BS&E previously installed recessed lights for me in 2014. Because of their good work, I purchased a Big Deal for $89 per light. B&SE called the day of appointment. Had to reschedule due to employee emergency. Created an issue for me having planned to miss work to meet them. On day of rescheduled appointment, they were late due to earlier job taking longer than planned. Thus the rating for punctuality. Wasn't necessarily their fault. Work was very professionally done. Unfortunately there was some drywall repair needed on one light fixture due to ventilation duct being too close to accommodate recessed light fixture. Not their fault. Another issue was that I assumed the Big Deal deal included dimmer switches. They had no intention of installing dimmer switches. The Big Deal description was not clear. Compromise was that they absorbed the cost for one, I paid for the second. Big Deal should have been clear that dimmer switches were an additional cost. Please clarify upfront if you purchase this Big Deal.

Excellent. The electrician, David, removed a huge old ceiling fan and replaced it with the modern one I had bought. In addition to being punctual, professional and very pleasant, he was incredibly patient with my slanted ceilings and persisted in making adjustments until the fan was wobble-free. No extra charges for new switch plate. Highly recommended.

The installers did an excellent job. The original price paid via Angie's list included a very minimal fan installation such as replacing an existing fan. That was not the case with my installation since there never was anything at all in the ceiling where we wanted the fan to be installed. The additional cost was not a surprise, since this was specified in the details to require an additional cost. It actually was a lot of additional work since a wall switch had to be installed, as well as electric service to the ceiling where none existed before.

Many would certainly consider this a small job but the service from the company and ite employees was excellent from start to finish. They made the experience smooth from setting up the appointment to letting me know when they would arrive on the day the fan was to be installed. Both installers were professional, knowledgeable and very cordial. They were just great all around guys and patiently answered all questions that I had.. I would highly recommend this company to anyone having electrical work done.. thank you for a great experience.

The work was exceptional. Hyatt and Dave were extremely professional and installed the fan flawlessly. The technicians deserve an 'A' in each category above. Then they finished, called the office, and were instructed by Rob to charge me an additional $250. Rob said I owed for the mounting hardware ($125). I told him I provided it (actual cost-$19 at Lowe's). He then said I owed $125 because I didn't have a fixture in the ceiling and the workers had to wire it. I told him there was nothing in the fine print about a fixture in the ceiling and that wiring is part of installation! This got pretty heated, but he finally agreed. So, the extra $250 was cancelled. However, I should not have to have been put through that crap. So, Rob gets an F. Be sure and discuss everything with this outfit beforehand. The secretary told me they might charge more for a mounting kit than Lowes, but she didn't say it would be over five times as much.

Ceiling fan was installed these guys are great and they even left a small gift package that had some of their literature to include business cards pens and paper. I would definitely hire these guys again in the future.

I really like this company and highly recommend them to others. The electricians were extremely professional and knowledgeable - and their office assistant was pleasant and helpful. They installed my ceiling fan in a very timely manner, wore booties into my home to keep my carpeting clean, covered the entire work area in plastic to avoid dust falling everywhere, and cleaned up thoroughly when they were done, even removing the empty box and packing materials. I will certainly hire them again - thanks!

David did a great job; was extremely polite and very professional so much so that I purchased additional services on the spot where he also did a great job.

The team arrived early, they were professional and made good suggestion for some up coming projects. The two of them were very positive and upbeat, great attitude!

First, the electrician was very good, he knew the actions that were required to get the outlets installed. He ensured that he was tidy and left the areas in better condition than when he started. He was able to communicate what was needed and why. With that being said, after four hours, additional work would be $125 per hour. I did not have any trouble shooting perform on my shed. So why state $349 for $800 of service, to be close would $349 for $500 of service. For another hour of time, I would have gotten all of my outlets but now I have four that are out of code. I believe that there some intent to embellish maybe not to defraud but had I known that I was getting four hours I might have refrained from buying this service.

Without a doubt I can say this is the absolutely the best electric company in the world without exaggeration as I have used three others unsuccessfully. From inception to completion they were not only knowledgeable, efficient, fast, friendly and professional but neat workers who respect your home and personal property. They go above and beyond electrical work and provide excellent customer service. They have what's lost today, great customer service. They aim to please. They appreciate you and recognize word of mouth is the best publicity. I moved into a new home and needed some repair work completed. Johnathan, the owner came in and gave me a fair estimate. He sent two great guys to my home Evan and Matt. They got the work completed correctly in record time. I had no problem adding onto my original work order once I seen how wonderful they were. I wont use any other company. I am sold for life to Bailey and Shipp. Thanks to Johnathan and the crew. See you again soon, I have added a ceiling fan to my list of work needed.

