WENTWORTH NURSERY INC

We have hired Wentworth 2x for landscape design and installation and worked directly with the owner. A small portion of the work we ordered was not completed. We were not satisfied with some of the detail work for the work they did complete, and held back a retainage on our invoice pending its resolution. Within our warranty period, we lost 10 plants. I wrote at least 3 emails explaining the situation, sent actual USPS snail mail, made phone calls, and just this past Saturday August 22nd, my husband personally visited the Charlotte Hall location and asked to speak in person with Richard Wentworth to resolve the matter amicably. Despite all of our attempts, the only contact Wentworth Nursery has made with us is monthly Statements which have billed us for the work they did not complete and the amount we withheld pending their satisfactory response to our concerns with the work. Considering we spent nearly $5,000 with them in 2 years' time and worked directly with the owner of the company, I am nothing short of astounded at the passive aggressive disinterest they have shown in our satisfaction. We had hoped to have them perform seasonal cleanups in our yard, but clearly will be going elsewhere to any nursery but Wentworths in our future. I'd recommend you do the same.

It was all good. I would rate them at the highest level of professionalism and also with both the design and implementation. I only have the highest regard for them. They're an A+.

The quality of Wentworth Nursery, Inc's work is great quality. The work is outstanding. They're a little bit on the pricey side, but you know that they're going to show up and do a good job and clean up after themselves. They did a lot of stonework. Everything is quality. They take very good care of their plants. The staff is really knowledgeable and helpful. The variety of products they have is great. It's everything from flowers to fish ponds and patio furniture. I go visit them regularly.

I contacted Wentworth to provide an estimate for landscaping services for my front yard. They responded promptly and the representative and I discussed what I wanted done. I asked if my job was something Wentworth would be interested in bidding on and was assured that they were and that they had some ideas on how to improve on my plans. Upon leaving the representative promised me an estimate within a week or so. To date I have not heard a word from Wentworth Nursery which was disappointing because I delayed awarding the job so as to have their estimate to evaluate. I would not recommend using them as my experience has shown them to be both untrustworthy and unprofessional.

They showed up when they were supposed to. We asked for low maintenance flower beds and we did not get that. The flower beds are way over planted. If I have to do it all over again, I would send back probably 30 to 40 percent of the flower beds that they planted because they are way over grown.
