I was very pleased! They serviceman really knew what he was doing and they were really good!

I received a bid from them and I went with a company that I was more familiar with as the bids were comparable. I thought quote wise everything was good, they were on time, and I thought they did a good job.

They found a bird in my furnace and they had to charge me a little extra for the bird removal. They did give me a discount because I was an Angie's List member. The man who came out was very courteous, helpful and they did a good job!

They gave a bid very fast. They were responsive. I did go with another company as I received a better bid. I think that the other company under bid the job.

Sales representative was friendly and punctual. He provided several quotes for alternate systems in a timely fashion. This company was not the low bidder, so another was chosen.

Everything went well, and the Arundel service folks were very professional. The Arundel office staff seems to be the weak link, however, particularly when it comes to responding to emails and scheduling regular maintenance inspections.

The service tech showed up generally on time and was very thorough in cleaning the air conditioning handler inside, which was hadn't been cleaned in two years (and certainly needed it)! He also checked and cleaned the outside heat pump unit which did not need much work. The tech also said that we needed more refrigerant (at a cost of more than the cost of the cleaning) but since it had worked fine the previous year, we decided to wait a year for that. We also thought that both the heating and cooling would be checked, but they only did the cooling. I think it was our fault for misunderstanding, since I have since learned it seems to be standard in the industry to do heating and cooling separately. I would hire them again but will be sure that I understand completely what is being provided.

I was totally satisfied! They made the arrangements for me for the payments, and the unit they installed is a top-of-the-line unit; the county inspectors came out and approved it, and in fact, even complimented it! The installers were clean and polite. When I made the decision to work with this company, the sales people were very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions without any problems. They explained everything to me and even followed up with a phone call! I would recommend them!

Easy, quick and no problems

When I called they told me it would cost exactly $99 for a visit; they would conduct diagnostics, and go ahead and fix a small problem. They then said, if the problem is bigger, the $99 would be included in the cost of repairs that they would provide an estimate for on that same visit. I had a small problem; could've fixed it myself, but learned a $99 lesson the hard way. The gentleman that serviced us was very helpful in explaining what happened, why, and I was pleased with the company's personnel and service.

Although our main system has functioned correctly, one of the through the wall units never worked- fan would run but it did not cool. The other units heating system broke early on that winter. So, out of 3 units that we paid to have inspected/serviced, only one functions correctly. I am particularly dissapointed in the one unit which never functioned or cooled - there is simply no excuse for not catching this. So, although they seemed professional, showed up on time and were easy to deal with, the results make it so that I cannot recommend them.

They came out, found the problem very quickly, had to order a new part and did so. We had to wait about 30 minutes until the new part was delivered. The new part was installed and everything was back to normal again. While waiting, I received some eye-opening information on HVAC systems which I might want to consider for any planned future upgrades or replacements - and also some systems I might want to be careful of.

My insurance company had to get involved, and the damage to my finished basement was considerable. Arundel Cooling and Heating never called, followed up or accepted any responsibility for clogged condensate line and the resulting damage, even though inspecting and cleaning it was supposed to be a standard part of their service tune up. I am having to take them to court to recoup the damages from my flooded basement. Arundel Cooling and Heating is continuing to be dishonest, and claiming that they told me additional service on my furnace was needed, although their receipt to me from the day they were here says "ALL OK." This claim has cost me over $8500 in damages, as well as taken over 9 months to mitigate to this point. Total disregard for the damage and inconvenience that this "$69" tune up deal has cost me. I am now taking them to small claims court. It is very unprofessional and outrageous to deny responsibility when there is so much proof to the contrary that they did not perform the service that was paid for, or accept the responsibility for the resulting damages from neglect to perform the service that I paid for.

They were very prompt and professional. They told us it would take 1-2 days to remove the old system and install the new one. They were finished within that timeframe. They were also clean and informative. They also took the time to walk us through the operation of the entire system.

My boiler heat unit went out. I placed a call and Arundel Heating came out within an hour and repaired it immediately. Friendly and punctual.

I bought a new house and had the unpleasant suprise of discovering that all my ductwork was not only inadequate but crumbling and not connected in many places (hot air just blowing into the free space beneath drywall). I called Arundel Cooling & Heating and Jim Adams, the installation manager, came out within a day to evaluate the situation. He was not only on time for our appointment but even arrived early, which I found to be typical of all the meetings I had with both Jim and his team. It was a bit of a puzzle to figure out how to deal with the problem because I have a very small Baltimore rowhome with little space to run ductwork. However, Jim quickly came up with a plan, gave me a reasonable estimate including options for where I could cut costs. I got 2 other estimates but decided to go with Arundel because their price was competitive and also because Jim clearly had the expertise to solve my problem. Jim told me the plan was to pull out most of the old ductwork, fabricate new adequately-sized ducts, install them and seal them. They also would install a new vent to the kitchen (which did not have one before) and run a new properly-sized intake to ensure airflow was adequate throughout the system. I was on a tight schedule and he told me they would be able to start right away and finish within a week, which was impressive. They did exactly that. Removing the old ducts required a lot of drywall demolition and was a messy process but I never saw any evidence of it--when they finished, evereything was neat and tidy. The new ductwork was installed in a week, with the team working around all the existing plumbing and electrical wiring. Everything was sealed, the flow of air was adequate to every room, and I am super happy with the work they did. I highly recommend this company and will use them again. There is a reason they are highly rated on Angie's List--they know exactly what they are doing, clearly take pride in getting the job done well and are extremely professional at every level.

