Town Creek Landscaping

Overall excellent. I would recommend Town Creek Landscaping to others and would use again.

They do beautiful work but I would never use them again or refer them to anyone. Disappeared before all the work was done. It was discovered that they caused thousands of dollars of damage to our property. The owner acts in a completely unprofessional manner the likes of which I have never seen before. DO NOT USE TOWN CREEK!!!

minting a complaint to the Our site manager was Mr. David Wu. Mr. Wu provided detailed plans of the patio, walkway and steps from the deck. However, during the work on the retaining wall, Mr. Wu left the employment of Town Creek and no one managed the completion of the project. We provided pictures of the agreed upon retaining wall and instructed the workers from Town Creek to visit several properties in the area that had stacked stone retaining walls. I sent a letter to Mr. Haney, the owner of Town Creek, that detailed our concerns with the work on the retaining wall. Also, Mr. Wu promised to properly seal the patio and stone walkway to firmly secure the stones and reduce erosion. Mr. Haney responded by sending a female employe to meet with me and my wife to discuss our concerns. She stated that Town Creek would correct the defects to our satisfaction. After several months and numerous follow up telephone calls, we were notified by the female employee that the work would be corrected if we had additional landscaping completed by Town Creek. I followed up on this response by submitting a complaint to the Baltimore Better Business Bureau. As of August 2015, we have not had any contact with Town Creek in regard to our complaint. The Town Creek contract which we signed stated that their work if fully guaranteed. I will contact the Howard County Chamber of Commerce to solicit their help in correcting the defects.

Town Creek has worked for us for about 14 years and has done an outstanding job on every project, from installation of drainage to planting trees and shrubs. They also designed and built beautiful decks, maintained our screened porch, and replaced and expanded our patio. They are never the cheapest...but if you care about quality workmanship, attention to detail, and excellent design skills, they are the best.

Installation went beautifully. It only took 3 days for all of the work to be done. The crew came and dug up the old brick walkway, and stacked the bricks neatly as requested for our later use. They dug out the patio and replacement walkway area, put down base layers and compacted them, laid pavers exactly as planned, and filled the gaps. They added a large stepping stone at the edge of the patio to make it easier go down the back slope. They leveled the approach to the back faucet and laid large, solid stepping stones there. They graded the area along the side of the house, added French drains to the downspouts, buried the drains, compacted the area, covered it with mulch, and relaid the existing square pavers in a safe, level pattern. All of the work was beautiful, no damage was done to any part of the house or yard, and everything was cleaned up perfectly. We couldn't have asked for anything better.

Town Creek has not responded to our telephone calls, E Mails, and written correspondence in regard to the satisfactory completion of the contracted work. David has left the company and Michelle has assumed responsibility for his accounts. We have two major issues with the projects. A sealer finish was not applied to the paver patio and walkway. David was asked on numerous occasions to complete the sealer finish and he would reply: that the paver crew was busy and he would work it into their schedule while project two was being completed. Project two was a "Stacked Stone " wall along our driveway to enhance the front appearance and prevent erosion. David provided photographs of the stacked stone wall that he completed at a different job site. He also requested that my wife visit that job site and go to the Clarksville office to select the stone and plantings for the project. My wife met with David and the project was completed while we were out of town dealing with a family illness. When we returned home and viewed the retaining wall that was not in accordance with our contract, we contacted Town Creek. Michelle responded to our concerns and stated to me and my wife" that Town Creek stands behind it work and will make things right for us She also stated that she has to clean up several of David's unfinished projects or messes. We have tried to work with Michelle but she is not the decision maker for Town Creek. We have attempted to contact Mr. Robert Haney, Town Creek President, since April 1, 2013. We are trying to resolve these issues without going to an attorney and we believe that Town Creek is not interested in resolving the issues and guaranteeing its work. We are retired military and not accustomed to be treated in this fashion.

They were awesome; the entire company was just awesome to work with. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to do any kind of outside work even just for general landscaping. They also do construction, out door lighting, and decks. I am going to have them come out and do more landscaping in the spring.

They were very prompt and gave me a detailed estimate.

I prefer not to disclose the amount that I spent. The job was very well done. They were responsive. They were a little slow in getting out to do the estimate and then a little slow in actually coming back to do the work, but part of that was due to the season for them to do a lot of work. They did a very nice job. They were pretty expensive for what I thought. Their quality of work was excellent. We will use their services again in the future.

Very Well. This company has transformed a wild looking environment into a beautiful landscape. We have used this company twice with excellent results.

I think I paid more than $10000 and less than $13000 which was a lot for my standard. They were kind of on the expensive side but I could not complain about their work. They were very dependable and reliable. I did not have anything negative to say except for the price but we pay for what we get. They did top quality work. Their staff was reliable and friendly. Whenever, I wanted to address an issue, they were there, they saw it through and made sure that it was addressed. They were a little bit pricey but it was totally worth it.

I called to get the estimate and had to have the designer call back to set a time. I got the estimate and sent in the deposit and then waited. Apparently, the designer should have called me back to schedule but after waiting over a week I called the office to find out if they'd gotten my check. I ended up getting the designer's cell number to call him. In the end there was very little notice before they came out because they slipped my smaller job into a gap in the schedule. That was the hardest part of my dealings with the company. Because I was trying to schedule a number of improvements simultaneously, I found the lack of notice difficult. They did come when they said and did the work quickly. I was extremely pleased with the outcome. The walk looks great and the step is a much more normal height.

From start to finish Town Creek was wonderful! The quality and service for this relatively small project was as wonderful as I were spending millions! They were timely, courteous and the plant material was of the best quality. I will use this company again for upcoming larger projects!

John called to confirm our appointment, arrived on time and met with us to discuss options. He provided us with a folder of information and references. He called us a few days later to set up an appointment to review the written estimate and view Town Creek's products. He called to confirm the appointment, he was very polite, walked us through the grounds to show us examples and answered our questions. Unfortunately, the price was extremely high and the design was pedestrian for the price. John explained that the company was known for its workmanship. However, we interviewed two other companies and decided on another company whose price was much lower for the same design and comparable materials. In the end, our final project included flagstone steps and new landscaping and was STILL less expensive than Town Creek's and the workmanship was spectacular. We had a feeling that our project would be too small for Town Creek if it came in under $20,000, our other estimates were under $20K.

In general I am pleased with the outcome of the work performed at my home. The fence was installed in about two weeks. However, I was disappointed that it took 2 months from the time I signed the contract until the landscaping was installed. I had hoped that the planting would be done before the temperature got as warm as it now is (middle of June) so that the plants could get established before it got hot.

THEY ARE ONE OF THE VERY FEW COMPANIES THAT ARE ACTUALLY A PLEASURE TO DEAL WITH. THEY SHOW UP WHEN THEY SAY THEY WILL. THEY START AND COMPLETE THE WORK VERY QUICKLY.

HIGH QUALITY TREES AND OTHER PLANTS. NOT THE CHEAPEST BUT QUALITY IS WORTH IT.
