The service provider was prompt and professional. He explained what he was doing and performed the promised services. He also offered to replenish the freon, which I suspected was low since it had been years since it had been filled, and I paid the additional fee (which was reasonable) for the freon. The whole process took approximately 2 hours so I felt like I had received my money's worth and then some. I would use Arundel again for my heating/cooling repairs.

Received a consultation and proposal for a new high efficiency HVAC system. Although we did not select Arundel Cooling, Heating & Electrical to perform the work, I wanted to share our experience. The company demonstrates excellent communication, punctuality and very competitive pricing. Jerry came to our home and performed a complete review of our existing system and advised us of the best system to meet our needs and budget. Jerry is extremely knowledgeable and thorough. Arundel is an excellent company and supplied a very competitive bid. Jerry responded very quickly to any and all questions we had during and after the initial consultation. He went to extra effort to make sure we were comfortable and well informed. We received estimates from several HVAC contractors and made the very tough decision. Even though we did not choose Arundel to perform the work, this company is *definitely* one to select for the job. Arundel is a top notch company with excellent customer service. Their ratings on Angie's List are a true demonstration of their abilities and you won't be disappointed.

It did not go well. I was told they would arrive between 8 and 12, they didn't show up till 12:55. No one called to tell me they were running late and no one apologized for being late. I paid for a 20 point inspection and got may half of what I paid for. No gauges ever came out to check the Freon level and no electrical tester was ever used either. The indoor coil was not cleaned, the condensate drain was not treated with an anti-algae product and the outside unit was cleaned by just spraying it with my hose. When the technician left I called Arundel to let them know how I was very disappointed and why. They offered to send another tech out to do it again, I told him no thanks I had already invested more then five hours and wasn't going to give them another minute of my time. I will never use them again, I feel they were running behind schedule and tried to make it up at my expense.

He is very professional, very polite, very thorough and very knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend him.

I've had an Arundel maintenance contract for my furnace, AC & water heater for years & was pleasantly surprised to learn that they also do electrical work. I think so highly of Arundel that I recommended them to my neighbor who bought a new furnace and AC from them. I bought the $300 special for 8 hours & wasn't let down. I scheduled the appointment one week after purchase. Tom was punctual, extremely knowledgeable, pleasant & hard working. We've used many electricians over the years and he is best. He exceeded our expectations & we will call for him for our future electrical needs.

There's nothing special. They were average in pricing. They did fine.

They charge $99 just for the diagnosis and then they charge you for the repair. Our furnace was still under warranty and they worked with the manufacturer to get the parts so that we don’t have to pay for the parts. The service guys spent a lot of time on the phone with them getting the parts. They were prompt, courteous, and professional, but the price was a little high.

They've been fine. There's no positive or negative because they've just done the inspection. They were friendly and they have not done any actual work at this point so I don't have much to say yet.

I was able to get an appointment immediately the next day. The dispatcher notified me 30-45 minutes before the arrival of the technican that they were on their way. Upon arrival, he immediately started to address the issue. I just needed to point to the themostat and the switch for the furnace. Thank you goodness the problem was with the heat sensor. A few strokes with the sandpaper and heat again. Yes, it a job I could have done myself but 1) I could not find the sensor 2) I should not mess with something that I have no clue about. I have used Arundel Cooling in the past. They have always been fast and the price was fair.

The system was checked and an estimate provided. Was told the coil was so filthy it couldn't be cleaned, had to be replaced. Told the furnace wasn't getting enough return air and was "choking" it off and the electrical wiring was the wrong gauge. Total estimate ~$2,000. No details on the estimate. However the lack of details, only a total is disconcerting to say the least. So I asked the estimate to just replace evaporator coil. I was given an estimate of $1600 to replace an evaporator coil on my system. The cost of these coils retail is from $400--$500. The quote said it included 4 hours of labor. You do the math. In fact, someone else was brought in and he did something very minor and it heats fine now. As I only called this company because of the rating on Angie's List, it makes me start questioning the value of this "list".

The mechanical aspects of the service were quite acceptable. But the financing part was not professionally handled. We were led to believe that if we paid in full in our first twelve payments, there would be no interest charge. Once their new heat pump had been installed, and we were given paperwork to sign, we were told we'd get a coupon book from the finance company and the first payment would be due in three months. I took what seemed to be the logical course. I made the payment in full, in twelve payments, starting with the first one in the coupon book. And then I discovered that a critical piece of the story had been withheld by the sales person - that we had to pay in full within twelve months of installation, or we'd be charged interest. I had acted in good faith, both on what the sales person said initially, and then on what the installer said, and in doing so I found I'd made an expensive - and preventable - mistake. In my view, Arundel Cooling & Heating ought to have explained the financing terms in detail at the outset. Its failure to do so led us to incur an interest charge of $518 that we hadn't expected, and could have avoided. If anyone on Angie's list decides to buy something from Arundel, with financing that Arundel lines up, they should be very very careful. In my experience, the financing terms described during the sales process won't match the terms of the actual financing agreement the customer signs once the installation has been completed. Act on what the sales person says and you could end up paying quite a bit more than you expected.

