Service was great. They accommodated a last minute emergency request, same day. The technician thoroughly explained the issue I was having and repaired it in no time. I have no complaints about this company.

Overall everything went well. I have used this company in the past, so I knew I wanted them for this job. I didn't even go for other estimates, because they had given me a great proposal on replacing these units. The replacement was a 2 day job. Both days, the technicians were prompt and got right to work. The only bad comment I have is that they clean up the debris they left on the floor either days. Other than that, everything went well as expected. 2 business days after the installation, Anne Arundel County electrical and mechanical inspectors came out as part of a required inspection on these type of installations. They found a couple minor violations and informed the company. Arundel Cooling and Heating promptly scheduled a time to come back to fix those violations and 2 days later, all work is completed. AND both technicians cleaned up their mess when they left.

They were great. They were fast and responded quickly when I called them; they came out the same day even though the weather was hot. I thought they were very reasonably priced. My air conditioner is still working. They were a little late for our appointment because they were running behind but the technician called to tell me. They are very professional.

The technician arrived as promised, the repair was a simple reset, and he stayed to clean and check the burner.

Mr Greer arrived promptly, examined the various locations, meters, etc. and took note of which appliances were gas, which electric. I showed him the gas meter outside and pointed to a manhole cover in the street. A previous estimator had told me that the gas line to the house came from there. Mr. Greer frowned, walked out to the street, and said, "This is your water meter. Stamped right on it!" (So much for the previous estimator. Mr. Greer gets an A in reading!) Mr. Greer has many years experience and obviously knows his stuff. He was thorough and patient as he explained generators to me. He emphasized the quality of their product (Kohler) and its life expectancy (which I noted was longer than mine). I gave a B for responsiveness because we were promised an estimate by Friday and didn't receive it until after I called--a day or so into the following week. In the end it came down to the fact that he recommended a 22kw generator for our small rancher. Three other estimators recommended generators between 13 and 15 kw. I chose a 13kw GE, which, if we get the maintenance plan, should last as long as we do.

Called Arundel Cooling because my AC unit was not cooling the house. They walked me through the basic troubleshooting before dispatching a technician. Dispatched a technician for service the following day. Tech arrived within the anticipated window and recharged my freon at a lower than competitor cost. All in all, from the first phone call to the HVAC tech, everyone was polite, honest and easy to deal with. I would use them for service again.

My A/C unit was failing during the hottest week of the summer. The staff who answers the phone and schedules appointments is excellent - friendly, prompt, and knowledgeable. I day a technician was scheduled to come and do an estimate on repairs, I had a medical emergency that forced me to be in the hospital. I left a key for the the service worker outside with instructions on how to access the unit. I was kept informed by the company of his progress throughout. Still unavailable when he came back to replace coil, the service worker completed all of his work without me there. When I finally got home from the hospital, I found that the work was done satisfactorily and our unit is now working great.

My current air conditioning system is still working but is over 20 years old so I decided it was time to replace it. I began getting estimates for a replacement system from a number of companies that were all rated highly on Angie's List. In addition to the Angie's List rating, a colleague at work also recommended Arundel because they did a complete A/C system for them last year. So I had big expectations when I called and made an appointment for a free estimate for Friday morning. Brian was scheduled to be there for the estimate at 8:30 but he called to say he was running late so he arrived closer to 9. After looking over the current system, we talked about a number of different options for replacement. Brian said he would try to get me the estimates by the end of the day on Friday but that they were "short-handed" this week so it may not be until Monday morning before he would send it to me. When I had not received any communication from Brian by noon on Monday, I called his cell phone to find out the status but he did not answer so I left a message. Brian responded to my message and said that he was having car trouble so he would get me the estimate later in the day. I called him back at 5pm since I still had not received the estimate, again leaving a message and Brian called back a few minutes later to say that he left my paperwork in his car, which was in the shop so he would get me the estimate on Tuesday. I never heard from him on Tuesday so on Wednesday morning I called the office and asked them for the status of my estimate. They placed me on hold and then Brian came on the phone because he was in the office. He said he would have an estimate to me by the end of the day. I reminded him that he had been promising it to me for 3 days now and he assured me that I would get it shortly. I did receive an email later that day which included the estimate but it was not what I expected. It was missing a number of the options we discussed when he was at my house and overall it was approx. $2,000 more than estimates I had received from other companies. Since I had such a difficult time getting the estimate from Brian, I decided it was not worth it to go back to him to "remind" him of the options we discussed that did not appear in the estimate I received. I am very disappointed. For a company that came so highly recommended, my initial impression was not good. I understand that things come up but at no time during this process did Brian initiate communication with me to let me know the status of the estimate or why it was taking so long. I cannot speak to their workmanship since based on the experience I had with the estimating process, I have decided to go with another highly rated company that I found on Angie?s List to do the actual work.

