Every thing went as planed

'Not many people would consider having a water supply line break and flood their house a good thing. In this case I would though, and a large part of the reason for that is Lance Buell and Buell's Home remodeling. First Let's start with the bad part. Back in September of 2011, I had a water supply line (the one that runs from the wall to the toilet) just explode for some unknown reason. I found this out when I stepped out of bed at around 4:30 in the morning to go use the bathroom and the carpet squelched under my feet. After enough brain cells started working together to figure out what was going on (followed immediately by grumbling and cursing). I swept the water out of the house, and started panicking about how in the world I was going to get things back in some semblance of order. I was also worried about finding a contractor who was trustworthy as well as competent I Joined Angie's List and started Searching. I called many contractors and received no response. A few came out and weren't interested, and I got a couple of different estimates. In the end, based on the reviews, and price, I decided to go with Buell's Home Remodeling and I'm glad that I did. Lance was always willing to work with me when I had questions, or concerns. He also was willing to work with me when I had a few changes that I needed to have made, or making additions to the list of things to be done. He was very willing to work around my schedule, and even concerned about making sure that there was as little disruption to my life as possible. He was even concerned about making sure that my brother and sister in law who live with me (and sleep late) were not disturbed as much as possible. I was very satisfied with the quality of the work done by both Lance and his helper. They both did excellent work and really seemed to care about the details and making sure that it was done properly. In short, I would definitely use Buell's Home Remodeling again for any other projects that I have in the future. Pictures can be provided on request

Lance and Leonard, his right hand man, were wonderful to work with! We felt extremely confident in both the ability of Lance's work and the fairness of his price and business practices. He was able to come out to our house for an estimate the day we called him and was in our home doing the work we had requested just a few days later. He handled the contract process professionally and we felt he was more than fair in the price he offered. We felt very comfortable having him in the house and would ask for his advice on any of our projects going forward. The quality of the work was excellent, despite some challenges beyond his control, and we would love to have him work in our home again. We think he's great!

Very smooth project

I called Mr. Buell on 11/15 to have him come out and perform some services at my rental property. The property had some water damage. Mr. Buell was prompt in returning my call, he called back the same day. Mr. Buell informed me that he had just signed a contract for a kitchen and bathroom remodeling job and he would be unable to assist me at this time. However, I requested that he call me once he becomes available. He was very professional, kind and honest. I look forward to working with him.

I initially contacted Buell's Home Remodeling & Handyman Services to have some handyman services completed on my home. I was told at that he was unable to take on new work because he had too much work and couldn’t take on any new projects. I thanked him for his time and said I would try back in the future. When I tried back later he did come to my home and gave me an estimate to repair the wood work above my entry door and caulk a large window above the door. I was given a price of $200. I told him I would call him with my decision and I was told that was fine. When I called his cell phone 2 days later I left a message that I wanted him to complete the work on my entry door and window. A week later I left another message but never received a call back for either message.

It is going very well. He has done the tiling, built a peninsula bar area, and he is doing everything that we need done. We have contracted some out such as the electrical work. He is pretty much a general contractor. He has done a very good job. When an issue comes up he presents alternatives or solution so that we can make a decision. He doesn’t gloss over it and do it his way; he lets us make the decision. He has been quite helpful.

I recieved a call today from Lance to inform me of his apoligies which I thought was very professional of him. He had some family problems that needed to be taken care of, which family is the most important thing. In the future I will give his company another chance but I have already signed for another company to do my bathroom. Thank you Lance for the call back and I wish yu happiness in your future Projects and I will call you again for another project and I hope we can get do something.

They did a really good job. They were in and out and got everything done. The pricing was very good. They came right on time. They were very professional. They are coming back to put on a deck.

I was looking for them to do some paper work which they were not able to. They were very nice. But, the paper work was heavy for the job and they could not understand it. However, they seemed like they were capable for the job that I needed to be done. They were nice but I had to explain things a lot to them. There was a lot of paper work wherein I and the contractor had to fill out a lot of forms. They were unable to get the concept of all the forms that had to be filled out. They said that they would usually do the work. The customers would then inspect the work and give them the money. They were great but were confused by the paper work concept and had a hard time understanding it.

We could not have been more pleased with the superb job that Lance Buell did remodeling our house. We are first time homebuyers, and purchasing a vacant foreclosed house with many problems created big concerns and worries for us. However, finding Lance Buell resolved all these worries as he was able to do excellent work, as well as refer to us very reliable contractors that were able to complete other work we needed done (electrical, excavation, etc.). All of the work that he completed turned out even better than we could have hoped, and his price was very fair. Lance used his wealth of experience to suggest different options for the remodeling work, and these helpful suggestions certainly made the end product much better. Being not present for most of the remodeling (we were overseas for much of the time), it was key to find someone that we could trust and was honest. Lance fits that bill perfectly. He was very good at communicating with us and keeping us updated on the work, sending photos, timelines, etc. We will continue to use him in the future for any projects we need done, from small handyman work to other large remodeling projects.

There are always things that need to get done, so he has been helpful. He is competent and does the job right. He cleans up after himself. He also listens to you.

The work was done in a professional and timely manner.

Wow! Our Bathroom remodeling by Lance Buelling Remodeling turned out wonderfully. Our most pressing issues concerning the bathroom remodeling were 1) Floor- Lance made sure the bathroom sub-floor was level and braced correctly after removing the old flooring. 2) Selecting a tile for the shower area and floor that would have eye catching appeal. Lance provided solid ideas and recommendations in selecting tile, grout, and paints for our remodeling project. Lance listen to our concerns and ideas, gave excellent answers to our questions and was always supportive of our vision. He performed his job in an outstanding manner. He was conscience, reliable, and dependable throughout the total remodeling project.

Great job. We had leaky windows and thought it would cost thousands to fix. Lance fixed the windows (they were installed incorrectly) and repaired all the water damage. Lance was quick to call us back and quick to get the job completed. We plan to have him construct a front portico in the very near future. Very happy with his work.

The projects went well. The suggested solutions for repair and improvements were good and the work was performed well. The contractor also performed some additional work that was not part of the original proposal.

I called the only person that was listed on your list that I felt was acceptable to complete the job. Time was an issue, I needed the job completed right away. He was able to do the job in a very timely fashion and coordinate the job with the renter that occupied the house. I am so pleased that I will definately recommend him to others and use him again for other jobs that may come up. He was honest and straight foward about every detail of the job. The home that needed repairs is located in Maryland and I live in Virginia Beach, VA. What a breath of fresh air to be able to hire someone sight unseen and feel secure that he would do a good job and not rip me off. He didn't know me and was secure in knowing that I would pay him once the job was completed. Anyone that hires him will not be disappointed.

He did a great job. Very consciences and clean. I have very high standards and he met them all.
