The installation went very well. The technician was very personable and cleaned up after the job.

Service and technician were great. It took longer to install the new fan than expected because the wiring harness for the light kit and fan was not making proper contact. Initially thought it was defective fan, but it turned out the connection was not seated properly. All was troubleshot, it just took longer than expected

He did a great job. Very respectful, in and out with no hassle. Would definitely recommend.

I contacted Clinton Electirc via e-mail and received a phone call within the hour. A mutally agreed upon date was set for the service. The technician arrived on time, quickly gave me an estimate and suggestions on installation of two ceiling fans in adjacent bedrooms. His name was Jeffrey Katz and he was totally experienced and efficient. The fans were installed with light fixtures and remote control programming. There was no mess to clean up. He covered the furniture and carpets with a tarp. He also fixed an electrical problem we had been having with a light switch. It was a loose wire, but was beyond my comfort level to fix. He took care of it. Shortly after he left I received a call from the company asking if everything was done to my satisfaction. In today's world where nothing goes the way you hope it will, this was a totally wonderful surprise. I would call Clinton Electric for any electrical needs we might have. They are the best. Couldn't ask for a better electrician than Jeffrey Katz or Clinton Electric. Thank you!

Michael, the sales person, was very polite and answered our questions about automatic standby generators. He guided us in choosing the correct "size" for our household needs and for our existing meter and gas line. I am a professional horticulturist and avid gardener. The generator would have to go on the side of our house that has our vegetable garden, and I was concerned with preserving as much "real estate" for the garden as possible (our side yard is very narrow), given that the generator would have to go in that location. Michael was great in working with us on this issue of the ultimate placement of the generator, and never made me feel like my concerns with the garden were "off the wall". He gave us several options that worked with existing code, and we chose what worked best for that area and our interests. The installation went relatively smoothly. I would say it took about a month to have everything completed. This included the installation of the generator and new circuit panel, installation of a new meter (by the utility company), the plumbing aspect, and the inspections by the county. The county did not pass one of the components on the first inspection. I called Clinton Electric, and they sent someone out within the next day or two to remedy the issue and they called the county for re-inspection. The technician also showed me how to read the diagnostics on the generator panel and talked me through it, so I could check the "run" hours, etc. He also showed me the new circuit panel and what appliances/lights were on the new panel and how that all worked. As a testament to good customer service, here is another part of the story. A few months later, in April, we had high temps near 90 degrees. When we went to turn on our AC, we found that the unit was not working. We have a home policy with another company for our furnace and AC systems and so we called them at first to see if the AC unit had finally gone up. That company's tech came out and found that there was no power hook-up to our AC, and that may have happened when the generator was installed. So, we called Clinton Electric to let them know of the situation. I also sent Michael and email as well. Clinton Electric offered to pay for the cost of the other company's technician coming out, after Clinton Electric's technician found that there was a loose wire to the power source for the AC. He fixed it and all is well. They sent an apology letter (as well as a follow-up phone call to make sure we were satisfied with the tech's service) and a coupon off future services. All in all, this company was pleasant to work with, answered all our questions, and were very quick to respond to issues. We will definitely be hiring Clinton Electric Company for any future electrical work.

The repairman showed up on time. He explained costs up front and prices were fair. He not only repaired it, but showed us options to improve the situation for the future. Very professional and pleasant to deal with. I had canceled another electrician after they failed to keep an appointment and wanted to reschedule for a week later. Clinton Electric came out the next day. I won't hesitate to call them next time as well.

I asked Clinton Electric for an estimate for a service upgrade and replacing the knob and tube in a house I recently purchased. They originally came out for the estimate before I owned the home, I had the key but it was not working. The estimator was very understanding and said I could reschedule. I rescheduled for a few days later, when I officially owned the house. The estimator looked around and listened to what I wanted done. I explained to him that although there was still knob and tube in the house it was mostly from ceiling lights to light switches. The home inspector and another electrician I had out for an estimate had told me that most of the wiring to outlets on both the 1st and 2nd floor had been updated. The estimator said he did not believe that the 2nd floor outlets had been updated because ?it is not commonly done.? I reiterated many times that the inspector did not check all of the outlets but the ones that he did check had been updated. I asked the estimator if he would check an outlet or two on the 2nd floor but he said ?as soon as I touch tools I have to charge you.? I understand that it would have been slightly more work to double check what the inspector told me but I felt it was necessary to get an accurate estimate for the knob and tube replacement. The estimator suggested that I could pull an outlet or two out and send him a photo of it later. Clinton sent me an estimate a few days later, the estimate was significantly more than other estimates I received. But the reason I did not hire them was because the estimate could not possibly be correct because it included all the wiring to the second floor outlets when it was not needed. The ?as soon as I touch tools I have to charge you? comment ended the estimate on a bad note with virtually no chance of me hiring Clinton. The electrician I did hire checked all the outlets on the 2nd floor and found that they had been updated, just as the inspector said.

