They did a great job. Very responsive on the front end with a visit and bid, and, in fact, proactive on calling to come do the work. Amy in the office is lovely and professional. Pat and his team on the ground were terrific from beginning to end. They reached out to the neighbors to protect their property and consult them (VERY much appreciated). They couldn't have been more professional and polite. Pat climbed and trimmed with skill and care. The work was done well and efficiently and the clean-up was extremely thorough. The only thing left is to come back for the stump. Some neighbors have opined that I paid too much - it's possible, I don't know as I've never contracted this kind of work before. I was in the process of getting another bid and awaiting a callback from the other company, when C2 called to schedule the work. In my Nyquil induced confusion, I made the appointment (for what I thought was another bid). Surprise! Anyway, done is good, and done well is great. I gave them an 'A' for price because I honestly don't know, and it seemed unfair to give a lesser grade based on kibitzing neighbors.

C2 Crane & Tree Service was fine. They did good work. The cleaned up after themselves and took everything away.

I purchased a big deal for C2 Crane & Tree Service. There were no additional charges. This was the first time I've used the company. I called when the guy came so I could come out to make sure that we understood each other. But instead, they had him call when he was done. A couple of things weren't exactly the way I expected because they were using some sort of trade window and they assumed that they didn't have to define that for me. They used the phrase that I don't know exactly what that meant. The work met my expectations pretty much. It wasn't perfect but it was okay. I just thought that if I had pointed to a tree and said "This one needs some work," for instance that the low branches are hanging over the sidewalk. They should also consider that tree removed because there were dead things that were in that tree and they didn't. They said that well, it wasn't in the language of their proposal. But, they did come back out and fix it.

Very prompt assessment as we were concerned about stability of remaining trunk of tree. Arranged for work, came promptly a few days later and did very professional job. Highly recommended.

After completing the tree removal, they cleaned up the debrie from the yard. They also filled in any holes left by their equipment with soil.

I had gotten an estimate from C2 the prior summer, yet had decided to hold off on removing the tree (C2 had removed my neighbor's tree and gave me a verbal estimate at the time while they were out on my neighbor's site). I then received an estimate in March 2013 in my mailbox from the owner, Chris, as they were out in my neighborhood removing another neighbor's tree. It was lower than any estimate I'd received in the prior summer (including C2), and Chris mentioned on the paperwork that it was an off-season price, so we went with it. We didn't go through another round of estimates because we knew this would be the best one and C2 was highly recommended by my neighbor. Scheduling was easy, they came out exactly when they said and were done with the tree, including the hauling in probably 2 hours. They just showed up and started cutting, no one knocked and said they were here or anything (though maybe this was because it was during a normal work day and often they don't expect homeowner's to be home? Not sure). Anyway once they were done they knocked and said they were done, I paid, and they were out of there. I asked about the stump removal and they said someone would be out within 10 days. As they said, someone indeed showed up about 7 days later and took care of the stump. A 65' spruce sure leaves a ton of wood chips, but we went ahead and have begun using it as mulch around the house, with the plans to plant grass seed once we've used it all up. Overall a painless experience and would recommend/use C2 again in the future.

The entire process was painful. It took forever to get date confirmations once we received our quotes. Once we had a date set, the team arrived half way through the day when they were supposed to be here first thing in the morning, which meant they had to come back a second day to finish the job. In addition, the crew foreman was very unprofessional - to the point of being rude about their clean up obligations. We still had a third tree that they were going to remove and the actual tree removal was expertly done, so I called to advise of my dissatisfaction and the management team was very responsive. So, we gave them a second chance to remove our third tree. The crew was on time, professional and fantastic to work with... until one of the crew members took out our Fios line with the bucket up on the bulldozer? They were also scheduled to remove two of our three stumps. The stump remover broke several times on several different days and took months just to get half of one stump out. The final time I allowed them on my property, the guy started to remove the stump, the tool broke AGAIN, and he left the job with a quarter removed and no communication. Several weeks later, after we advised them that we had seeding scheduled, another guy showed up, without notice, and just began unloaded the grinder. I advised him that we had just had the yard seeded and that he could not perform the job. I have not heard from them since.

The crane was extreme large so they had to set it up between my drive way and my neighbors. They had told me ahead of time so that I was able to ask my neighbors for permission. All the workers were extremely conscious of safety measures, and the crane operator was very skilled. Except for the time the man who worked high in the tree got sick, they worked steadily and made sure everything was in good order at the end. They also removed a broken limb of my tree in the front yard.

One window on the second floor was broken and the stump of the tree was not removed as stated in the contract with an additional cost of sixty five dollars which was paid. I received one phone call promising to complete the work; however, this never happened. Messages were left by me to the company amd a letter was also sent to the company, but there was no response.

The people were fine and the work was done well. It took a very long time to schedule the estimate and get the work done. There was one no show on an estimate appt. I did not think it was a bargain for that total price.

I left work early to be there when trimming was being done but they were almost done when I arrived home. Very professional job & cleanup was excellent.