Our Air Conditioner stopped working and we had Arundel come to fix it. The work was done quickly and on time. At the time, we had no reason to believe anything went wrong. We only started to realize there was a problem this winter when our electric bills were extremely high. We were a little slow to realize they were so high because we're in a new house and thought it could be because the house is bigger that the bills are so high. Our house is 3400 sq. feet and when the January bill was $855, we took action lowering thermostat, replacing filters, weatherstripping etc. When our February bill was $1050, we had another company come out to inspect our units and see if they could be causing the high bills (I honestly forgot that we had done business with an HVAC company(Arundel) in the area already). The other company found that our AC had been running all winter because a screw had been wedged into the AC unit to keep it running. It's possible this was done during the service call as part of testing it, but they found no other need to have it in there. The only explanation in this is that the technician for Arundel did this during the work and forgot to remove it. I know these are strong allegations to have on a company, and I'm extremely frustrated that we didn't figure it out until now, but I think it's necessary to report it. I did just call Arundel and tell them, but the Service manager I spoke to said it had been so long he didn't understand why I hadn't noticed the high bill until now and the only explanation he can think of is that the screw fell there. Because of the angle of how it was wedged, I can't see how the screw would have just fallen in there. He also said he didn't think we should fully trust the report from another company -- but the other evidence lines up that the AC had been running (the high bills, the house not retaining heat), and they certainly didn't put it there since I just called them this week. I'm very happy with the other company and they have lots of positive reviews on here. I'm not going to shade my review by posting their name here, but I'll write them a positive review as well.

Last evening at about 6:15 I noticed our 14 year old gas furnace was blowing cool air, no heat. I checked everything I could and saw that the blower fan was running but no flame from the gas burners. With the outside temps very cold and overnight temps getting even colder and with two children and wife just getting over a bad cold, I got on Angie's List to check and call a heating repair service. Saw that Arundle Cooling and Heating Co had great reviews. Called their emergency number and eventually spoke with someone. Explained the situation to him and the first question he asked was, "Do you have a service contract with us?" Huh? I told him no and he said that they would not be able to get anyone to my house until around noon the next day!!! Are you kidding? My house is getting colder by the minute and Arundle Cooling and Heating SAYS they have emergency service but what, only if I have a service contract? He didn't ask me anything about our heating system or did I check anything, etc or even where I was located (about 20 minutes away from their location).. Just do I have a service contract. I couldn't believe it. I then called a firm located in Elkridge (Elkridge Air Conditioning and Heating) and their service tech was at my house in less then 30 minutes, diagnosed the probelm by looking at the fault light, told me what part I needed (but unfortunately he did not have that particular item on his truck) but said he would reset the circuit board fault and we should be good to go with heat until he could return with the exact part. He reset the fault, the burners lit, the blower blew and we had heat! The unit has ran all evening and all night and I just received a call that he will be returning this morning to replace the part that caused the fault. Now THAT'S emergency service!! Arundle Cooling and Heating - you blew it. I did not call you in the middle of the night on a weekend with two feet of snow on the ground. I called early on a weekday evening and you failed to respond. Elkridge Air Conditioning and Heating - you guys are the best.

I called on a holiday when the furnace shut down. They came the same day, quickly made the diagnosis, and did the repair the next day (a part had to be ordered). I was very happy , except for the price.

Ok, so Jim climbed up in the attic to make sure everything was ok. When he came down, he sat and explained how Grayson Homes ran the system. After drawing out the duct system, he showed me what part of the problem was. I have what is referred to as a spider system. Apparently the body of that system has come apart. So for a couple of hundred dollars Arundel will come out and put dumpty back together again by retaping the box then spraying it so I shouldn't have to retape for years and years. He would also put another damper up there to redirect a lot of the airflow to the effected area. He stated that this "might work, but no guarantees." If that wasn't enough, than I would be looking at redoing the entire duct work to make it more efficient or putting in another heating and another a/c unit for just that area...basically on its own system. Lots of money for either choice. I asked for an estimate for just the repairs and the additional damper. Jim said he would get that to me in a day or two. I got it that night via email. The price was estimated at around $525.00 which was a little more than what I have right now, but I'm saving up money to get it done ASAP. Jim was very professional, easy going and knowledgeable. Oh, and by the way, Jim changed the damper direction while he was here and it has made somewhat warmer. Arundel did not charge me for Jim's visit I assume because I was setting up a new service plan with them. The second part was the service contract. Because of my experience with both Jeanie and Jim, I went with a gold plan with Arundel. They have monthly payment options thru a debit or credit card so it's very affordable. I emailed them to set up a service appointment and they came out two days later. They sent two very nice men to check the heating system. Everything was fine. The annual cost will be about 275..00 or so for the service plan...though they do offer a less expensive one too. Well worth the peace of mind from a caring, reliable company.

They promptly answered the phone, sent someone out the next day, arrived exactly on time, and the technician was great. Competent, intelligent, knowlegable, courteous. I will definately use them again!

I knew it was time for a new furnace since mine was barley working. I checked the reviews on Angie's List and chose Arundel. I am glad I did for several reasons. ? First, the fast response. I called one day and the Arundel technician arrived the next day. Within 3 days, the old furnace was removed and the new furnace installed. The old furnace was very old, dirty, big and bulky The old furnace had to be taken apart and then cut down for removal. There were no complaints. Second, the technicians were polite and professional. They seemed knowledgeable. I was not pressured into buying a new air conditioner unit but told the technicians would connect the new furnace to the existing ac.. Now, both the furnace and ac are the same brand. Lastly, the duck work and gas pipe. The new connections were not patched but professionally done. The new duck work, along with the correct gas pipe fittings were made to order in their shop .then brought to my house for installation. ? Lastly, I do not think anyone wants to go through the cost and process of buying a new furnace. But for me the process was fast, easy and almost painless. Best of all the new furnace is up and running perfectly and quietly.
