The technicians showed up at the exact scheduled time and went to work immediately. After the air conditioner checkup was completed they explained everything they had inspected and the status of the AC unit. Work was completed extremely fast and both technicians were professional an courteous.

They arrived on time, and performed the tune-up professionally. There was some confusion about one aspect of the tune-up (coil cleaning), but after calling their office they resolved that confusion immediately. Overall, an excellent experience!

I took off work at 11:45 for my 12:00 - 2:00 service window, and the tech showed up at 8:00 pm after having no contact with anyone since 5:00 pm (at which point I gave up and left to go do errands). My tech was friendly enough, and I gave him an overview of the symptoms. I also mentioned that my heat pump may be a factor in the overall issue, since my heating bills were insanely high and I noticed my fan outdoors didn't seem to be running properly. After the inspection, the tech assured me that my heat pump was fine and I need 3 replacement parts in my air conditioning unit inside (a new control relay motor, a blower wheel, and a capacitor motor) totalling $746 after the 10% discount. I wasn't completely satisfied, so I got a 2nd opinion. I didn't say a word about the first diagnosis until the new contractor was finished evaluating the problem. He immediately noticed that the heat pump outside had an issue with a capacitor and replaced it for $91. He did NOTHING inside my house, and my air conditioning has been running fine ever since. I'm so glad I got a 2nd opinion with Accurate Air, Inc.! Don was professional, super knowledgeable, and more than willing to answer all my questions. It was clear he just wanted to resolve my problem and NOT sell me a bunch of new parts! A good, trustworthy HVAC tech is like a good mechanic...once you find one don't let go!

installation.AH&C has serviced my HVAC since they installed furnace/air conditioner/heat pump in 2002. Other than sometimes having a challenge on scheduling visits, they have done an excellent job maintaining our HVAC for the past 14 years. The advantage of their gold service contract is that it covers all semi-annual visits as well as a reduction in costs of any replaced equipment.

I purchased the $69 tune-up for my daughter's home. I also called and requested that the repairman fix a non-working vent while he was there, and told them that I understand that it would be an extra charge. I specifically asked that the repairman have enough time on his schedule to perform this task. I was told that the appointment would be between 10 and 12 and that I could phone in the day of for a more specific time. I called in the morning of the appointment and was told they would be at my daughter's home "early afternoon" The person I spoke with said that No-One told me 10 to 12. At 2 pm , I called and asked where the tech was. I was told that he was currently at a home, and had one more before me. I explained that this was no where near the 10-12 time frame, or the early afternoon. The person was very rude and put me on hold. While I was on hold, I had another call.....from someone else at the company. She informed me that the service tech was on his way. I told her I was currently on hold with someone else who had a different story and she offered to cancel my appointment. I told her to please have him come, we needed the vent fixed. I went ahead and waited to see if the really rude person came back on the line and hung up after 10 minutes. The service tech came right away. He was pleasant and professional. He held his hand over the vent and agreed that no air was coming out......... Then explained that it would be a separate appointment to put a camera into the vent to see what the problem was. I asked that he have someone come that day. He went outside to make the call and then told me that no-one could come and that I needed to wait for them to call me for another appointment. I called the office, rude person answers and informs me that they do not even have a camera. She askes to speak to repairman. He tries to tell her that he was told the camera was broken, and she hangs up on him! I again call the office, try to ask why I waisted my entire day to have repairman make the diagnosis that no air is indeed coming out of the vent with his hand. Without waisting anymore of my time explianing the rest of the phone call, I will offer this: Do not use this company .

Found the Freon to be gone. This prevented the completion of the job. Provided an estimate for the search for a leak and the service to fix the leak. I checked around with other HVAC companies and found one that could come out to do the leak search and fix sooner so when with that company.

Called the company to come fix the A/C. Called back first thing Monday morning. I had already had my issues repaired by a friend since no one got back to me.

Went fine. Estimator came, gave details and estimate. We decided to go with another company.

We just bought the house, so I was obviously interested in what the service person was going to say about the overall condition It was a very hot day and I started by pointing out that the cooling for the upstairs unit didn't seem to do very much. The service guy pulled the filters out and showed how dirty they were (he did not have replacement filters with him) and sais that could be restricting the air flow. OK, got that. He also said that the round flex tubing they use these days instead of the old ducts are inefficient deliverers of the air - another reason for the upstairs not being cooled sufficiently. Lastly he told me that the distribution of the vents was poorly designed. He also checked the 2 units outside and "discovered" that the one unit (for the hot upstairs) had a valve problem and recommended that we replaced the entire unit, which would cost about $3000. I obviously wasn't too happy to learn that and he sais another option would be to repair the current unit and that he would get the office to call me with a price on that. The office called the next day and quoted me $1900 for replacing the compressor in the unit. In the mean while I had decided to get a second opinion and a friend of mine recommended someone he knew. He cam out today, measured the pressure and determined that both units needed freon (one more than the other. It was not a valve problem. He added the freon and the unit immediately started cooling! It appears that the 20 point inspection and tune up did not even include checking for freon! What kind of a tune up is that? Had I not sought a second opinion I would have shelled out a lot of money on replacement or unnecessary repairs. And I am sking myself if all the critical comments to the design of the system was made in the hope that I would eventually aske them to redo the whole thing, when their "repairs" didn't seem to do the job. I very nearly wasted a lot of money on this and I cannot recommend to others to use this company. Could have been just that service technician, but then why do they not train their people better?