I noticed my AC was not blowing cool air and needed to have it fixed quickly given the weather. I found Arundel Cooling,Heating & Electrical?s rating among the top choices on Angie?s list. So I called the company on the16th. My call was promptly processed for a visit that same day. The representative (a lady, didn?t get her name) also provided me with the pricing for the initial diagnostic and trip ($99) and Freon refill charge ($139 for the first 2 pounds, and $45 for any additional pound). The serviceman, Tim, arrived shortly after 4:15pm. The diagnostic went smoothly. Tim was very professional and efficient. He told me that it was a blown capacitor and quoted me the price to replace it ($265). So I replaced the dual run capacitor (40/5/440) and the total came to $364. My AC worked very well from that point on. Next day morning (7/17/13), I had yet to receive my electronic receipt so I called the company. Also, I wanted to ask about the pricing. Based on several Angie?s List reviewers who had their AC capacitor replaced within the last three months, the price ranged from $200 to $288. Mine seemed a little high. When I called on the 17th, the person (a man, didn?t get his name) who took my call seemed a little miffed that I was seeking clarification on the price. I explained at the beginning of the call that I was happy with the service and just wanted to know more about the cost breakdown. His terse reply was, ?We don?t do price break down.? I also explained to him I understand that there would be labor cost. But I also knew the average price for the part wasn't that expensive (Googled my capacitor online, you can get it for about $50-65). I just wanted to know what was the source of the difference in the price I paid versus the other prices I saw on Angie?s. He finally told me that they do flat rate pricing and the cost for replacing a single run capacitor was ~$135 and $265 for a dual run. I also put in another request for my E receipt. On 7/18/13, I still hadn?t gotten my receipt so I called the company again. This time, another nice lady answered my call. She took care of my receipt issue promptly and also gave me a clearer answer on the pricing. In addition to the difference in price for a single run versus a dual run capacitor, the company also recently (about a month ago) increased their pricing for the capacitor. Before, the total cost would have been ~ $288 to replace a dual run capacitor like mine. Now, my $364 made sense given the increase in price. Sometimes, a customer just wants to have things explained clearly and in a professional manner :) It is tough when your AC breaks and there is no time to shop around to find the best price during a heat wave. So I decided to call a few AC companies afterwards in the area and do a little price comparison. To replace a dual run AC capacitor 40/5/440, 1.Accurate Air Mechanical charges $89 for the trip, $152 to replace the same capacitor, no difference in single run vs. dual run capacitor. Total is $241. The lady I spoke to on the phone was very nice. 2. Sila Heating & Air Conditioning charges $89 for the trip. They won?t give me a quote unless the AC is examined by their own technicians. That?s fine. Every company has a different policy. The representative I talked to was also very professional. 3. Air Plumbing & Heating Solutions LLC charges $89 for the trip and $225 for replacing the same capacitor. Total is $314. The representative I spoke to didn?t know if there was a separate pricing for single run capacitor. Summary: Arundel Cooling, Heating & Electrical?s price for replacing a dual run capacitor is on the high end of the spectrum. But I was happy with their quick response and the quality of their service (my AC is still running fine as of 7/26). That?s why I gave mostly A ratings but a B rating for the price. I was tempted to give a B for professionalism but ended up giving it an A because it was just one representative I talked to who wasn?t as professional. Everyone else I interacted with at the company seemed quite nice. As for whether I would return to the company again for future service, it would depend partly on the price for the particular service I need.

They were prompt and punctual. They gave an estimate and it was right at what they said it would be.

Service was excellent; the provider arrived on-time and within budget. The technicians were prompt and professional, taking extra care in removing the old AC unit careful not to cause damge to the home interior and furniture. I absolutely recommend this provider for similar projects.

The person was punctual, professional and knowledgeable. He checked the cooling system to be ready for the summer months. Checked the humidifier, all the filters and cleaned the outside unit of debrie. Everything was fine. He didn't try to sell me something I didn't need.

This is the third time that we have used Arundel Heating and Cooling. They have excellent service that includes fast response time to emergency issues (ie: air conditioning not working on a 95 degree day), honest and thorough technicians, and fair pricing. When we called Arundel in the morning, a technician was available to look at the AC unit later that afternoon. They called ahead when they were heading over to our house and we didn't have to wait long for the technician. The problem was diagnosed quickly and fixed appropriately. The AC unit cooled the house down immediately. We are very grateful for their fast and thorough services!

The service guy was on time!!! It would have been nice if he had introduced himself, but he was really friendly. He didn't even mind my annoying dog who was looking over his shoulder most of the time! He answered all of my questions. Thanks Angie's List!!

Our service was provided by Billy and he was incredibly helpful. He did not try to sell us a new unit before properly diagnosing the problem (unlike another provider) and provided an appropriate repair option. He was honest and listened to our point-of-view. The cost was half what others quoted and more importantly, he actually took the time to figure out what was wrong. I will definitely be calling on your company in the future.

Walter was my technician and he did an outstanding job. He was waiting at my house as I hurried home from work (it was 95deg outside) and had me up and running in 20 minutes. Arundel Cooling was surprisingly responsive. I called about the A/C failure in the morning and they were there that afternoon... This week is supposed to be the warmest week of the summer! God Bless those guys!. Walter was friendly, professional and got the job done right... Much appreciated!

The air condition broke over the weekend. I called Arundel Heating and Cooling because they installed the air conditioner in my house. I left a message. They call me around 8:00 am, Monday morning and were at the house shortly after. I was not at home because I went to work, but my son was home to let them in. They were able to fix the air conditioner and they were nice about taking the payment by phone. They did a nice job. My Complaints are: They did not leave a written receipt with my son and I had to call the office to have them send me a receipt by email. I had a 10% discount coupon. The receipt showed the price I was charged but does not indicate that the 10% discount was given.

I liked their customer service and professionalism. It turned out great. I would use them again.
