We are so pleased with our new carpet. It is beautiful and compliments our wood floors and inherited oriental rug. When we were looking for stairway, dining room and entry way carpets, we did not want to compete with the rug that we already had. We saw many busy runners with borders that clashed with what we had. When we met Danielle and explained our problem, she suggested buying a subtle patterned carpet that we could have cut to the sizes we needed and having them bound. It was a great idea and one we would never have thought of doing. With a picture of our rug, she recommended a dark blue carpet with a subtle beige design. It is perfect! We are so happy with the results. We want to thank her for her vision and for the excellent service we again received from Flooring America.

This is a very nice company. They couldn't locate the hardwood flooring I was looking for, so I couldn't use them. The owner took his time to help me on all occasions. I have been very pleased with this company and would recommend them. Unfortunately, I couldn't use them for this project because they couldn't get hardwood flooring to match my cabinets.

Cathy Coleman, flooring consultant, was great. She spent all the time I needed to pick out the perfect ceramic tile, wall bull nose, threshold and grout. We actually looked at every display in the store. She ordered all the items I needed and it came in about three weeks later. I was called when the products were in the Bay area. Another salesman walked me back to the Bay area. This is when the service quality dropped. First, the workers couldn't find my order. Then one of them yelled at me to come to the door area. He didn't use my name and was disrespectful. I was told to back up my car and a younger guy put the items in my car. The Bay Door men need a course in CUSTOMER SERVICE. Thank you. The tile is beautiful and so easy to care for. I am very pleased with my choice.

Glen arrived as scheduled and completed the installation in about 3-4 hours. He was polite, professional and helpful (asked him some questions about bedroom flooring, etc.) Basement room looks great - it's been about 2 months and have had no problems with the carpet.

Boyd's salesperson - Randi - was helpful. The person at Boyd's that scheduled the flooring person to do the work was not very helpful (I do not remember her name) - I ended up contacting the flooring person directly to schedule. Initially scheduled the work to be done a few days earlier and made arrangements to be home for this. When he (Wilson) did not show up, I called him. He told me he did not have it on his schedule and he was in Virginia and could not make it that day. I called the person at Boyd's to see if there was someone else they could send out to do the work. She told me Wilson is the only harwood person they use. She was not very helpful and it was determined the best way to reschedule was for me to contact Wilson directly. I made arrangements to be home on a different day and rescheduled. Wilson came as planned. He said it would not be a problem matching the stain to the already refinished harwood hallway. The work was completed and the color looked good - he said it would look different in a day or two, but would match . I could not get into the room to really check out the work, but noticed the baseboards were discolored. He implied that these would clean up ok. After the floors dried, I tried to clean the baseboards, but found that they were permanently stained. I called Boyd's/Randi about getting them repainted. She promptly called me back and said they would reimburse me for the cost to repaint, which they did immediately after I submitted the invoice. Several days later - after moving furniture into the room - I noticed the stain color did not match. I would uses Boyd's again for carpeting, but would not recommend them for hardwoods.

Everything went great. Very professional, punctual. Nancy was very helpful in determining the type of carpet I needed in a high traffic area. I told her I really wanted to have the carpet installed before the holidays, and that was no problem. The installer did a great job and was very friendly and professional. I would definitely recommend this company and I would use them again.

With the refinishers, there were several no shows - at least three weeks of no shows before they finally got started and then more no shows or hours late. (supposed to arrive at 3 pm and show up at 6pm when we were leaving for dinner - so no work that day since no one was home) They were messy and didn't seem to know what they were doing - the sanding job was uneven and they got stain over many other surfaces. I am so sorry that we didn't hire someone ourselves instead of trusting Jim Boyd to sub out this work. The carpet install took a while to schedule as well. The carpet is nice/good quality and it was installed well. The whole project took much longer than expected.

We hired Jim Boyd's Flooring America to install a Naturcor vinyl floor in our basement. We chose this company based on their A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. The salesman, Roger, came to the house himself to take the measurements. The initial quote was close to $8500, but once they honored my coupon and suggested I use a remnant of flooring for the laundry room, we were able to take about $1000 off the original estimate. Justin and his team came to install the floor right on schedule. We were surprised to find two layers of old tiles under the carpet in one room. However, Justin and his team very carefully removed the old tiles, skim coated about 1/2 of the basement and laid down the vinyl floor. The Naturcor itself has held up very well. My only issue with it is its tendency to bubble in places. We learned the hard way by putting a rolling chair over it. The floor began to form air pockets underneath the desk chair. We had to put down a floor protection mat under the chair. The floor is virtually waterproof and very easy to maintain. We were very satisfied with everything this company offered from start to finish.