Contacted vendor to arrange appointment on 3/24/17 and 4/4/17, vendor failed/refused to respond follow up.

Extraordinary! I was impressed first with the responsiveness of the office staff, keeping me informed of any changes in dates or times. The technician David called the day of and asked if he could come earlier than planned. When does that ever happen? We hit a snag with the pendant lights and David brainstormed ideas with me and we came up with a better plan than I first had. He didn't want to leave the job unsatisfactory for me or for him. Took pride in his work. Polite respectful. Cleaned up any mess left behind

It went well. David and Hyatt arrived and promptly divided up the tasks. Some were easily fixed, others required some effort, especially the outside lights, as it was a cold day and they could only be reached by ladder. By late morning, everything had been repaired and I had some suggestions on how to resolve an ongoing problem without resorting to an expensive new wiring project. David and Hyatt were professional and pleasant to work with. I'd definitely use Bailey and Shipp again.

They were very upfront with the fact that there was extra wiring that I needed to finish the project, and I felt they were very honest with me and very upfront.

Two electricians who did the work were professional & efficient. I would definitely hire this company again.

High quality work. They were very careful with the drywall, only making three small openings to run all the cables.

The service technicians from Bailey & Shipp Electric completed the electrical work well and were very clean and courteous. However, of the 4 recessed lights we had installed, one had a problem. The technician ended up cutting a hole in our ceiling than was much larger than was needed for the size of the light. There is now a hole in our ceiling that extends out the side of the light and up into our attic. I monitored the guys work and the damage took place essentially because on the install of this particular recess light, he shoved the insert forcefully which caused the break in drywall. I witnessed the damage real time from my den b/c it was in my direct view. He realized it and saw that I saw the damage take place. I could hear the force of the recess insert being installed. We were told that dry wall can crumble when they cut it and that they couldn’t repair it because the cost quoted didn’t cover dry wall repair. When we contacted the company, they told us that, if we wanted the hole that THEY created in our ceiling to be fixed, we’d need to pay an additional $200. To be fair, the fine print did say that dry wall repair was not included; however, it’s not exactly a repair when your technicians created the problem that needed to be repaired. That’s just standing behind the quality of your company’s work. No ‘repairs’ were needed before the company entered our house. The electrical work was done well but, if you’d like recessed lights to be installed AND have them fit nicely in your ceiling without any gaping holes in your ceiling, this may not be the company for you. In addition, 24 hours later a light bulb attached to the recess light where the damaged ceiling is now went out which I replaced a day later.

Fast efficient. Worked thru finding out what those inevitable mystery light switches controlled.

Purchased 2 hours of electrical work deal through Angie's List. Unfortunately the job was more complicated than expected, so it took the full two hours to complete. Well worth it though. David was great and wouldn't give up - using all the tricks he knew to make it work.

best service i ever had. electrician arrived on time, discussed project and alternative approaches, went to work diligently right away, even asked if there was anything else he could do, in particular the service delivered was as advertised and understood, to wit, $89/recessed light--what a deal!

I purchased the Deal for four recessed lights and dimmer switch installed for $399. I soon received a call from the Bailey and Shipp office to schedule installation. During the call, I was asked a few questions and informed that an additional $125 might be necessary for wiring to a location that wasn't setup for lights already. I was also told I could upgrade to LED lights for an extra $50 per fixture. The scheduler said that the installers would bring both kinds of bulbs so I could compare after installation. On the day of install, the two electricians (David and Hyatt) arrived on time. They asked where I wanted the lights (the living room) and they helped me decide on where each light should be placed (spacing from the wall and each other). They first set out paper templates on the ceiling so I could see the eventual location, which was helpful. They warned that additional holes might need to be made in the drywall for wiring, but that those would be covered with plates. They covered the area with plastic tarps and proceeded to work. The project took about three hours. I was very happy with the outcome. The lights were installed very cleanly and blend nicely with the ceiling. The LED lights give off a nice, warm, light and significantly improve lighting in the room. David and Hyatt were professional and responsive throughout the installation. Total cost was $399 for the deal plus $125 for added wiring and $200 for four LED bulbs. I did not price LED bulbs previously.
