They sent 2 men, and they spent more than 2 hours. They were extra careful. Most people rush right through a job like this. I appreciate the initiative they showed. They even gave me a discount on the part I needed.

I've used Chason for several years, after they installed my hvac. I've found their prices to be competitive, the service to be consitently professional and prompt and the company very easy to deal with. I recommend them.

When running A/C I normally have thermostat programmed pretty high. I also leave the fan running 24/7 as Chason suggested when A/C was first installed. Typically when I walk in, the house feels cool, except last night. The A/C was not working. Waited until 6:00 AM and called Chason. I had immediate pick-up, not by machine but by a human. She is their off hours answering service and noted the problem, details, etc. She indicated they would call when they got to office at 7:30 AM. Brian called about 7:20 AM (yes, that was before expected). He would have someone out in the afternoon. Jim arrived when promised and I told him what I had experienced. He immediately went to the unit, opened it up and quickly found the cause, then replaced the capacitor. My A/C was back running. As he left he reminded me both my gate and basement doors were unlocked. I love Chason! They always have someone to speak with and everyone provides outstanding service. They are knowledgeable, efficient, professional and friendly. I am so gad I have my A/C and furnace policy with them. They have always provided exceptional service.

We have used them forever and they are really good. They do our service on a regular basis since we have annual contracts with them. We have used them since we bought our house about 15 years ago. The quality and responsiveness they provide is very good.

Called 2 days before the service after hours after discovering the air conditioner was not cooling and water leaking out of the unit. The technician called the Service Manager who said it didn't look good for an appointment the next day, but was told to call at 7:30am. Spoke to the Service Manager and said I was told to call first thing in the morning. Was advised no appointments available until the next day. I stated that Chason had repaired the drain pipe previously and it's leaking again and asked if they could fit me in since I'd be working from home the next day. The Service Manager was quite rude and asked if he should bump me ahead of others. Not what I asked, I asked to be fit in. There is a way to talk to people in providing customer service. The previous Service Manager was completely the opposite. Subsequent calls to this Service Manager resulted in the same sarcastic and condescending behavior. This is why the rating is a B and not an A. I will continue to use this provider but the next time I will call and ask for the owner of Chason to complain about this Service Manager. The work was done and fixed the problem and I bought the Cooling Service Plan to prevent any future issues with the A/C.

Having received two estimates already I was familiar with the routine. The reps would walk through the house looking and measuring all the baseboard heaters in each room. I understood this was the most accurateway of establishing an appropriate size for the new system. From my own investigation I learned you did not want someone to use the old system as the only measure of appropriate size besides my system had been installed in 1957 and a new system would be quite different. Chason reps spent their time downstairs where the boiler was located, did not check out the rest of the house set-up nor ask me questions other than did I want to move the new system closer to the wall. They asked about the other companies who had given me estimates. I got the impression that they were either not that interested in the job or felt I had already made up my mind and were only going through the motions. I received an e-mail estimate but did not feel comfortable with the limited information I had been given about my options. I did not choose to use Chason services because I did not feel they were willing to give me their time to educate or discuss options for systems.

Really had a great experience with Chason. This was one of the repairs to our home I was dreading, but everything went very smoothly. Rob came and inspected our home and made a recommendation on what size unit would be efficient for us. I thought the price was very reasonable. The unit he recommended is perfect for our house. I found the company to be very knowledgable and completely professional. I plan to keep using them for all our heat and air conditioning needs.

We recently had a problem with our AC not cooling on Friday afternoon of the July 4th weekend. Chason came out within an hour of our call and determined the unit was low on refrigerant. They added refrigerant and it worked great until sunday afternoon when the same problem occurred. Once again they came out promptly and concluded that there was a probable major leak (location was not immediately evident ... we have tubing behind finished walls etc) that they could not locate and repair until after the holiday weekend.On the third visit, they determined that the 14 year old inside coiling coil was rusted out and a replacement would have to be located and obtained. After a couple of days, they located the replacement coil and replaced it with about 3 hours of labor. Throughout this process they communicated to me regularly to keep me informed and the on-call service tech always returned my calls to the answering service within 30-60 minutes. They explained the situation and apologized that the part could not be obtained more quickly. Everyone I dealt with including Bob Chason, the owner, were polite, professional, technically competent and highly responsive. Since I have a maintenance agreement and the part (cooling coil) was out of warranty, I had to pay for the part and not for labor. One other part was needed but it was covered. The cost for the coiling coil unit was approx $850.We have used Chason for more than 10 yrs and they are among the very best companies we have encountered. They are always responsive when we have problem and the staff are professional, competent, and friendly. Many have been with the company for many years. They also provide maintenance services to our unit 2x per year and have kept it running well and efficiently and not needing many repairs. I would highly recommend them. I'm not sure why there have been a couple of F grades, but they are totally out of character to my experience.

They come out day or night if anything goes wrong, and they are very helpful.

