We're very happy. They kept us in the loop and what I liked best about them early on was they gave a very detailed estimate with exactly what it was going to cost us and how long it was going to take which is something not all the electricians were, basically they gave us the most detailed and accurate estimate so we knew exactly what we were getting into. They had to postpone for day cause the electrician had a family emergency but the notified us 24 hours in advance and came right on time the day they rescheduled for us so we are perfectly happy with that too.

There was just one worker. The worker was here for about two hours.

Recessed alignment was awful, holes were hand cut and sloppy instead of accurately cut with a hole saw. Tried to squeeze in standard height cans obstructed by pipes rather than getting shallow depth cans. Spent many hours re-cutting, patching, and re-texturing my ceiling to correct alignment layout, and fix the botched job.

The overall “C” was for paying attention to detail and just showing up to finish stuff. I didn’t talk to them, I didn’t know they were showing up and I was not even planning on being home. Stuff like that. A lot of repeat trips. What they did well: They did ultimately come back and fixed everything that needed to be done.

Electrician did a superb job in no time at all. Suggested an upgrade since fixture was for a bathroom. Took his advice for complete code compliance.

I needed an additional light added to an existing string of recessed lighting. These guys were great! I cannot say enough great things about the professionalism of these guys. My lighting looks like it was originally installed with the others! I plan to hire them for more lighting installation in the future!

I purchased recessed light installation on a promotion thru Angieslist. Everything went incredibly smoothly, I did not have any extra wiring that needed to be done. The B&S office called me a few days ahead to confirm appointment, and on the day of the appointment, the electrician called an hour ahead to let me know he was on the way. The electrician and his apprentice measured very carefully, making sure that I knew where the new lights would be, and suggesting distances that are most pleasing. I greatly appreciated this since they know a lot more than me about these things. I think communication was the key to making this one of my best experiences with a contractor.

Not well. What was quoted as 1 full day turned into 3. First day they didn't have the right crew for the vaulted ceiling. Second day they tried to finish. Third day they fixed their errrors and the items they broke, sort of. Everything looks great and the electricians were very friendly, but we seriously question the quality of work based on the following: 1st day they broke a smoke detector and the glass to our ceiling fan. They also left their power drill. 2nd day they couldn't finish due to having purchased an open box item without all the parts. Plus they didn't make a light a 3-way as written in the order and discussed that morning. 3rd day they replaced our now broken frosted marbled glass ceiling fan globe with a plastic white one. They also left their sweater in our attic. Lastly, on electrician quality - he threw away everything we didn't explicitly ask him to keep. It would have been nice to offer us the boxes of the parts we now own and the old switches he replaced, but more importantly, he also threw out the drywall squares he cut out of the walls for access. ... If he thought the plate he installed suffices, he probably should have ensured that the plate was bigger than the whole he cut. (But we don't want to look at plates anyway.) I think a C rating is generous considering that we also had to reschedule EVERY visit! No, "We'll be back tomorrow." Instead, "We'll call you," but then they NEVER call back. What's worse, they're asking us for a receipt for our ceiling fan so that they can properly replace our ceiling fan glass. You would think a professional company might be concerned about their customer's satisfaction enough to say, "Our electrician said that you have a Hunter fan. It's unfortunate that he threw away your glass globe. Could you please describe the part for us to order. They have too many options for us to pick on our own."

The technicians were professional; they explained the entire process to me and when challenged with a minor obstacle, the technicians quickly resolved the issue by purchasing a replacement light to fit the space.
