Very well, I was pleased with the final product.

We had planned to do this job with a big box store, but we were just not comfortable with how we thought it would go after reading reviews. I Googled and found Cabinet Restoration Company and am so very glad I did! Though the company is based close to PA they came to our home in Rockville, traveling nearly 3 hrs each way every day to do the work. Pete did the contacting and estimating and was very professional and pleasant, and we were confident from reading reviews and seeing photos of projects that the quality would be good. Even so, we were not expecting the fastidious and exacting approach that Steve and his helper, Luke, took to the job, working with precision and seemingly endless energy to make every detail perfect. We are extremely pleased with our results and the pricing and can not give enough credit to the very fine work this team produced. We highly recommend this company!

Excellent job. I am DIYer and did a lot of the kitchen renovation myself. It's often hard to find companies that are willing to work closely with competent DIYers since we ask a lot of questions and we know what quality we want in the final product. These folks were great to work with from start to finish.

They did an excellent job. In particular, I appreciated their willingness to work with me as DIYer (albeit a pretty experienced one) since I did most of the work involved in reconfiguring the layout of the kitchen and moving cabinets, add new face frames to extend wall cabinets to ceiling and to base cabinets to accept drawers. Pete was always able and willing to answer my list of questions by email during the design process and was tolerant of the time it took for my household to arrive at final decisions. Steve, who did the installation, had the highest standards of quality and gave me suggestions and time to make some modifications to the prep work I did that improved the final results. I think CRC is in high demand because of their quality work and so I think one should expect that they may have a longer wait time to project start than some people expect. That was not an issue for me.

What stuck out to me the most? I think it was 2 things. The knowledge of Pete, the owner and the salesman, and it was the work the guys did, it was just absolutely top notch, very well done.

It did go. Once the price was received and the lack of a phone conversation, this led me to invest in a brand new kitchen reno.

We had our 40 year old kitchen cabinets refaced, and a few upgrades added (dividers removed, pull out drawers, crown molding), and they are gorgeous! Pete was great to work with and Rob, the installer, is a craftsman. We highly recommend this company.

Really good work performed in a timely fashion.

Everything went according to plans. The cabinets were ready in the timeframe discussed and the start of the project was to my schedule. Steve , the installer, was always on time, meticulous and thorough. His attention to detail is far beyond other workers that we have had in our house. The workspace was always cleaned up before he left every evening so the appliances were always available to use. The cabinets were completed in the timeframe that Pete gave and we were not hit with any extra hidden costs at the end. The finished product looks fabulous. We love them!

We received a couple of quotes for cabinet restoration, and Pete offered us the best price. We were going to choose laminate cabinets (cheaper), but hardwood cabinets really didn't cost too much more, and they are so much nicer/attractive. Pete helped us pick and choose which services we should/should not go with to help stay within our budget and get the most bang for our buck. We couldn't decide what to do with our existing lazy susan (fix or replace), and I'm glad he counseled us to replace the old unit for just $195. We were very pleased with our installer, Rob, who completed the job (our large kitchen) in just five days. He was very pleasant and trustworthy- we left him home alone 8 hours every day. Customer service was A+. Pete drove out to our house a few times (and it's quite a hike) until we could fully decide which cabinets/style to purchase. He was very kind and knowledgeable, and walked us through each step in the process.

This company was recommended to me by a friend. I had wanted to get my cabinets refaced for many years. My friend used them and had only good things to say about their work. I decided to trust her and not do any research or get other estimates. Pete came out promptly after we called the first time. He listened to what we wanted, answered all our questions and even helped me decide on the finish that would look best in our kitchen. The proposal arrived shortly after his visit. I still had some questions and was considering a couple of other options as to the the finish and design. Pete was very patient with all my questions and he always replied promptly to my emails- even on the weekend. For the actual work: We requested Rob since my friend had said he did a great job. Rob was here most of the week doing the work. He did a great job and really seemed to like doing the work he does. He also answered all my questions and the couple of times I needed to call him, he was easy to get ahold of. I would highly recommend this company if you are going to get yours cabinets refaced.

Our kitchen cabinets were almost 50 years old and in very bad shape. We had originally thought of opting for refacing, but Pete's price for brand new cabinets was very close to what another company charged for refacing only so it was an easy choice to make. We are so glad we did! From the beginning of the project with all of the questions we had, Pete was very responsive and gave us personalized, professional advice that perfectly suited our needs. Our cabinet installer Steve and his helper Tyler were thoroughly meticulous as they assembled and installed the cabinets and hardware and treated our home with great care. It was so refreshing to see a craftsman of Steve's quality who takes pride in his work and who provided us with such a beautiful result. In addition, Steve was able to solve a plumbing problem we had with the hook up of the dishwasher and disposal which ensured the success of the final product. I was skeptical of the refacing process and favored replacing the cabinets. Pete Simonello, owner, ultimately assured me refacing was the better course for us and that he was best supplier for the work. He was right. Pete advised us through the specifying stage, found remedies for special situations, and carefully oversaw the project. Dave, installer does not begin to describe his function, did apply the reface material; and installed new drawers, new hardware, the new cabinets, and new organizers. He worked out innovative solutions to the challenges that inevitably occur in remodeling. They (Dave and his helper) minimized the impact of their work while on site. Their work was notably professional. We are extremely pleased with outcome. The new kitchen is wonderful. We recommend The Cabinet Restoration Company t anyone considering this process, and to those, like me, who are skeptical of the process.