They are well known in the area. Actually one gentleman who works for them, his son went to Calvert Hall College High School where our son went. There is a little bit of commonality there and we sort of talk about the boys and their school experience and that type of things. They have always been reliable and on time. Price; they probably are very competitive. I would absolutely use their services again in the future.

The crew arrived promptly at 8, worked straight through to 3 pm to complete job. They are very professional, took measures to keep work area clean and keep carpets clean, well organized in approach to the job, and the crew worked well together.

I called to request an estimate for installing central air in my circa 1910 rowhome. I was referred to him by a relative who has worked with him on larger corporate jobs. The owner, Bob, was the one I spoke to and he is the one that came out to look at my house. He was right on time, was very nice and seemed to look over the house thoroughly, and took measurements and notes. He said it would take him a couple weeks to work out a plan/estimate and that he would get in touch with me. I never heard back, but decided to check in a couple months later (I was in no rush) in case he had lost my number or something. I left a message with someone and they seemed surprised that I hadn't heard back and said they'd put the note right on his desk so that he's see it first thing in the morning. That was about 3 weeks ago, and I still haven't heard back. I hate leaving a bad review, but I was left hanging, so don't know what to think.

After a year I lost heating and cooling. I call and they told me the system refrigerant lost charge and re-charged. Again 6 months later same thing, lost charge. I call a third time and ask them what was wrong that this wasn't normal and I thought the unit was a "lemon". They wanted to ignore me but I kept calling and complaining and finally got them to come and look at the unit. The "kid" that arrived (who was very honest) checked the unit for leaks and found none. Then told me it was in the line coming out of the unit going to the condenser. Agian, he said the the unit was fine. This was a line Chason installed, but evidently never bothered to leak checked. Probably at the solder joint at the connections coming out of the unit Its also a line inside a finished wall. So now do to their negligence I have to have the drywall torn open and the line repaired. Of course Chason takes no responibility for this and charge me for each visit.

My old carrier heat pump failed and I needed to replace the entire install. Bob Chason came and did a run through of the options, calculated a "Manual J" (look this up, any installer should do this, not just tell you that you need "x tons", then contacted me later with several quotes to match the options he'd showed me. Bob also went out of his way to point out the approaching tax holiday and helped coordinate so I could take advantage of it (which was helpful as I'd missed the 2010 tax breaks). Bob was very responsive via email, so I have high hopes for further interaction with the company (and have already had positive experiences with them previously). His quote bested the others I received slightly in price, but the interaction and thoroughness put Chason over the top for me, so I chose them, and have no regrets. Chason's team came the day after our final winter storm, and patiently dealt with the fact that I'd failed to shovel, and my drive had become icy, which added work for them.(oops). The team worked very fast and did an excellent job with the install. Everything looks great, and, so far, it's working beautifully. Definitely recommended.

When we set up the appointment, no one showed. So we called and the owner forgot to schedule the service. He had 2 guys come out later in the day to do the work. They were here for an hour and completed the job. When the bill came, it was over $700 and for labor only as the part was under warranty! We called to find out why it was so high and they could not explain it. To top it off the guys put on the job report they were here for 2 and half hours! So a revised bill came and was still too high. They were horribly rude on the phone when all we wanted to know was a breakdown for the charges. We found out the were charging paperwork fees, travel to get the part (which we could not get verification on it), and 2.5 hours of labor (which is a lie). So, we could not get them to resolve and were forced to pay the amount due. Do not use this company. They failed to come as scheduled, and on the billing side were rude when asked for an itemized invoice (making us feel as though we asked for something unreasonable).

When the system wasn't coming on it was something minor but it could have been something major; we trusted Chason enough that we knew they would tell us the truth.

We are very pleased with them. We've been with them for 10 years. They are quick to respond. They are very good about explaining what they are doing and why.

They are very responsive, very supportive to emergency needs, do an exceptional job and are very reasonable. I recommend them to others.

My son was very impressed with them for him to say they are great people is a big deal, and he was delighted with their service. They were the nicest people, and they were very accommodating. They were excellent in every way they were very polite, very nice, very helpful, and very trustworthy. They did a great job and even cleaned up thoroughly before they left. They are a first class company, and it s hard to find someone who does things first class. If you ever need work done, they are the ones to call.

Bob Chason came to our house and sized it for the Carrier heating and air condition unit needed. He and his people installed the unit and have answered all our questions over the last 8 years. The equipment has worked flawlessly and Chason Service Engineers have performed the preventative maintenance during this time. I would readily give Mr. Chason and Vernon the keys to the house, knowing that the requested work would be superbly performed and at a reasonable cost.

I would highly recommend them to anyone! They are good. Very responsive and go the extra mile to take care of you.

The company installed the AC system two years ago. The system had a leak. The technician came to fix it. He scratched the hard wood floor. The leak didn't get fixed. The company refused to cover the job with any warranty.
