WEED MAN

I purchased a groupon or living social deal (can't remember which one) about two years ago for a one-time weed control application. The company performed the service in a timely manner. I received a follow up call in which a representative proposed additional lawn services and follow up weed applications. I told them I wasn't interested at the time but would call back if I changed my mind. A couple weeks later I came home to find a bill from Weed Man for weeding and fertilization services. I called the company to inform them of the error and that I would not be paying for something I did not order. The person on the phone proceeded to argue with me for several minutes, stating that if it was in their system I must have ordered it. In a pathetic attempt to convince me that I was wrong, he put me on hold and asked the person who I spoke with the first time, who (of course) confirmed that I ordered it. I argued that there was no way someone who talks to several people per day (he conceded this) could remember a conversation that happened about 3 weeks ago. He responded by saying something to the extent of and quot;well it doesn't matter you still owe us money.and quot; I hung up shortly after that, stunned at basically a con attempt to gain business from me. Never again will I do business from them and I am glad they have not called since. I wish I could remember exact names but it was two years ago and I am just joining Angie's list to put this review in. Hopefully their business practices have changed since then.
