The work went very well. Angelo did my estimate and he was very professional and thoughtful as to what would work in my space. My wife was with me and he actually addressed her as well, which is not something most contractors do. He came at 6pm to do the estimate and I was scheduled for 9am two days later. The guys who did the work, Joe and Lacy (sorry if I misspelled it!), were on time and professional. They had some suggestions and modifications from Angelo's initial estimate but they ran everything by me first before making major decisions. They completed the work in a timely manner and cleaned up after themselves very nicely. Time will tell the quality of the work, but the installation was a breeze. Make sure you have earplugs though, it can get pretty loud. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that Rhonda, the office manager, was very courteous and respectful as well. Will update after first major rainstorm.

The workmen were very hard-working and professional. They completed the work much sooner than I expected. They also answered all my questions and were very personable.

Their work was EXTREMELY well done. Repair team arrived promptly as stated. Their work was very well done. They put up a dust barrier to contain dust from jack hammer work. They enlarged and upgraded drainage pipe, and finished trench to nice even look with existing flooring. After completing work I had to contract them a leak which turned out to have nothing to do with their work. The office responded over the weekend and contacted early Monday morning. A technician arrived as stated and completed an additional repair within a couple of hours, at no cost. This is a wonderful group of people to work with.

Great! The company is very responsive..I noticed a damp spot on a concrete block, after about 2 weeks of completion. The crew came in promptly, drilled a few additional weeping holes and put in a vapor barrier.

Both the inspection and work completed as completed in a timely and professional manner. The estimate of work was clear and work was able to be scheduled within 3 business days following the signing of the contract. The contractors showed up promptly on time and completed work as scheduled. They asked me to come out and review work completed following each step outlined in the contract. I was very appreciative of them wanting to ensure that I understood what was being done. So far no problems. We also received a warranty in the mail as promised within a week of the work being completed.

I called to have an estimate done on my home since there was a 1 ft crack in the cement foundation. AA sent Jason to my home to take a look. Jason arrived in the time window I was given. He was very professional and answered all my questions. Although the crack was superficial, I appreciated Jason's time and professionalism in helping me assess my problem. Would definitely call this company again in the future.

Salesman was very helpful. Provided estimate that day for both an interior and an exterior protection system. Work crew showed up when expected. Very friendly and worked quickly. Answered all our questions.

We were really pleased with AA Action and think they went above and beyond. It was definitely a bigger project and investment than we anticipated, but Paul was extremely helpful in explaining the issue and and the whole crew was punctual, professional and very hard working. We had the work done back in April right as we entered a really rainy spring, so we were grateful to have the system in place. We had some water right afterward with the first rain and Paul made himself available after hours to take a look and the team was out here promptly to address the issue. We've found the office and all involved to be really knowledgeable and responsive. We would highly recommend them!

I appreciated their quick response. After having one company tell me they didn't come to Bowie because they were located in Silver Spring, I was skeptical that Action would come from Linthicum. Angelo came out, assessed my situation and we discussed my options. My job was originally slated to take 2 days, but they completed the work in one. They installed 2 drainage systems at the side of my home. One, I had done as a preventative measure; the other was out of necessity since my sump pump discharge and gutter downspout, located side by side, were creating a swamp alongside the rear of my home. In the basement, they removed the drywall on 1 side, exposing 2 cracks in my wall where water was seeping in. They installed some type of wall covering and a drainage pipe in the floor along the wall leading to the sump pump. They did a fantastic job of cleaning up the mess and debris. There was nearly no dust evidence that they used a jack hammer to break up the floor. They also updated my sump pump and sump pump well to minimize the noise. Although we have yet to have torrential rains and flood like conditions which precipitated my issues, I can say at this time that I am pleased with the company and their work.

Very well. Instead of talking me into doing work, George showed me how our issue was less significant than I thought, and suggested we try some simple remediation methods for now, and then wait to see if we needed the expensive work. This put my mind at ease and probably saved us a lot of money and effort.