Great work. great staff. The owner was extremely knowledgeable and he was there the whole job from start to finish. He is a hands on owner. I will have them back whenever we need tree services.

Having taken advantage of an Angie's list deal. We certainly expected them to be very busy considering the offer, so expected delays in getting back to us. After playing phone tag a couple of times we managed to schedule an appointment to review our needs. The appointment went well and my wife felt comfortable with there knowledge an explanation of what they planned to do. When we got ready to schedule a day for the service to be performed, we had to call several times, including leaving voice mails. Eventually a date was scheduled. The day of the appointment it was raining, I expected a re-schedule and we did but not until we received a call a couple of hours after we expected them to be at our house. We re-scheduled and the day of the new appointment we heard nothing from them and they did not show up. We attempted to leave a message with their voicemail and it was full this was on Jan. 23rd 2013. Very disappointed as they seemed knowledgeable and friendly.

They did a good job, cleaned up well afterwards. I thought the cost was a little high because they had taken down 10 large Norway spruce for me a year ago. I can't remember how much that cost, but it was nowhere near $400 a tree. I thinnk it was closer to $200 a tree. The price quoted for me for this job was $600, so with the coupon it cost me $400. That seemed a little high. I will be cautious about buying a coupon in the future unless I get an estimate first.

They first sent out someone to give me an estimate. I thought they were going to do an estimate for $400.00 as the deal states. When I got the estimate it was for $900.00. I gave them the go ahead to do the work for the $900.00 estimate. They came out, did the work, cleaned up after themselves. The other surprise was I thought I could pay with a credit card but they said because it was a promotion I had to pay in cash. I had to leave my house, go to the bank, and withdraw cash to pay them. They didn't give me a receipt. They also took my rake when they left.

Gentlemen were very efficient and work went well. Tree is approximately 80years old and is in declining condition. Work was scheduled quickly and job performed in time agreed upon.

Fairly well. They showed a haste to finish, and consequently not everything I wanted taken care of (pruning trees near the house) was taken care of. What they did, they did reasonably well. They did not do everything requested, complaining that they did not bring the right tools (!) to prune the trees encroaching on my house..

Men arrived somewhat late and I thought mabe they were not coming. Not a problem but they could have called ahead. They brought excellent equipment - a cherry picker and shredder. Told the man in charge what I wanted and he said that was an extreme trim and original estimate was to take off 1/3 of tree. Told him that I was not told when the estimate appointment was to be so I was not home when it was done. I showed him what I wanted trimed and he said ok but it would be an extra charge and I would have to sign a statement saying they were not responsible if the tree died. I agreed and they proceeded with the trim doing a great job with what they did trim. Man in charge said they were finished and I asked what about the fuller trim we had discussed. He said he didn't want to kill the tree and orginal estimate was for 1/3 trim? I paid him the extra fee since they did trim a little more than 1/3 but not what we had discussed earlier and he still wanted me to sign the statement about if the tree died? I showed him one of the trees I had cut down in the backyard and said you cannot kill these trees. I had even girdeled 2/3 of the stump and it still sends out health branches on the 1/3 that I did not girdle which I trim twice a year as a small privacy area around or glider seat. Would have given 4+ rating but since they did not do the full trim I cannot. A neighbor suggested that you spray paint the branches you want trimmed but I did specifically indicate to the man in charge what branches I wanted trimmed.

The pruning was fine. The problem was with scheduling. We bought a deal through Angie's list. we repeatedly called them. It was very difficult to get them to come out. This was after the derecho, but even accounting for that it was like pulling teeth.

The estimator came out and looked at the property. We identified the dead tree I wanted removed and also several trees damaged by the summer derecho. They came out later, did all the work, cut the dead tree up for firewood and removed all their trash. They were great

C2 Crane Service did schedule an earlier service date, however due to a job being larger than expected they were a no show. A representative did call later to apologize and I rescheduled a much later date. No one called to confirm the later appointment, so I was heading out as they started the work. When I returned home, I was surprised to see a lot of branches left. Did not completely clear the fence line as requested. The workers were nice enough, but they only did an average job. I did change some of the work originally quoted, since one of the tree removals belonged to my neighbor. Overall, I would use the company again, however, would make sure I was home at time of service.

They advised us on the extent of work we needed, were efficient, fast, cleaned up well.

Everything every well. They ground the stumps and filled in the holes. They did a great job.

Overall I was very pleased with the work and the experience. The gentleman who came out and gave me the estimate was very nice. Because I had so much work, I was given the price for a day's work rather than everything being priced individually which would have cost more. I know this for a fact because two other companies gave me an estimate based on each tree and they were both more than double the price I paid. One company gave me an estimate that was $500 cheaper but he didn't call me back when I wanted to set up the time for him to come out and perform the work. He might have been doing work caused by the hurricane but he still should have called back. I also wanted the work to be done as soon as possible and C2 Crane fit me in and met my goal. The only two negatives is that they didn't always call me back when I left a message and they were late for the appointment to discuss the estimate. But these were far outweighed by everything else that was good.
