We contacted Mr. Fix it Services along with a couple of other and quot;Handymanand quot; companies to get quotes on our project. Eddie called us back the next day after leaving a message and we could tell right away from his professionalism and politeness on the phone that he was probably the right person for the job. We didn't even get a callback or email response from some of the other and quot;bigand quot; companies we contacted, so Eddie's response time was obviously the best. We described our project to him and he was able to give us a general price range quote over the phone which ended up being pretty accurate (though towards the higher end of the range) to our final price. Eddie made an appointment to come out and look at the window in question (which was after hours AND on a Saturday). He took the time to walk through exactly what he thought he had to do and allowed us to ask a bunch of questions in the process. We arranged to have him come back to start the work the next week. The project took about 3 weeks to fully complete from start to finish, but we knew going in that there was going to have to be and quot;waitand quot; time in between the stages in order to see if the caulking worked. Unfortunately we did not get much rain during the time but used a garden hose a couple of times to try and simulate a downpour on the window. Eddie cut out the damaged drywall, removed the insulation, examined the leak area, treated some of the damaged interior area for some mildew that the water had caused, caulked around the outside of the bay window and a couple windows above it on our upper floor, replaced the insulation, repaired the drywall, and painted the repaired patch. Throughout the process, Eddie was super about accommodating our work and personal schedules. He made most of his trips in the evenings (after 5pm) to accommodate us, and even came on a few weekend days. I can not convey enough how professional and personable he was throughout the process. We have a six year old who constantly talked his ear off the whole time he would be working and he patiently answered each question (and quot;What is that?and quot;, and quot;What does that do?and quot;, and quot;Guess what I did today!and quot;, etc.) and carried on a conversation with my son's stream of consciousness driving the way. Overall we were extremely satisfied with the responsiveness, professionalism, and personality of Eddie and Mr. Fix-it Services, and would not hesitate to use him again in the future.

Mr. Fix-It Services responded promptly to my request for an estimate. Eddie told me when he could complete the work and that was acceptable for my schedule. He was very thorough when conducting the estimate. I had a another company look at the watermarks on the master bedroom ceiling and was told rain water was probably coming through the ridge vent into the attic area when there was blowing winds and heavy rains. He only checked the attic and not the roof. He touched up the watermarks; however, it still leaked. So I was quit happy Eddie did a thorough inspection and determined the cause before he started the work. While on the roof he noticed a small vent on the roof over the kitchen area had loose caulking which I didn't know. So he brought it to my attention and asked if I wanted it repaired and I said yes, proceed. He replaced the flood light off the deck and adjusted senor, timing controls, tested, and aligned lights to cover specific areas of the yard. He is exceptionally sensitive to your time. If he was running just a little late he or his wife called to let you know and when you could expect him to arrive. To sum Mr. Fix-It Services up - he is meticulous about his work, professional, timely, thorough and hard working. I was extremely pleased with this company.

I received no response when trying to contact these people. I suspect it is because I just needed some small jobs done, because the only handyman that responded told me that was probably the case; no sufficient money in it for them to even give me an estimate, let alone show up or do any work. That said, at least a response that they didn't want my business would have been helpful. Relative to what people want to know more about - interior painting and gutter repair are what I needed done. I had a section of plaster wall in my kitchen that was falling apart (the house was built in 1928) that requires someone knowledgeable to fix it (can't just slap drywall stuff on it). I also had an entire section of vertical gutter drain stuff fall off from my second story to first story transition, along with a piece of hanging fascia flashing. It would have been nice to know how they could have helped. While I only had a few little jobs this time around, the age of the house combined with bad weather like this past spring means more repairs in the future, and probably just not (a few) small ones.

I can't say enough about Eddie. He is creative, professional, and hard-working. He can handle a wide variety of tasks (check out that list!), yet is quick to tell us when work doesn't need to be done (e.g., don't need the swingset re-stained yet) or if it would be cheaper to higher someone else for something (e.g., a painter to do the two full rooms we wanted). He's happy to do the work if we ask, but I greatly value his counsel on the best way to get it done. It's taken us a long time to find a reliable, skilled handyman - my only regret is that it's taken me this long to post about him on Angie's List!

Eddie is the best. Everything I threw at him he handled, and all done right the first time. Timely, polite and professional. I can't think of anything negative about the experience !

Eddie was able to repair everything I had on my list, in a timely manner and at a fair price. Would use him again without ANY hesitation.

I couldn’t say enough good things about him. He is on time and calls you back. You can give him any little tiny project that busy people really don’t have the time to do. He is very meticulous and gives a written estimate for everything and keeps it on file. He will be able to pull the price quote even a year or two ago if you call him up. He is really good.

Mr Fix-it did a great job. The man was friendly and personable. He arrived on time and got the job finished quickly and neatly. He was also diligent and completely thorough. I plan to use him again.

Our daughter was extremely happy. We were to pick up the deadbolt and pay at the time of service, but due to the circumstances, my son in law had died at 36 leaving our daughter and two children under 21/2, he picked up the deadbolt and he allowed us to pay by mail. He was prompt, performing the work within two days of our call. He was also very sensitive to our daughters time requirements.

I left a message on Mr Fix-It Services telephone the same day I joined Angie's list. My call was returned that evening by Eddie and I was told that he would be out in around a week for an estimate. He came out and I received a call that afternoon with an estimate and when the job could be done. The job was completed in 4 hours a few days after the estimate. The door and the frame looks better than when we bought the house 12 years ago.

They never called me back.

Eddie was on time, easy to reach for questions, and did wonderful carpentry work. He was up front about jobs, he didn't think he was qualified for. He also cleaned up after himself and was very polite and professional

I LIKED THEIR CONFIDENCE, AND HOW CONCERNED THEY SEEMED TO BE ABOUT HOW I FELT ABOUT THE QUALITY OF THE PROJECT. I HAD COMPARED PRICES, AND FELT THAT THIS WAS MY BEST OPTION. I AM SO PLEASED WITH THEIR WORK THAT I AM ABOUT TO START A NEW PROJECT WITH 'MR FIX IT'.
