Deluxe Carpet Cleaning

We have been using Deluxe Carpet Cleaning for over 10 years now since we bought our home. The owner does all of his own work, is very easy to deal with and is very straight forward on his pricing. Also he's very professional and trustworthy. We wouldn't even consider using someone else.

John was responsive in returning my inquiry for a quote and he answered all my questions over the phone. He arrived about 30 min late, but kept me apprised of his arrival time. Because of this, he included the germ free treatment at no charge. He was very thorough in explaining everything. We have 2 dogs, so the carpets, especially the stairs, were fairly dirty. The carpets came out very nice and dried quickly. I would definitely use him again and recommend to anyone looking for carpet cleaning.

They did a great job. The carpet has never looked better.

On the phone he said that it would cost $89 for one room; when he came he said the room was bigger than he thought, measured it, said it is 14x20 so that is two units and it would cost $139. OK it had to be done. He laid a price list on the table but did not explain it. He was good at educating, explaining things about rugs, how to clean spots, said I should not have my living room rug on top of the wall to wall without a pad underneath it, etc.. It was very thorough, a speech he must give a 100 times and he seemed not to want me to ask any questions. Because I let him come earlier he said he would waive the $5 for germ protection and would also give me a free bottle of stain remover and clean the hall free. (I later saw that is what he normally does anyway.) When he was finished I glanced again at the price list wondering how much the whole house would be. I started adding up the way the list was written: $139 for two units, $159 for three. I assumed you added up my den which was one and the bedroom which was two and thought that was rather high to add all that up. He said I was looking at it wrong and then explained that was not how it worked. My whole house would have been $179. I asked why he did to explain that before and he said I only asked for the one room and he does not push his prices on anyone. I could have had the whole house done for $40 more. which I would have done had he explained the price list. He is apparently a very religious man, judging by the business card he left.

They were very thorough, had superior equipment for the job, and exhibited extensive knowledge about the carpet and how to deal with stains. They completed the job in a reasonable time and explained everything very thoroughly.

We are repeat customers. John was quick in returning my call when I left a message to schedule the service. He works by himself so it was a couple of weeks before I could get on the schedule. I emailed him a question in the interim and he called me back right away to answer the question. On the morning of the service he called 1/2 hour before the agreed arrival time to confirm he was on the way. We had vacuumed the entire house before his arrival to improve the cleaning job. John moved all of the furniture and ran the vacuum under where the furniture had been, then steam cleaned those areas and put the furniture back, with tiny foam blocks under the legs to protect the furniture. He then steam cleaned the open areas of the room, then on to the next room. He applied Scotchguard (spray) to all surfaces. And lastly he "raked" the carpets that have a pile with a special carpet rake to raise the pile and make it look uniform. A fan was used to enhance drying while he worked on other areas. He provided us with an 8 ounce bottle of professional strength spot cleaner to use in the event of spills or stains in between cleanings. It took about 3 hours to complete the job. It's important to know that he uses truck mounted equipment that is very powerful and really deep cleans the carpet! He also does grout and tile cleaning though I have not tried that service. Next time I will!

Deluxe Carpet Cleaning did the best job on my carpets. He has his own soap what he uses. He takes the whole sofa and the carpet. He uses steam from his truck. His truck is a full size. It's like a big van, with all this equipment in it. He comes in and he's a one man operation. I appreciate people doing good work. He spent four hours here and only charged me $260.00. I had another company and they took $400.00 and they were in and out of here in two hours with two two people. Deluxe charged me $260.00 and he was here four hours.

John Stickley was very prompt with his follow up. He was also very knowledgable about carpets and explained to us the reason for the "browning" on our Berber carpets. He recommended treatments without being pushy and the end result was superb. We paid more on this first deep cleaning to correct issues from previous cleanings, as well as pet stains. Very happy with his services and will definitely use his services again.

They were excellent. They were dependable and personable. They were quick and professional. I would use them in the future.

I used Deluxe once before this, with very satisfactory results. John Stickley does the work himself, with an assistant. He is always prompt thorough, courteous and neat, and I have been pleased with the results. He posts his prices, which I think are fair, right on his web site.

He has a good price and he does an excellent job. Our pet sometimes has accidents and he just erases them. He's wonderful and just so thorough. He uses a steam-cleaner, no soapy stuff. We have an older carpet and he does miracles with it. He's so professional and very prompt. If he says he'd be there at 8 p.m., he'd be there at 7:58 p.m. He has a helper who's been with him for years. He's so courteous and professional. He's big on manners and being proper. I think that's why he's done so well on his own. He has saved my life when there's been an accident and we were having guests over. He's a very busy guy but he always fits me in. I'm so grateful.

I was looking for someone to clean the carpets in the house I was moving out of on short notice and John was able to get me in that afternoon due to a cancellation. I told him what areas I needed cleaned and he quoted me a very reasonable price. That afternoon he gave me a call that when he arrived at his previous job and gave me an estimate on when he would be leaving. He then gave me another call when he was on his way. This worked out perfectly since I was at work during the time. When he showed up at the house he, and his assistant Ivan (I think), were both VERY friendly and VERY professional. We walked through the rooms, looked things over, and then went downstairs so he could write up the paperwork. I was charged exactly what he quoted and he even left me some spot cleaner. Since I needed to get back to work, John assured me he'd lock the house up for me (it's empty). When I returned to take a look at the carpets, I was VERY impressed. We had 2 dogs and 2 kids in the house and the carpet had taken a beating, but you wouldn't have known that was the case when he was done with them. This is the most impressed I have been with any service at my home and I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone needed carpet/upholstery cleaning services. I will definitely use him in the future.

Competent, responsible, and reliable--gives prices upfront, does what promises to do. A little pricey if you want area rugs or furniture done as well, but, overall fair. I've used this service for years, with no problems. I'm a little put off by inevitable pushes to buy extra treatments (scotchguard, allergy spray, etc.), but there's no hard sell if you say no.

Excellent - I only had to move objects off furniture. All furniture was moved, cleaned and replaced with pads underneath legs. Urine stain/odor treatment appeared to be very effective.
