Description of Work: My air conditioner was not working, they came out, told me what was wrong, and I would be called by close of that day with an estimate and how soon the parts would be in. The job was completed as promised, they came when they said they would. I have since used them again with the same excellent results.

Description of Work: I asked for a price and the salesman was very rude and said that if I did not go with them then I was making a large mistake. He was late, rude. I would not recommened this company to anyone.

Description of Work: Inspected my heating system to make sure it was good to go for the winter. This was the second time I've had them out (first was for an HVAC inspection), and they're great -- very knowledgeable, reliable, no upselling, etc.

Description of Work: I originally called ACHE for a seasonal checkup and maintenance on our heat pump because while it was running it was making odd noises. They came within a couple of days did the check and tune up and recommended some parts that needed replacing. Our unit is an old Kenmore unit and the parts are difficult to find and that is where the problems began.Ultimately the unit did get repaired but it took a month for all the parts to be acquired and we could not use our a/c the 3 hottest days of the month (Murphy's Law-if you cant use your a/c it will be during the hottest days of the year). They were professional and sympathetic throughout the whole process so yes, I would use them again.

Description of Work: The tech arrived within the time window they indicated. He performed the check, cleaned the condensate system and advised me that the cooling system needed 1 pound of refrigerant. However, since his services menu did not have a cost for only adding a pound of refrigerant, I was charged for another service call in addition to the Angie's Deal service. I wound up paying $69 for the Angie's Deal and an additional $70 for the refrigerant. The tech wrote the bill on his hand held device and acknowledged payment on the same device. I did not receive a copy of either the bill or the receipt. I called the office two days later to request copies. I was told that they would be mailed the following week. Three weeks later I still have not received them. The system seems to be running alright but I feel that I have been overcharged. Angie's List ran another deal the following week for the same service, including 1 pound of refrigerant, for a total of $79. I left a message with Arundel telling them I felt I was overcharged, but have not received a call back.

Description of Work: I highly recommend Arundel Heating and Cooling. They were responsive, the admin dept. was friendly and worked with me to get the appointment time I needed, the repairmen were courteous and on time and did a very good job!

Description of Work: We needed to replace our heat pump/AC unit. They did a wonderful job. On the day of the install, the guys were running behind but the office gave me a courtesy call to let me know that they would be late. The new unit works great and the installers were knowledgeable and friendly. They had to access the attic (which meant they had to walk back and forth through the house) but they were not disruptive at all. Initially, the job was supposed to take two days, but they finished in one day. They made sure we understood how to operate our new thermostat and answered all of our questions before leaving. Our new unit is much more efficient and kicks out air stronger and more evenly than our last one, which was on its last legs. We are very satisfied!

Arundel Cooling and Heating accommodated my tight schedule despite this being a busy season for them, did great work at a reasonable price, and answered the questions I had about proper maintenance. I would definitely use their services again.

Description of Work: I purchased the AL deal for an AC inspection/tune up. The guy was thorough and there wasn't anything wrong with my unit so no work needed to be performed.

Description of Work: Chose this provider based on Angie's List reviews. Very disappointed. Purchased AC service special for 2 units. I was given a time frame of 10-2. Called at 1:45 & was told I should not have been given 10-2 window. Tech finally came at 4:55pm and spent 40 minutes servicing 2 units. As far as I know he did fine. | I pointed out a problem with a thermostat. Told by tech that it would be a fairly simple repair, but I would need to buy entire new unit. Fine. So I called the office to schedule. Price quoted by office to repair/ replace thermostat seemed excessive. We made other arrangements.

Description of Work: They came to service my air conditioner and noticed it wasn't cooling. After inspection, I needed another motor. They ordered the part and came to install it the next business day. All is working great now and I don't have to worry about being hot this summer!!