Knowledgeable and nice salesperson with years of experience; did thorough job assessing what was necessary, and made good suggestions for best cost-benefit. Installation went smoothly. Would happily hire again.

Easy to make a last minute appointment. Tech was professional and efficient.

Service provider responded very quickly. They could just not accomodate my tight schedule. Would definitely use in the future.

Technician that cam out was GREAT, very detailed, professional and informative. Didn't try to sell me anything, just serviced my unit and provided some recommendations. Will use again!

The provider thoroughly cleaned the furnace, including removing the innards and carefully scrubbing the sooty parts (I know this is not a technical explanation, but it is what he did). When he took the burners out, I was sure he would say they needed to be replaced; instead, he took them to his truck and cleaned them, too. He was focused on his work and meticulous in keeping the area as clean as he found it. I would absolutely use Arundel again.

It was a good experience. The guys were prompt. They came in and did the job on time. I was alright with the extra cost but I haven't done any research on how much the capacitor would cost, I just assumed that it was alright.

The service was performed according to the guidelines outlined in the Big Deal. I found the people who work for Arundel Heating and Cooling very courteous and efficient. I would call them again for service.

They were very very good to work with. The tech checked everything and gave me an efficiency rating. He fixed the thermostat and made sure my furnace was running at peak efficiency.

They were punctual, courteous, and remained onsite until the work was fully completed and tested. They explained the system operations thoroughly. Arundel was the middle of three bids, but the equipment they specified and installed, and their Angie's List ratings won them the job. I would use them again.

Our heat pump was not keeping the house heated to reasonable levels during recent extreme cold. Arundel Heating and Cooling said they could come out the next day but would not give me a window for the technician arriving. I was told, however, that I was second on the service list after the technician's visit to Halethorpe at 8:30am. As of 11:30am no one had arrived or called. When I called to inquire about arrival time I was told that they couldn't predict how long prior service calls would take and told I was still next on the technician's list. As of 1:30pm still no technician, and no update call from AH&C so I called again and told that the technician was now in in my town on another call. Clearly I had been shuffled down the list at least once if not multiple times, so being told I was next was meaningless. The technician arrived around 2:30pm and diagnosed the problem, which unfortunately required a part to be ordered. this was on a Friday. On Monday I received a call that the part was covered under my warranty which was great that they verified, and the part could be installed on Wednesday, so scheduled a service call for that day. Again no service window was provided, though I did not ask this time. There was no call from AH&C regarding installation time, aside from a call 30 minutes prior to the technician's arrival to say he was on his way. Overall, the service performed was good, but the communication was extremely poor. This may be due to work overload with a lot of customers having heating failures because of the unusually cold temperatures, but still left a bad impression.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it turned out not to be as good as I thought it was. They recommended some things be done and said some other things could not be done. I ended up paying for, what turned out from a second contractor to be, two times more Freon than what my system needed. I would not use Arundel again. When their service man came out he said I needed a certain amount of Freon so I paid an additional $99 and then it still did not work and still had the backup, which was the original problem. Then I had another provider come out and it turns out that I paid for more Freon than my unit would hold so Arundel heating took advantage. He was very professional and nice and in that way, I would not have hesitated to call them again had it not been for the unit continuing not to work. They were very professional and very nice but ultimately they did take advantage. They responded to my initial call to schedule the service quickly and he was right on time for the appointment.

This company was unbelievably fantastic! Our townhome is an older home. Additional duct work was required to do the install and new Freon lines were run through the ceiling and down the back wall of the house. The new Carrier system was top of the line - energy efficient. Staff did everything I asked without a single complaint. They explained what was needed to accomplish the install and kept me apprised every step of the way. The install took an additional day (typical install was two days) because of the additional work that was required. The staff was amiable, professional, did great work. A couple of the staff began to feel like family members. Very cordial. They cleaned everything up and they gave us the name of an individual who could do the sheet rock repairs (needed because of the holes cut in the ceiling and walls during the install). Even the individual they referred for the sheet rock work did a fantastic job! No complaints.

Very well. They came quickly, took care of the problem, and told us what to do if the same thing happens in the future.

AC breaker starwould fault after 5-10 minutes of the AC unit running. Flipping the breaker back was only a quick fix until it would happen again, meaning there was either something wrong with my AC condenser (which would require a cooling technician) or something wrong with my electricity/breaker box (which would require an electrician). Unfortunately I was not able to discern the problem myself, therefore I called Arundel Cooling. I schedule an appointment and the AC technician showed up on time. He spent a considerable amount of time inspecing the AC unit before determining that the problem must be electrical. At which point he told me he was not an electrician and I would need to place another service call (aka more $). I placed the call for an electrician the next day, to which he arrived on time. He too spent a considerable amout of time inspecting the AC unit before retreating to the breaker box. He was able to get the AC unit working without the breaker faulting for a considerable amount of time. At which point he told me he could not find the problem. With no solution in sight, the technician attempted to sell me frion, to which I declined. Nevertheless, the next day the breaker flipped again. The problem was still there. While my case was unique and seemingly the eighth wonder of the world, I decided to contact alternate company for their appraisal and service. Thankfully that company was able to discover the problem and fix it within the day. I don't necessarily think Arundel Cooling did a bad job, that said it wasn't a job well done either. However, they are responsive, polite and professional. I would likely not use them again based on this experience. Buyer Beware: Before calling for a service appointment, be clear about they type of technician you require. My case may have been an exception rather than the rule, but now I know better.