After an initial scheduling glitch the job went very well; the floors look great, basement and wood upstairs. Very satisfied I called the company to check the stairs, workman returned next day to apply another coat. very satisfied, the company was very responsive and positive when I called. I highly recommend the company

It's a company I've used before. It's a local company and I've had good success with them in the past. Everything went well.

The saleswoman was very helpful. The showroom was well organized and it seemed like they had a lot of options for what we were looking for. They were comparable in price to other businesses like theirs, but in comparison to Lumber Liquidators where we ended up getting our floors, they just didn't compare in price.

It was excellent. They were prompt and efficient. They did a great job of laying it. We were satisfied with their service.

I was extremely pleased with Jim Boyd's. The servicemen arrived on time, were extremely polite, and did a great job with the installation. The two carpet installers were very competent and answered all of my questions.

Although the price was a little high, we did get a coupon off of Angie s list for them and they did an excellent job of installing our carpet. The men that came were professional and I would use them again if and when I have to.

Well, the salesman showed up 1 hour late, but at least he showed up. I called the store when he was 30 minutes late and asked if he was planning on showing up at all. They had no idea what I was talking about until I talked to 3 different people regarding the estimate appointment. Finally the company that Floor America contracts to showed up, and the salesman was very knowledgeable and friendly. He took some notes and went on his way. Before he left, I requested that the sooner he gets me the estimate, the better since I was looking to make a decision on the job within the next 4 days. It's been 4 days and I haven't received the estimate yet. I called Floor America on the 3rd day after the estimate, and they had not received it but 'guaranteed'' I would have it by the end of the day. Right. I chose not to go with them for obvious reasons.

They were decent enough with the bulk of the work (ie, the floor is generally nice looking) but extremely unprofessional when it came to finishing the details (transition pieces, repair to scratched or very unprofessional work areas, etc) and overall project management. I would not recommend this company for this type of work. Despite having a few nice employees, they have overall been a huge chore to work with and generally seem less professional than they should, given the cost.

The job was expensive, but needed. I could have probably done it more cheaply by choosing cheaper tile (although the tile was not of the highest quality, but good), but I wanted it to look inviting and practical. The subcontractor who did the work was the best!! He was polite, courteous, and respectful. In fact, my whole interaction with the company and their representatives was very, very positive. They were timely and efficient. Some house jobs are very painful because of the cost. The experience was a lot less painful than it could have been because of the good experience.

Let me say in all fairness that the floor is really beautiful and I like it. The service, however, was bad to lousy. No.1 - made appointment, no one showed and did not call me. I had taken off from work and had to call them to find out that it was not going to happen that day. No.2 - rescheduled the work and installer came with another person , not working on the job, and asked if they could be in my home while he worked - I said no. He left. Another person came and removed carpet, but, did not install new floor until next day, a Sunday. No. 3 - had to return one last time to install finishing strips and installer decided to tuck my CATV cable under them and nail into it. I had to replace cabling. Overall problem - they use subcontractors for installs and have no control over what they do. Recommend - buy flooring there, but seek installation somewhere else.

They were on time, polite and gave good service.

THE STORE HAD A GOOD SELECTION OF TILE TO CHOOSE FROM AT REASONABLE PRICES. THE ESTIMATE FOR INSTALLATION WAS GIVEN AT THE STORE, BUT AS SOON AS THE INSTALLER LOOKED IN THE BATHROOM, HE SAW THAT THE SUB-FLOORING NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THIS COST AN EXTRA $100. THE TILE INSTALLATION WAS VERY WELL DONE.

GREAT SELECTION OF PRODUCT, THE ESTIMATE WAS VERY CLOSE TO THE FINAL PRICE. THE TIME FRAME WAS RIGHT ON. THE INSTALLERS WERE TERRIFIC, AND VERY EFFICIENT.

EVERYTHING WAS TIMELY AND PROFESSIONAL. THE WORKERS ARRIVED ON TIME AND WERE NEAT AND COURTEOUS. THE CARPETING LOOKS GREAT AND YOU CAN HARDLY SEE ANY OF THE SEAMS. THE SALES PEOPLE AT THE STORE WERE PLEASANT TO WORK WITH, I DID NOT FEEL RUSHED AT ALL TO MAKE MY DECISION.
