Allen & Son's Tree Service

I am very pleased to have worked with Allen and Son's Tree Service to have three large trees removed, the stumps ground and some other large trees trimmed. Their crew arrived on-time, and they completed all of the work with efficiency and professionalism. They removed all debris and left the area very clean. The price quoted was reasonable, and there were no additional surprise charges. I highly recommend Allen and Son's Tree Service and will contact them in the future for additional work needed.

It went well!

The team showed up right on time and promptly went to work. The trimmed up a tree in our front yard and a long line of trees that had branches hanging over or banging into our home. All other companies wanted to pick and choose which branches they cut. However, Allen and Sons cut everything along the property line. They cleaned up everything they cut. I even had some branches I had cut myself in the backyard, and they disposed of them as well. I highly recommend this company and would definitely hire them again.

I've used Allen and son's twice. They are excellent. They are knowledgeable ,courteous and professional. They did not leave until I was 100% satisfied. You get what you pay for. Not only were they great at tree service, but they made my yard look better than it did before. Customer satisfaction is the key to their business motto. I would highly recommend.

Like a well oiled machine! The owner is a super nice, straight up no nonsense guy. After having six other Angies List tree companies come out, I finally found the right one! They showed up on time, and worked like a well oiled machine. Cut down the tree, ground the stump, and were gone in less than four hours. Amazing and Impressive to watch. They also were extremely neat, and left zero trace that they had been onsite. Highly recommend this company!

They were excellent! The prices were fair. We have used them for four years. The workers are on time. They clean up. They do the job as stated. I am calling them again this year.

They are really nice and I ended up feeling taken. Ben Allen came out to do an estimate on my neighbor's yard and my neighbor asked if I wanted to talk with him as well as we had just moved into a home where nothing had been done in quite a while. Ben gave an estimate of $1850 to clear out the bushes in front of my house trim back or prune all the trees, remove the ivy from the trees and the house, and take out the overgrowth around my garage. I never got it in writing and had to call back to find out what was going on. I kind of figured when I spoke to the mom in the office and told her the price that there was a problem - it just felt weird, and she suggested that he come out. I had gotten the day wrong that they were coming so I said, I would get it in writing when he came out to do the work. The day that they came out to do the work the price magically jumped from $1850 to the price he quoted my neighbor of $3200. In retrospect, I should have declined. First off Ben said that the reason was the oaks that I had, needed to be really pruned so I said, then just get the obvious stuff, and then he said that the reason for the increase was that he hadn't included the cost of removing the overgrowth next to the garage. At that point I was pretty much caught in trying to figure out what was so and feeling like an absolute idiot for not having gotten it in writing, and with a house that badly needed the work, so we made the decision to get it over with. The trees that should have been really pruned still have dead wood in them, and there is still ivy everywhere on the trees. On the plus side, the guys were really really nice, asked about removing trees as they went along, and cleaned up everything. If I hadn't been so upset by the whole experiece I would have been out there asking about limbs that weren't done, so some of it is my fault for not being on top of things in the end and some of it is that they should have done what they overcharged or underestimated from the beginning. I asked my husband to find out about the trees but being direct isn't his forte. I honestly don't know if I would use them again. I think overall they do good work. The wise thing to do is to write it down yourself if he isn't going to do it. The interesting thing is that on the back of his card is a place for estimates so I get the impression that this has happened before.

The quality of the work stood out and they did a really good job. They were punctual and professional. They followed through on all the work areas that were designated in the contract. They did the follow up once the work was completed to make sure that we were pretty well pleased with the job. The clean up was wonderfully done. Everything was removed from the job itself. It included limbs, leaves and wood chips and the property was put back in the original order. There was no trash or anything left.