The company was able to schedule a visit within a day of my call, which was great because we had already been fussing with this issue for over 3 weeks (the home insurance provided through the seller's realtor sent a different company out three times, and they never fixed the problem). The technician, Billy, was extremely punctual. He spent a lot of time just investigating the problem--he was at our house at least 1.5 hours the first visit and about the same amount of time the second visit (on a Friday evening, no less! And he had another service call after us!). I really felt like he cared and took pride in his job. He discovered that the technician from our home insurance company's contractor replaced the wrong relay, and that's why the system was "running away." He also discovered that one of the dampers had fallen out of its slot, and wasn't responding when the lever was turned. Both of those fixes have increased the comfort level in our house a great deal. It was so worth paying Arundel Cooling to come out rather than mess with our home insurance's terrible contractor any longer. Billy is GREAT, and we will call them again if we have any more issues in the future!

The service wasn't super great, because they couldn't figure out what the problem was, and then I had someone else come in, who could quickly figure out what the problem was, so it wasn't my best experience. I had some issues with them not showing up on time.

It went fine. It worked out very well. There were no additional charges. It was very easy to set-up and they were prompt. The air conditioner works better now.

First on Arrival: The first time they were early and wanted to start before I got there So next time I wanted first appointment in the morning then they ere 1 1/2 hours late. The third time I went back to a 1 pm appointment and they could not make it. and wanted to schedule another days so I cancelled the Repair and I am going to another Company. On Pricing: When you ask for a detailed quote they DO NOT LIST the part number and price. All the quotes I got were summed into one dollar figure. I wanted 5 Gas shutoff valves installed and they quoted, for parts only, $282. In Home depot they were under$10 each, (under $50 total). That is a huge markup. Quality of Work: The repairman seem to replacing parts each visit with no result. I lost confidence in his ability and wanted to go elsewhere. I will NOT use this Company again.

The company quickly scheduled my service appointment for the same day. I was told that they would be at my house late morning or early afternoon. They would call about 30 minutes prior to the technicians arrival. They called around 1100 and the technician was on site by 1130. He completed his service call quickly and with confidence. The service call was great. I have no complaints or recommended improvements. I would highly recommend this provider.

Checked to make sure all was working properly to prepare for the winter.

All went well. I need them again, and remembered that I had not completed this review.

I had been dealing with an unresponsive home warranty company and low-bid service provider. After a week without movement, I cancelled and went looking for my own service provider. I called Arundel C&H and they were here the next day. They quickly diagnosed the problem and ordered the necessary parts. They kept me posted on the status of the order and were back to install in just a few days. The heat pump was out of level and the technician leveled it as part of the service. The next time we have H&C issues, we'll be calling these guys.

Company replaced thermal expansion valve on air conditioner - 3+ hour job. Now, just a few weeks later, air filter is soaked again, replicating the original problem. Misdiagnosed the problem? and cost me a lot of money. All of this after the unit was running fine until I signed up for their annual preventive maintanence. They came to inspect and complete preventive maintenance, saying everything was fine. Then a month later water drenched the air filter. It took 2 weeks for the part to come in, longer than promised. Then was told I'd be "first service call" in the morning - no show. Now, I call the company and recorded message says office hours are M - F, nothing on Saturday. Hopefully the repair of the repair will be covered under warranty. UPDATE - their office called first thing this monday morning and sent a tech who repaired the repair. I've adjusted the rating for the review with the hopes that the same problem doesn't occur a third time.

We found that they are very expensive. We did not use them because of their expense. They were fairly responsive to coming out and giving us an estimate.

The representative (Louis) arrived earlier than expected, listened to my description of the problem, and went to work. He found the problem quickly and fixed it. He then continued to make sure there were no other issues. All people I dealt with were professional and courteous, from setting up the appointment to the contractor. Reasonably priced (higher than some, lower than others).

It went well. I liked that they were prompt an on time. However they could have been a bit more prepared and meticulous with the inspections and recommendations. I let them know that the A/C unit was on the second floor but they didn’t bring the proper equipment and we had to borrow a ladder from a neighbor.