Everyone in the company that I dealt with was professional, courteous, punctual, patient and knowledgeable.

They were very nice and professional from start to finish of the job. They answered phone calls and came out promptly to give an estimate on the work. The estimator took a lot of time to answer all my questions, showing pictures where applicable to explain everything. The foreman brought the crew on time both days, and he answered all my questions before, during, and at the end of the project without hurrying me or making me feel I was wasting his time. All the work seems right from what I can tell. We haven't had any rain yet, but they have a lifetime warranty that will cover the work if any water comes in. When the crew came out, they saw that we didn't need one of the window well taps that was in the contract because the window was far enough above grade. Without us even having the ask, the company corrected our price to reflect not putting that in.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Action Waterproofing for the outstanding job they did on my foundation repair job. The crew they sent was very professional and extremely hard workers. They cleaned up every day before they left so you could not even tell they had been here. They were very friendly and answered any questions I might have had. I would like to give special thanks to their senior field Inspector Steve Wilson. He went out of his way and beyond his job description by coordinating work I needed with the pest control company when termites were found and with the electrical contractors to bring power to the sump pumps which were installed. A A Action Waterproofing was great from start to finish. We really needed a team with great knowledge and experience for the issues we were having in our basement. Rob and Paul Frederick were awesome and found a way for us to fit in all of the work that was needed within our budget. Thanks guys!

Although we had some extensive mold remediation done in our basement last summer, we did not believe it was enough to prevent water seepage through cracks in the wall and floor. Paul Frederick, Senior Project Manager of this company, came out twice to see our basement and make recommendations for waterproofing the interior. After interviewing eight companies, we chose this company based on quality of proposed work, ratings, experience, price, and lifetime transferable warranty. At Paul's recommendation, we requested that Mike Brady's team do the work. What exactly did they do? In the preparatory phase they covered the ceramic tile floor in the front hallway with protective paper, moved all the furniture and plastic bins to the center aisles and walls opposite the proposed trench areas, moved a long row of suitcases to the family room upstairs, covered everything (including a washer, dryer, and one ceiling vent) with plastic, contained the entrance to the work site at the bottom of the basement stairs with plastic, turned off the heating system, and installed a HEPA vacuum to direct the dust and mold out the basement window. Then they began the noisy, dusty work of jackhammering about 1 foot of concrete on the outer edge of the existing floor to expose the face of the footer for a distance of 134 feet. They also removed 1 foot of drywall from the bottom of the wall in the finished side of the basement. Since we have no basement door going directly outside, they hauled out the debris in plastic buckets climbing up and down the basement stairs and walking through the first floor hallway. They dug a free-flow drainage channel around the perimeter of the basement. They laid down a black geo filter cloth to prevent mud from clogging the waterflow. They installed a 4-inch perforated pipe in the trench surrounded with gravel on all sides. They installed a mira-drain/drainboard in the trench. They removed an improperly installed submersible sump pump and filled in the pit containing it. They installed 2 new sump pumps in opposite corners of the basement to transport the water outside. After drilling a hole in the wall they installed discharge pipes flush against the wall and extending 3 feet beyond the house. Then they laid down a plastic vapor barrier at the top of the trench. Finally they sealed everything with a layer of concrete level to the existing concrete floor. On a daily basis they cleaned up everything (including hosing the driveway) and hauled away trash. The project took 5 days of hard labor, Monday through Friday, plus another 5 days for the concrete to dry. Although Mike Nicholson, Quality Control Manager, came once at the beginning of the project, he graciously agreed to return a week later to check the quality of the work, walk us through the site, move the washer, dryer, and a few file cabinets back, and collect the final check. The company also sent a hard copy of the final receipt along with an owner's manual. The foreman, Mike Brady, was especially methodical and meticulous, and all of the men were hard-working, punctual, professional, and congenial. Since this company does not do electrical work, we recently hired another company to install an electrical panel and 4 circuits for the 2 sump pumps and 2 dehumidifiers. After a little over six weeks the basement is now completely dry, fresh-smelling, and ready for finishing. We highly recommend this company.

