We had the unfortunate experience of a sewer back up in our downstairs bathroom. The city did their part and cleared roots from the sewer drain but to be safe, we had our part of the sewer line cleared as well. They came out the same day, removed the old toilet, used a scope to see where else there may be a clog, cleared a few more roots, installed the new toilet. I think the price was fair considering the work that was done and the time that it took. He was professional and let us know what he was doing along the way. We will definitely use them again!

2 hours later determined shower ceramic tile wall was problem

Great. Scott and Charlie were very nice plumbers to work with. I had learned that Scott (foreman) was up most of the previous night dealing with an emergency job and family matter but still made it on time for my job. I really did appreciate that. They had to reroute some plumbing lines to accommodate the relocation of my new hot water heater. The work was beyond my expectations and I was very pleased. I selected Putman because they had 80 gallon hot water heater in stock at a reasonable price. This was important to me because new EPA energy efficiency regulations have dramatically driven up the price for hot water heaters above 50 gallons. Bottom line.........Putman did the job at the lowest price and the highest quality. AAA rating from this customer.

From the moment the drop-cloth went down to protect the floor, and buckets used to carry heavy tools and catch the drips, to the last wipe up, we knew we were dealing with a real professional. The previous pipework was done in such a way as create a backup, and that is all clear. After waiting all day for various promised professionals to get back to us, it was such a relief to call a plumber, late in the day, and have him show up as promised, with all the needed tools and equipment, to get the job done. We will definitely call you again when we need more plumbing work done.

They're on contract to us. They would do all these piping that had to be replaced. I'm working with them to replace all the copper pipes that we have in the house. It would have started last year but we have other issues and I have to have surgery and stuff. I love them. I recommend them to anyone that needs a plumber in the area. They came out when we didn't have water. That's the first time we got them. We didn't have water and we couldn't figure out what was going on. The son was out there and the father came. They came way after their closing time because we had trouble and we decided to replace everything. They came back the next day and took care of all of that. We had to replace the wiring, there was a short in the wiring. They figured out to protect that part of the wiring just to be on the safe side in case there was something in the well that was fogging the wire that they couldn't see. Then we sprung a leak. I had a guy replacing all the ducts and the air conditioner at the basement. I heard a hissing sound and there was water flowing out of our pipes near the holding tanks. He came out and at least he fixed it. He came back twice to look at the situation and that led to us agreeing to replace all the pipes. They know my situation and that's going to help. Its just noce to have somebody that is competent because we've already gone through two other plumbers who overcharged us. He's trying to redo what they did. Its nice to find somebody local. A lot of people know them and they know that they do good work so that's good. They're going to be replacing three storeys of pipes.

This is the second job that Pat has completed for us and we couldn't be more satisfied. He is very professional and knowledgeable. I called this morning with a leaking water heater and he was here before 9:00 am to replace it. We will use Putnam Plumbing for all of our future plumbing needs.

They are very good. They are very friendly and nice. They do good work and it is a father and son company. They worked with the air conditioning company when I had new heater and air conditioner put in. They offer a service plan that covers me for the year. I just pay for parts. They did a whole check of the house for leaking and things like that. They are great. 0

They had to move the water heater and put a drip pan in. I thought the price was fair and they do a really good job. They gave me options and didn't pressure me to do anything. They made the recommendations and told me if it was an absolute or not. 0

They fixed it and warrantied the work.

After 27 years of laboriously cleaning limestone from appliances, we have been set free. Scott and his helper took on a massive job for us and performed magnificently. Our toilet has been rebuilt and the bathtub now holds water. We have a new hot water heater, pressure tank, and a long-overdue water softener system. Scott also found a pipe to the washing machine had been clogged with glue when the valve was replaced by a former plumber! The work was done efficiently, courteously, and cleanly. We are very pleased, and highly recommend Putman Plumbing. Thank you!

Have to hand it to Scott at Putman Plumbing. This plumber does not stop until the job is done right. Had a water filter (rather large tank) with associated piping installed in our home and turns out this particular unit needed alterations from the factory. Scott took care of the install and returned to see that the operation of the unit was to our satisfaction. Highly recommend the folks at Putman Plumbing for all your plumbing needs. To date we've had cutout valves changed in our laundry room, toilet repairs, faucets installed, whole house water pressure tank installed as well as this water filter system installed in our home as noted. Very happy with the effort put forth from this company.

