This company gave me exactly what was needed. I needed a sump pump to tie into an old old old french drain that was no longer working. An estimator came in, saw the problem, and wrote the proposal for a reasonable price. They showed up when they were supposed to and did the work in one day. In my eyes (admittedly through a lens of OCD), they were a little sloppy. But when asked to straighten out the line of the drain, clean off excess cement, and use more cement to level out the door sill, they complied. They chuckled a little as they did it, but they did it. I mean no disrespect but these guys were a little "rough". But they were on-time, polite, and good workers. They did the work (with a few minor alterations), moved and reattached my plumbing, answered all my questions and cleaned up everything. The company followed up with an email to see if I was satisfied. The other waterproofing guys on the list were indeed "charming" but tried to sell me things I didn't need. THESE GUYS GET THE JOB DONE.

They were a lot softer than what I thought they would be. They did work quickly. They put down nabs to come up to proceed from the door, down to the basement. They made me come down and check out couple of times what they were doing. They asked me if I had any questions. When they were done, they called me and told me about the system. They told me what to do if I wanted to finish the wall because it?s unfinished now. They told me what to expect about the concrete drying, how long it would take and how long to take off things. They did a good job in cleaning off. They wiped the dust off the floor and it was like a rag. The guy who came out was very personable. He told me what he thought the problem was and did what needed to be done. I would consider using them in the future.

I learned that it is called "Budget" for a reason. They were the lowest bid by far, and they were not very attentive to the details that I suspect the more expensive contractors were. They did a poor job containing the dust and dirt, both in the basement with all the things that were stored down there, and up in the house.

We called Budget for a water proofing estimate... Bill came out and was very punctual and very informative. The estimate for a complete set of drains around the perimeter of the basement, waterproofing the front wall, a sump, and another drain for the back entrance was cheap! So that was really great - - however - - as we had the house inspected, the inspector pointed out quite a number of things that we could do to the exterior of the house that might help solve some of the water issues in the basement (improved grading, fixing gutters, etc.).

I was very pleased by the service from this company. All of the salesmen and workers were polite and professional, and the two men who installed the French drain worked extremely hard and left the area very neat. The only reason why I'm rating the quality of the drain "good" rather than "excellent" is because the new drainage system has not yet been tested by a heavy rain. I will update my quality rating once we have a proper downpour. UPDATE ONE YEAR LATER: We got through the heavy rains of this spring and summer, and through Hurricane Irene, without any flooding our in our basement -- a small miracle considering the basement's previous tendency to flood. One small section of the concrete covering the French drain has developed a hairline crack, which I plan to call B.W. to fix. In the meantime, I've changed the quality rating to "excellent".

Everything went great. They came out promptly and gave a professional, friendly estimate that was less expensive than their competitors. They promptly set a date for the services and kept that date. They arrived when scheduled and they performed their work in a professional manner and left the work area very clean. In addition, their personnel were friendly, informative, and professional. The actual proof of their work will be when we get some considerable rainfall, but with their reputation and guarantee I feel confident we will be fine.

The saleperson arrived and provided an estimate after looking at the situation in the basement. He informed me that doing the work was possible without waterproofing the total basement. He provided an estimate and was told that other concerns would be contacted. He made follow-up calls and came to perform the paperwork when I decided to use the company. My decision was based on the reports from the BBB, the Md. Consumer Protection Agency, and the salesperson's failure to employ pressure sales tactics. The work was scheduled and the workers arrived late the first two days. I called to determine when they would arrive. The follow-up work was more on schedule. When the return visit needed to be scheduled, the manager called and left a message before I called to make an appointment. At all times during the process all staff were courteous. I was disappointed that I was not informed how much dust would result from the process and the amount of clean up that I would have to perform.

I was very impressed with the company and estimate. They were right in line with what I want to do. The only reason I decided to go with another vendor is because I think another system will work better in my situation. However, I highly recommend this company and would use them in the future.