Technician arrived on time. Replacing of kitchen ceiling fan was completed in a timely manner. Clean-up was included in work. Additional work was completed on replacing an attic fan. Work also completed in a professional and timely manner. Technician answered all questions, even when stopped as he was about to drive away from the house. Thank you.

I made an appointment to be the first appointment of the day, they said the worker would arrive between 0730 and 0800. I stayed home to meet him, but when no one showed by 0755 I called. I said I was calling to confirm my appointment. The person that answered said "oh, he got called into a meeting this morning." No apology, no estimated time of arrival, no IDEA when the meeting was going to be over. This company installs fairly expensive equipment but apparently does not need the business. When asked if I wanted to reschedule, I said "absolutely...not!"

Overall everything was good. Initially it was difficult in getting them to call us back to give us an estimate on the job. We are very satisfied with the work they did. Very professional and nice.

They were very courteous, helpful and did a good job. I would definitely recommend them. The price was fair.

Purchased the super deal from Angie list for a new ceiling fan installation few weeks ago since one of my ceiling fan did not work anymore. I contacted CLINTON ELECTRIC few days later and the schedule went very easy and they had me scheduled on the next day. When Steve came on time on 7/17, he apologized because he could not arrive earlier. It might not be a very big deal but it did show what kind of service they want to provide. I really appreciate Steve made every moves very carefully since the ceiling fan is to be installed in the main bedroom. The entire process took about an hour. He allowed me to watch him installed it and also taught/answered all the questions I had. I am really happy with their service and will hire them again in the future.

He did the work for $75, just as the angie's list coupon indicated he would, and he did it in quick order. He was very neat and professional.

One of my bathroom outlets stopped working so I figured while I was getting that repaired, I'd go ahead and have two ceiling fans installed at the same time. When I called to get information, I thought I was calling "ElectricTech" but they answered the phone "Clinton Electric". He quickly explained that Clinton Electric was the parent company and that ElectricTech had been the name they used for their residential division, but they were merging the two division into just the Clinton Electric name, and that it was a recent change so it wasn't unusual for people to be confused! He then asked plenty of questions about the outlet to make sure it wasn't something I could reset myself, which I appreciated! Then he asked questions about where the ceiling fans would be installed, like how high the ceilings were, and were they vaulted, and was there any other light fixture there now - very thorough! He worked with my work schedule to set the appointment which was nice and gave me a two hour window of time. Considering that most companies give four or eight hour windows, I thought that was great! On the day of my appointment, the office called me to let me know the technician was on his way and would be here in a half hour - and that's exactly when he arrived - on time! He was well dressed and neat and very friendly - he even put booties on his shoes before he came in the house so he didn't track dirt in. He was very professional and took his time to explain how he was troubleshooting the outlet and what he found. Once that was fixed, he went about installing the ceiling fans. One was in an upstairs bedroom and one was in the living room. I expected a huge mess and holes in the walls where he had to run the wire, but... there was none (except for where they mounted the fans in the ceiling, of course). He fished the wires through the walls somehow (I still haven't figured that out) and got my fans up and working wonderfully. Before he left he showed me how to operate the fan and the remote control and made sure I was happy with the service. All in all, it went more smoothly than I could have ever expected and the price was less than what another company quoted me. I will definitely use Clinton Electric again and will recommend them to everyone I know.

the initial instillation went fine as this work requires both plumbing and electrical work. After the project was complete a man in a BGE truck came in and said our gas line needed to be replaced. He was not a BGE employee but a contractor for them. The additional cost would have been 4500 dollars. Thus began months of negotiations with electrical and plumbing contractor who assured us prior to installation our gas line would support the contractor. In the end the project was resolved in our favor with a new gas meter installed by BGE and modifications to the generator to make it more efficient. I would urge any one planning on installing a generator to resolve any gas line issues up front to avoid the predatory practice of BGE subcontractors

Electrician showed up when promised, was very knowledgeable and professional, explained what he found and that he'd have to get a certain part and return the next day. There was a schedule conflict and they called a few hours before to reschedule (which is nice, as opposed to just not showing up!). The electrician returned when promised, and fixed the problem. The bill was as estimated. I guess they go by a flat rate, but also on their site they mention itemized costs, and if you calculate based on that (plus travel for both times) the flat rate was cheaper than if they had itemized everything. So, it was a good deal and I would certainly use them again.

He asked if I wanted the fan painted black -- it would look better against the black shingles. He covered the area in the yard where he painted. After removing the old fan he installed a new one. The technician advised that he sealed around the fan several times to prevent leakage. He cleaned up and removed all debris, closed the pull down stairs from the attic and turned out all the lights. He worked quickly, was very respectful and tidy.