Mr Pat Putman is the most reliable, kind, knowledgeable plumber I have ever encountered. He isn't the cheapest, but his work is top notch. He is so knowledgable and such a capable problem solver he should be called "Dr Putman," he must have a PhD in plumbing (but I'm not sure that is possible). We bought an old house that needed a lot of plumbing repair. He was able to assess our needs and prioritize them. He worked quickly and efficiently. A year later we no complaints with the extensive work he did for us in the spring of 2013.

They replaced the leaking Water Heater with a new 50 gallon Ruud, Electric Water Heater, added a 4 year Tank Extension Kit, which attracts the minerals in the water to the rods, instead of the heater itself. The main house valve was leaking and a new one was replaced by a ball valve (it is a lever instead of the wheel type). Had to replace the Pressure Switch which was clogged almost shut and the laundry room faucet had to be replaced due to internal breakdown. I did have a coupon from Angies List that was honored. When I called Putman, I first talked to their representative and was really surprised on her knowledge of the whole operation. Lots of times when you call a company, you get someone that is lucky to know their name. The representative gave me confidence thatI had called the right company and was in good hands.

Prompt, professional service all the way through the interaction. It was easy to schedule the appointment, they arrived on time, quickly assessed the problem and explained clearly to me what needed to be done. They cleaned up after their work and had a positive and respectful attitude during the entire visit. Prices seem reasonable, and they also showed me how to avoid problems in the future. I plan to enter a service agreement with this firm since they are so good to work with.

Pat was the only plumber to return my call. He told me about how long it would take for him to get to us and he was at our house within the time promised. He quickly fixed our issue and offered us a new customer package with no hard selling or pressure. We will have hime back to fix an issue he identified which will keep us from having to have an emergency visit for the same problem in the future.

They are amazing, they know what what they are doing. When they come to inspect of fix anything, Scot is personable, and explains things. I had something else that I had in my laundry room, that I was going to seal up and paint over, and he overheard my conversation, and he explained to me what it was, and how I could cover it up appropriately. It is a friendly type of family company.

I know we found them online. My mom was very satisfied. They were an excellent service and very timely. It just seemed like a company that we seemed lucky and really got good one on one service.

They were very professional, excellent and the work is done right. The technicians who came out were friendly, helpful and they're not pushy all about trying to buy extra services or anything like that. We have hardwood floors so they always come prepared with a shoe covers and they always explain the service, what is going to cost and there are upgrades that could be done so they gave us the information but they are not pushy about that at all. It is a wonderful company to work with and I love them.

This was our first time selecting a contractor from Angie's List and we're happy with the experience. "Scott" showed up right on time and made a very good first impression with his appearance and courtesy (nice firm handshake, too). After confirming/diagnosing the problems, he gave us a thorough explanation about what he was going to do and what the cost would be. He answered all our questions and even showed us a few preventive measures we can take. These repairs may have been routine, but the service was thorough and professional just the same. We'd hire them again.

Putnam's representatives were prompt, quick, efficient, and very professional. As it turned out, the previous owners of our house had used them for previous plumbing work, so the rep. shared with me what they had done on the house before. This was very helpful information in making a cost-effective (in the long term) decision to close off a chronic and expensive problem over the house's history. This to me is a good sign of forthrightness.

I have used Mr. Putnam's service for several years. He is very good and reliable. I have rentals units he has serviced over about 10 years. He is a very honest man.

Unlike the plumber we had out the week before, Mr. Putman asked questions about the constant cycling of the pump and reviewed the benefits of a submersible versus a replacement pump. As a result of the questions, he was able to recommend a submersible replacement that did not unnecessarily replace pipes to the house and other components. In addition, while he was on-site, we willingly fixed a leaking valve underneath the kitchen sink. Saving a lot of time and fees for another visit.

They come in prepared to work. the first time I used them was when my water heater burned out because of the flooding that happened in the basement and they came out the next day. I called at five in the morning to leave a message and I got a live person in the phone and they had somebody in my place in 8:30 to replace my water heater. They have a fully stuffed truck that they travel with and so they have everything they need when they show up and do the job and they're very reasonable. They're very professional and do excellent work. I like them than the ones I had before, they're just some kind of a fly by 9 guys showed up and didn't seem very prepared and wanted to talk a lot more than to work. The Putman's were very professional looking, they have nice uniforms on for their family business. They do some specials like for a year membership thing and they give you double the price of your yearly membership discounts for every work you have done and they do a complete walk through on your house once a year to make any kind of recommendations for things that needed to be done like with all your shower heads and faucets, they look for any leaks or anything so they're very good. If you do have any work done, they give you discount coupons more than they got for the annual maintenance.