We had a major basement flood due to snow melt and heavy subsequent rains. Budget Waterproofing proposed putting in a sump pump and a drainage system around a portion of the inside perimeter of the basement. It was an emergency situation because the water level continued to rise, even though the clean up crew pumped the water out each day. Budget was able to schedule a crew for the next day, and their work resolved the issue. Unlike other companies that proposed putting a drainage system around the entire basement at a much higher cost, the person who came out to review the situation was very knowledgeable and suggested a modification that focused on the obvious problem areas contributing to the flooding. He was thorough, gave great explanations, explained all of the risks, and convinced us this was the way to go.

They were going to dig around the perimeter of my basement and install a French drain and a sump pump and waterproof the basement. I haven?t hired them yet. Their price was half the price that others would charge. The salesman and the others were very nice. He seemed to know what he was talking about. I have referred them to my friends and one of them hired Budget Waterproofing and was very happy with them.

The interaction went very well. They showed up on time and seemed to be very thorough also. They seemed professional and we were happy with their service.

I didn?t use them as their quote was much more than I anticipated. So, I did the work myself. The quote was for $6000. My son had used them earlier and was very happy with them. I am sure they would have done good quality work. I will use them again in the future.

We were very pleased with the work that Budget did from start to finish. Mike was extremely helpful in providing an estimate, and answered all of our questions. Unlike some (not all) of the other estimates we received, we really felt like he had our best interests at heart. The estimate also came in 25% less than the next lowest one. When the actual work was performed, the team was prompt, experienced, polite, and again answered all of our questions. They did a good job trying to keep the resultant mess to a minimum. The end result was work that was done very well and we are thus very happy with our choice.

They were on time, neat and clean. They put up a barrier to keep the house from getting dusty. They were really good about not tracking mud through the house.

Our basement renovator suggested that we do some waterproofing prior to his work in our basement. I contacted Budget as the third company to quote our work. Bob came to the house the next day. He reviewed the scope of work, made a suggestion for one change to what we thought we wanted to do and provided us with three options as to how we could proceed. We talked to our renovations person and decided to go with Budget using one of Bob's three options. We coordinated a date for the work. Bob was very clear on what we needed to do to have the area ready for his crew. (There were unrelated items that needed to be tended to by our renovator.) On the appointed day, a two-man crew arrived promptly and very courteously introduced themselves and what they were going to do. They had the first part of the work done by lunchtime and said it had gone well. They gave me an update as to what would happen after lunch, They left, taking with them their debris. In less than one hour, they came back with another crew for the second part of the job. Again, they reviewed the work with me and got to it. About three hours later, I realized that they were finishing up. The crew leader reviewed the work with me and went over their lifetime guarantee. The leader was very thorough with the guarantee and the time period he recommended that we wait until our renovator work on the area again.

It went very well. the workmen worked very hard and did an excellent job.

Budget never showed up for our appointment and did not have the courtesy to call to let us know they could not make it. The owner later called and was very apologetic.

From start to finish they were very courteous and they explained things well to me. They were not over priced.

On time and professional, got the job done, cleaned up well - did everything asked of them including breaking up and removing an old utility sink.

Ron, the estimator for Budget, came by on a Saturday of a holiday weekend and spent an hour educating us on why we were having the problem. Then he wowed us with the estimate; not only would it cost 1/2 of the original estimate, but the damage to the basement would be one foot of drywall as opposed to the whole 40 feet we were anticipating. On the day of the project, Robby arrived on time and was out of the house in about two hours. The site was completely clean, not a bit of dust anywhere, and we could see exactly where the work had been done. Apparently we had had a crack from floor to ceiling. Yesterday we got a downpour that, before the work was done, would have soaked half the basement. We are BONE DRY. We are VERY HAPPY.

I definitely recommend these folks. Having a basement waterproofed is probably never a grand experience, but this one was very good. The sales rep was very efficient and clear, explaining everything that would be done and how the work would proceed. He even brought pictures. Since my basement had leaked from every possible corner, the company elected to move everything (I even had the furnace disconnected and moved) and put drains basically everywhere. The workers were a bit flaky--they tended to show up late and occasionally disappeared--but they knew their business and did the work well with a minimum of mess. Result: I went from a water-filled basement to a dry storage and rec room space. Even during heavy storms no water comes into the basement, and I have a guarantee. My neighbors (I live in a duplex) also said that water stopped leaking into their basement after the job was done.