From start to finish we were extremely pleased with the work. Pete answered all our concerns and whenever we thought there was a problem, Pete was on top of it. Kevin was extremely professional and meticulous.

Cabinet Restoration is absolutely one of the best companies and services I have dealt with in the last 10 years. Pete provided an approximate schedule and walked me through the whole process. They kept in touch from the very beginning and kept to the schedule with no delays. It was so refreshing to work with a company of this caliber given the way the majority of small business run today. I would 100% recommend this company to anyone who is in the market for having their cabinets refinished. Pete told me they would look like they came from the factory and they absolutely do. What a WOW factor!

Pete was the first to reach out to us to arrange an immediate appointment and arrived on time. We got quotes from 4 different kitchen remodel companies but only Cabinet Restoration was able to provide us not only the lowest quote but also hard wood doors and drawers. Furthermore they had more design choices, and brought the actual product prior to signing the contract so that we could see what we were getting once we chose the design we wanted. Last but not least, they were the only company who said they would complete the job within 4 weeks of signing the contract and they did. Where the actual work is concerned, there was constant communication on when the work would begin and the prep work we needed to do so that the contractor could come in and immediately start work. While onsite, the contractor provided constant updates and timelines on what work is being done. Work was completed on schedule. Rob, our assigned contractor arrived on time every day he was there and cleaned up the work area prior to him leaving for the day so that I could use the kitchen once he was out. When the work was completed, Rob requested us to do an inspection and provide him a list of items we wanted address. He came in the next morning on time and addressed all the items we listed (which was not many) and completed the work within an hour. Overall a very positive experience from getting a quote to the job completion. .

This is my first and last attempt at using Angie's List to find a contractor. I am cancelling my subscription, because after my experience with this company, I don't know how I could trust reviews for a contractor again. Everything went very well until the installation phase. The company was very responsive and accommodated our tight schedule. We had a great deal of confidence in the company, so much so that we were considering using them for a much larger kitchen renovation in our new home. Things went bad when the installation phase commenced. At 10:00 pm in the evening following the first day of the installation, we found water streaming through the ceiling of our garage below the kitchen, because the installer had severed the water line to the ice maker when he moved our refrigerator. When advised of this problem the next day, the installer was apparently not interested in helping us resolve this problem, so we had to hire a plumber at our own expense to come in and fix the problem. The installation then proceeded throughout the week, and on the last day the installer discovered that he was short two of the cabinet doors. Apparently he had not thought to check the completeness of his order from the factory on the first day of the project. Given our tight timeframe and the need to have a complete kitchen by that weekend, we not unreasonably expected the project to be completed with all of the cabinet doors. The installer sent us out to find matching doors at Lowe's, instead of doing it himself or instead of having someone else at the company come in to deal with the issue and correct the problem. I also noticed upon arriving home that four of the doors were the incorrect size, which was readily apparent and confirmed by a tape measure. We also noticed after the installer left that there were numerous instances throughout the installation where laminate was not properly glued down, causing the covering to be loose or to bubble. This was particularly a problem with the seams, which overall should have been addressed with more care. A large amount of adhesive was left on the outside of one of the large cabinets, which should have been cleaned up the first time. In terms of correcting the problems, the company did install new doors, reimbursed us for the cost of the cabinet purchased at Lowe's, attempted to fix the problems that we identified with the laminate and the adhesive, and provided a modest discount. After living with the cabinets for a few weeks, it is evident that the overall quality of the refacing work is not what we had expected. My bottom line is if you want the job done right the first time, this may not be the company for you. I would have expected more oversight of the installation process and more concern for our situation when problems arose. From now on I am going to stick with contractors I know rather than finding them on a website.

We had a terrific experience with Cabinet Restoration Company. Pete came out to give us an estimate and he was really helpful, being clear about what the company offers and giving advice on some tricky issues with our kitchen. It was so refreshing to have an honest estimate done with great advice, without any drawn-out sales pitch.The materials are quality and the price was right too, so it was an easy choice for us to hire. When it was time to get the job done, Kevin came out and did a meticulous job in raising our cabinets up a bit, adding an additional cabinet, refacing the cabinets and installing hardware. They're just beautiful now.

