It was very good. I thought they were very trustworthy. They started the job while we were away, and they did an excellent job. I trusted them completely.

They were reliable, completely on time and were within the budget. They were very responsive to my questions, needs and concerns.

This was a huge project that ran into a number of unexpected issues - the dimensions for the ovens that were provided by the manufacturer were incorrect; the exhaust system for the kitchen required a roof mount; one of the cabinets did not fit properly, our floors required leveling in spots, our first option for the bookshelves did not work out as expected. Throughout all of this, Hunter took the time to explain what corrections needed to be made and what our options were. He was more than fair in dealing with the cost of these changes - keeping us very close to our original estimate. Even more amazing was the fact that the project finished on schedule. Lance, our carpenter, was polite, efficient, creative and extremely talented. More importantly, he took good care of our dog while he was on site. Hunter's suppliers offered high quality products. Without a doubt, we would use Renaissance again.

Hunter was a very reliable contractor. He always returned my phone calls or e-mails in a very timely manner. He was very prompt for appointments, etc. He told me what was happening for that day and for the days to come. If I ever had a problem, he took care of it or we discussed it. When he came in to see the kitchen for the first time, he immediately gave us his ideas on ways to remodel it. His carpenters were very friendly and did great work. We were very satisfied working with this company, and we are very happy with the end result of our kitchen.

We hired Renaissance based on Hunter's repeated assurance that he would personally manage all aspects of the project. Instead, on day 7 of the project he went on a vacation abroad and was completely unreachable,leaving no one in charge and providing no written schedule or contact information for the subcontractors. Our custom-ordered glass tile was installed crookedly; the plumbers had to be called back 3 times to install the toilet properly and cracked some of the glass tile; the dry wall installer cracked our $200 mirror, left gloppy caulk that had to be replaced, scraped up the newly painted walls, fixed a loose faucet with caulk (instead of tightening it); patched pinholes in the white tile grout with brown grout; and treated us as an inconvenience. The finished work was sloppy. A 2 week project wound up taking 4 weeks. Upon Hunter's return, we received little apology, a lot of excuses and not one break for taking on the project management role we thought we were paying him for

Experience was GREAT! This was the first time for Hunter to perform the job that we wanted...and it hit less problems than anticipated. The workers were wonderful! The were very skilled and I was impressed how they cleaned up at the end of the day...limiting the spread of dust due to the destruction of plaster walls.
