos taken. Was told rugs would be ready in approximately two weeks, and they were. Delivery was held up due to my inability to be at home for awhile; they were very flexible/accommodating of my schedule issues. Finally found a date and time that would work. They showed up on time and unrolled the rugs. They look and feel great! The cooking oil stain did not come out completely, but it's noticeably smaller/lighter than it was. I have several more vintage rugs and will definitely use Cunningham's again.

A DATE AND TIME WAS SET-UP FOR MY CARPET TO BE PICKED-UP AND I WAS CALLED TO CONFIRM. THE REP CALLED ME EARLY IN THE MORNING TO ASK IF HE COULD COME EARLIER THAN THE SCHEDULED TIME. WHEN HE ARRIVED HE MEASURED THE CARPET AND GAVE ME A PRICE THAT WAS LOWER THAN ORIGINALLY QUOTED BECAUSE THE CARPET WAS SLIGHTLY SMALLER THAN I THOUGHT. THE REP WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND POLITE. HE TOLD ME THE RUG WOULD BE FINISHED IN APPROXIMATELY 3 WEEKS. THREE WEEKS LATER I RECIEVED A CALL LETTING ME KNOW MY RUG WAS READY FOR DELIVERY AND A TIME AND DATE WAS ARRANGED. AGAIN THE REP ARRIVED RIGHT ON TIME. I AM SO PLEASED WITH THE WAY MY RUG LOOKED AND FELT WHEN IT WAS PUT DOWN I ALMOST WISH I HAD ANOTHER THAT I COULD HAVE CLEANED. MY RUG LOOKS AND FEELS NEW. IT IS BEAUTIFUL! I CAN'T PRAISE CUNNINGHAM'S ENOUGH. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANYTO EVERYONE THAT IS LOOKING FOR A TRUE PROFESSIONAL.

The company gave me a return date & a courtesy call 30 min. out - which I appreciated. Billy laid the rugs out for me & helped me re-position furniture, making sure the rugs were perfectly positioned! The rugs look so beautiful! I didn't realize how dingy they were and now they are bright!!!! I have already given their name to some of my customers!

They contacted me the day after purchase and worked with me to determine best 2 rugs to include for the deal as it was limited to rugs 62 sq ft or less. I had a number of rugs but wanted to try out their service first. The ones we decided on were a hand knotted wool and one machined wool to be cleaned and treated. Of course my dog preferred to used the expense one when we weren't home so it really needed to be cleaned and treated. They did a great job. You are always worried when you send rugs out that something might happen but they did a great job. They showed up on time to pick up the rug and worked around my schedule on the return delivery. The telephone contacts were very professional as were the people in the field. I am very pleased with the service.

Cunningham's service was wonderful! I called for an Angie's deal to clean 2 rugs, but I asked them to include 3 others. One of these was quite large. They gave me an approximate estimate on the phone when I spoke with them and came out within 10 days for the actual estimate and to pick up the rugs if I agreed. I did agree and the rugs were returned to me looking as if they were brand new! These rugs cover almost all of the wood floors in our dining room and living room and I cannot tell you how much better these rooms look. (I mean i can tell you that they look extraordinarily better!) One rug in the dining room is about 8 by 11 feet and is under the dining room table. Not surprisingly, this rug had a bunch of food stains on it, some of which had been there for years. I thought they may not be able to remove some or all of these stains, but they did! It was incredible! The service personnel who came out to estimate and pick up the rugs and the personnel who returned them were very professional, courteous, and efficient. They did a wonderful job explaining things to me, rolling up the rugs and putting them on the truck, and returning and replacing them. Everything they did was done well. The personnel in the office that I spoke with were also very courteous and professional. The service agreement that I was provided when the rugs were picked up was very clear and useful. The price for this service, given the total area of these rugs and the high quality of the work, was well worth it. I would mention that I was given an estimate of 2 weeks for the whole job, but it actually took 4 weeks. I finally called because we were expecting company, and they quickly worked to get the rugs back to us in time for the company. In any case, I would definitely use Cunningham's in the future and recommend them to anyone to clean rugs. I would just suggest that if you have a specific deadline that you need the rugs back by--let them know in the office. But I have to say that our 5 rugs looked very grungy and old before they were cleaned and now they look great! Sometimes, when I am walking thru the living and dining rooms now, I actually do stop to admire them.

Very efficient-Laid down the new padding for each rm. (Living & dining rms). They laid the carpet down-Dining rm first. Replaced all the furniture. Did same with living rm. furniture. Were on time! Adjusted both carpets (rugs?) and furniture.

Rugs were cleaned very good and the guys were happy to move my furniture to put the rug back in the living room.

There was a problem with the initial pick-up , but overall the service was good.'

I have not heard back from the company since they picked up the rugs. Very bad follow-up.

They didn't get the main spot out that I wanted. I didn't really get what I wanted out of it. They didn't do such a great job. They were okay. They're nice people. I have no complaints about how they acted or anything. Everything was good, but they didn't get the spot out, and they may have been afraid of taking away the color of the rug.

Cunningham was very punctual for both the pick up and delivery of our rugs. They were able to remove stains that I thought we would live with forever. All the people I interacted with were wonderful.

Prompt and nice delivery folks who moved furniture and hauled carpets. They did a nice job with cleaning and were careful and patient with moving rugs and furniture. Would definitely use them again.

Cunningham's did a great job. They arranged quickly to pick up my rugs in Arlington. They cleaned the rugs and bound the frayed edges of one of them, and set up a time to deliver the finished rugs to me. The rugs were supposed to be delivered between 8 and 9 a.m., and at 8:30 I received a call from Cunningham's explaining that their delivery guys were delayed because of an accident on the Beltway and expressing concern in the event I needed to be at work or somewhere else. I explained that the timing wasn't a problem, and the rugs arrived at 9:20--just a few minutes late. I appreciated their communicating with me and their concern about my schedule--not something one sees from many providers. They did a great job with the rugs (and their 20 years of accumulated dirt!). I'd use Cunningham's again without hesitation.
