Wonderful! I got Mark after a neighbor had her roof repaired. He came over the same day, got someone on the roof, examined all areas (beyond what I asked about), and agreed to do the job the next day. I had already had one contractor try to fix the problem without success, and had other estimates asking for more than Mark was charging. He estimated the cost at $250 but I agreed to increase to $325 so that he could include the other areas needing repair as well (which I knew of in advance). The work was done professionally and extremely thoroughly, and I really believe the problem has been resolved. We recently had 2 days of straight rain and we didn't get a drop from the roof!! Mark described how his men pulled off all of the flashing and replaced and relaid all of the joints to try to insure a tight seam (or whatever!). I wasn't home when the work was done and was able to manage the payment without another visit. The most amazing thing about Mark, though, was his personal concern. He was so worried about my elderly neighbor (for whom he was originally working) that he drove her car to the shop with another neighbor (because he realized she was too upset to drive), came to me for help renewing her car registration online, and even helped her in the house with other minor needs. He is truly an Angie's list "medal of honor" winner. In fact, he could be a commercial!! Right now, he is having his men pull up my basement carpeting (the victim of the aforementioned flooding) and is estimating the waterproofing and remodeling of my basement. I was thrilled to learn that his earlier career (before roofing and general remodelling) was in basement waterproofing! He really does do it all! I am thrilled that we had the serendipitous meeting through my neighbor and, after he finishes all the work I can possibly think of, I can't wait to share him with other Angie's list members. Mark's a pro and a gentleman. I have already referred him to other family members and he's working for more folks on our block right now! He's a rare gem in the sometimes sundry world of professional contractors!
