Barrier Mechanical

Roy is a really nice guy. I'm going to write up a pretty specific review but overall was very satisfied with his service. Punctuality. Appoint was supposed to be early morning due to my afternoon work schedule. Roy arrived around 11-11:30am about 2 hours later than expected which unfortunately made me about hour and half late for work Service. The job was pretty straight forward replacement. Installed hot water heater. connected gas lines and fixed PVC pipe to align with the new heater. All was in good working order when he completed and has not had any issues as of 2 weeks later. Above and beyond. Roy went the extra mile with me by helping fix a small copper pipe that connected the outside faucet. Price : My hot water heater was expensive i won't share the price of my receipt because it was his purchase price which i shouldn't know. but the bill totaled 1525 which was competitive rate compared to other service providers in the area. considering the hot water heater is over 1000 dollars from most vendors. Conclusion. Seems like a good guy. Straight forward and honest. After price negotiating i do think i got a fair deal. Installation was great. He could be more appointment oriented but wouldn't stop me from recommending him to friends.

The Barrier Mechanical owner came at an earlier date to spec the job and provide a bid. He arrived on the agreed upon date to start the work and kept us updated on his progress throughout the process. He kept his work area clean and left no trash. It was evident he took great pride in his work as he checked it repeatedly to make sure it was perfect. We were very pleased.

They arrived exactly when I expected them and didn't fool around but got straight to work. They uninstalled the old applicances so they could be removed from the house by the person who just came in to do that job (Perfect timing). Roy had my gas stove done but found out the store didn't provide me all the connection stuff I needed and paid for. Lucky for me he planned ahead and had the stuff I might need in his truck, so he was able to install the gas dryer. The refrigerator was in a location not easily accessible to the water supply. He made a perfect working suggestion through a cabinet area to get the hook up done. He was very concerned about the copper line I bought for the job but he used it and told me to call him back no charge if it ever leaked. He said he always wanted to make sure his work was done properly. (he learned from his father to do the job right because it was the right thing to do.) He was very professional and definitely knew what he was doing. (He did yell at his assistant a few times because he didn't get what he needed when he wanted it.) As far as plumbers are $$$ wise, I felt he was reasonably priced for the work he did...(I had est. for more $$$ from another plumber I just didn't like when he showed up,) Roy did a great job and I'm planning to have him do more work in the future.