The inspector that came talked a lot about a lot things that can go wrong (but were not wrong) but failed to notice an important issue with sump pit piping. I have been quoted extremely high costs for work (without this problem being noticed) and the inspection report was send through personal email not business email- unprofessional behavior. I had to run some experiments myself to find the issue and once I emailed the inspector he completely gone different direction and did not make sense at all- he is referring to clogging and I know/have seen how water hose water runs through the leak into sump pit (if there was a clog, no water would make it). I question his knowledge of the matter. I am very disappointed with the advise, cost of service and professionalism.

It went okay. We got an estimate for $49. We got officially an estimate because it is hard to go to an engineer. I can't grade price because I didn't get a priced price. For quality, I didn't have any service done. They were on time. They were professional.

The concrete patio was removed, along with the fence all around it. The foundations were exposed. A 7-foot crack was found on one end of the back corner wall of the house, and a smaller one on the end other end. The corner walls were reinforced at each end and underpinnings in between both ends were used to provide more support. Inside the house, the floor of the family room downstairs was excavated all along the length of the house, on a width of about 2 feet (?). Gravel was used to fill in the holed-out area to ensure better water filtration, and when everything was done a layer of concrete was poured to restore the floor to a point where I could have it refinished. It was messy, dusty, noisy, lengthy, and costly. To make matters worse, by the time my home equity loan came through, it was early January. The work started on the Monday in January that would bring us the 2016 blizzard. Needless to say, this slowed down the work since workers could not even gain access to my house for many days. When it was time to pour the concrete on the floor in the family room, that was also delayed because of the weather. The cement company cannot mix the concrete when the temperature is too low. AA Action Waterproofing provides the services of a structural engineer, but they contract out the work of digging out and making repairs, with the engineer overseeing the work. I cannot speak highly enough of the guys who worked in my house for about a month. They dealt with rain, snow, severe cold, difficult access -- my house is built on a slope, and there was no way to bring a truck right where the construction debris was generated. They showed up for work when they were supposed to and worked really hard. They were always very polite and friendly. Fortunately, everything that they removed was old, and I was planning to take out a home equity loan to redo the patio and the family room in the spring anyway. I would have been devastated if that part of the house had already been upgraded. Of course, I can't do as much home improvement as I wanted to since $25,000 went to AA Action Waterproofing. But at least I am reassured that my house will not collapse! From what the engineer said, my house had not reached the point where I had to act ASAP. But I had to do something if I didn't want my house to become worthless. Apparently, with these problems, the deterioration is very gradual. Then you get a tipping point, and damage occurs very quickly. There could have been better communication between the structural engineer and myself. I did not realize the extent of the "damage" that would be done inside. Also, I did not mind losing access to my TV (I have one upstairs), but I hit the roof when I came home one day and did not have internet access. I work from home twice a week, and often put in some work in the evening or early morning in addition to putting in a full day at work. I was furious, and, frankly, not nice at all. What matters, however, is how the company and the workers reacted when they got my screaming phone calls in the evening. They apologized and told me they would restore internet access to me every evening at the end of the day, if they needed to disconnect it. They also told me when I would not have access during the day, ahead of time, and for hour long, so that I could plan to go to work instead or go to Starbucks/the library. Writing this, I feel bad that I was so nasty to them. They were true to their word, and I have a lot of respect for them. Currently, I am in the process of having the family room repaired/remodeled extensively. It is also messy, dusty, not so much noisy, but definitely costly too. And UNBELIEVABLY LENGTHY. I am dealing with a provider who is much, much less responsive than AA ActionWaterproofing and its contractors were. They worked hard to get the job done well. My current provider drags the process on and on and on and on. Still, I hope I never, ever need the services of AA ActionWaterproofing! I can think of other ways to spend my money. But I would definitely recommend the company to someone who would need the same services as I did.