Our experience with Peter and his company was first rate from the beginning to the end. He scheduled an estimate within a day of our contacting him. He answered all of our questions and explained the process in a very thorough and informative manner. He arrived on time for the estimate. After speaking with him we felt a great deal of confidence that he would be able to deliver the result that we were hoping to achieve. We received the estimate electronically within 48 hours of his visit to our home. We decided to move forward with the project. We sent him our deposit. Approximately a week and a half later, Peter and Ruben arrived at our home and removed the cabinet doors and drawer fronts. They arrived on time, and completed the task in a half hour. Peter informed us that the doors would take one week to refinish. To his word, one week later he and Ruben returned to our home and completed the refinishing of the cabinets themselves, reattached the cabinet doors and drawer fronts and the door knobs and drawer pulls. They competed this portion of the job in a day and a half. They covered the portions of the kitchen that weren't being painted in a meticulous manner. The kitchen was sealed off with a plastic tent. When they were finished, they did a thorough clean up. They double checked that all of the cabinet knobs and drawer pulls were tightly attached and that all of the doors were properly aligned. The final product was spectacular. Our cabinet look like brand new cabinets. One would never know that they were our old cabinets. Throughout the entire process, we were impressed with the professionalism, attention to detail and the quality of the work that was displayed by Peter and Ruben. Pete did fantastic job! He refinished a complete kitchen cabinet system. They were so professional and neat and clean. The whole process took a couple of weeks and they were wonderful the whole time in the house. For the all the type of work he does, I would love for Pete to have a business name that better highlights his expertise.

At the outset, I did not use this provide for any service, so I cannot judge the quality of their work. What I can judge is their complete unresponsiveness to emails and phone calls. I began contacting Pete Simonello at the beginning of the week of July 4. I did not receive any response until July 3, at which time he told me that they were a small family business and were closed that week. It would have been nice if they had provided this information on their website, on a phone message, or in an auto-response email. Pete indicated that he would call me back on July 7. He never did. After waiting several days, I called him, him and left a message and again, no response. He finally got back to me a few days later and indicated that he would need to check his schedule to do an estimate. He never called back. I have left several messages over the last twp weeks, but he has not responded. I have given up on this company. If they cannot be trusted to even respond to a call, this creates a serious question as to how they conduct business. What if there is a problem the the service and the materials? How long will it take them to correct the problem? I think responsiveness to a client is respectful and is a key to a start of a good working relationship. With regard to this, Pete stinks. He and his company need to rethink how they treat potential customers.

It went great! Pete, the owner, came out with a huge selection of finishes, glazes and door styles. He was able to give good advice on what would work best for our needs and budget. His company does restoration work, but our cabinets were not worthy of anything but a trash heap. Pete was great at communicating with us throughout the process from select to install which involved quite a few e-mails. His installer Rob was absolutely fantastic. Timely, professional and able to install cabinets that were level and perfect in every way. It is nice to have an installer who is also a master carpenter and also can be trusted in my house without question. Only advice is you may want to budget for new lighting, these beautiful cabinets warranted LED under mount and above lighting. The only issue Rob was kind enough to install our new microwave, but didn't want to hook up electric due to questionable wiring from previous install. Our electrician was in house and able to fix.

I am completely thrilled with the work product from Cabinet Restoration. As soon as I called, Pete scheduled an appointment, came out for a consultation and I had an estimate in my hands within days. Every time I asked a question via voice mail or email, Pete responded within 24 hrs. His price was also nearly $7,000 cheaper than one of his competitors. When the project began, Steve did the entire installation. Steve is an extremely skilled woodworker and he did an amazing job. He is without doubt a perfectionist. He considered every detail. Steve also kept his workspace completely isolated so that mess did not spread through the house, and he cleaned up every evening before he left. The result: my kitchen looks amazing! People can't believe the cabinets were refaced. If you're looking for an honest company that provides top notch service and does amazing carpentry work - hire these guys! I highly recommend them.

The finished product is really quite beautiful. It?s still a nice surprise to see the cabinets each morning and to enjoy the new look. Steve,conducted the entire installation, was a true craftsman and a real gentleman. He was a pleasure to work with and to get to know. Pete, our point of contact, provided ongoing communication and quick resolution of questions throughout this process. His design suggestions added some great features to the new look. These folks do exactly what they promise, and the results are exceptional.

Peter and his team refinished my kitchen cabinets about 9 months ago, but I recently had to downsize to a smaller refrigerator when my 48 inch built in refrigerator stopped working. I got a carpenter to custom build side panels and an overhead wine rack to fill in around my new 36 inch refrigerator. Peter offered to spray paint the pieces in the same finish as they had done my cabinets if I delivered them to the shop and picked them up. They came out exactly like the cabinets and they look great. Everything looks like an original finish.
