Angelo provided us with two estimates, one for improvements to exterior drainage, one for an interior solution (sump pump and french drain). He was knowledgeable and professional, answered all our questions, and provided his estimate on a timely basis. In the end, we decided to hire a concrete company to rebuild our front walk and install drainage during the process. If that solution fails to stop the water, we plan on contacting Angelo and AAction for the interior solution.

The workers did a fantastic job on a complete sump pump installation. We were fortunate that we were performing a basement remodeling project as the installation required demolition of part of the floor and associated drywall. The workers arrived on time (as scheduled), were very professional and cleaned up at the end of the project. Well done.

I called about a dozen waterproofing companies as I am having a problem with drainage in my yard. I have about 40 feet of french drain that drain into a drywell. The well has filled several times this year and I am looking for a solution to drain the well. Called these guys and they were the only ones willing to give me a consultation and run through a variety of scenarios and solutions to help. All other companies wanted to come out and look and check everything out, which I get. But, sometimes I just need to talk to someone to get a feel of what the deal is and what solutions there are and these guys were the only ones willing to give me some of their time.

It's always best to get multiple opinions. If I had paid $10,000 for the repair (which I didn't have) and ended up finding out that insurance companies could have taken care of the problem completely, I would have been extremely upset and probably tried to go to court to get a full refund because I would have felt that I had been cheated which may not have been the case. The company, as far as I'm concerned misdiagnosed my problem and I hope it was not on purpose.

Great service, thorough and well explained. I fully expect to use them to repair the issue.

Inspector was helpful but not as thorough as other companies I contacted who did free inspection. Decided to go with another company and am very satisfied with their work.

It went okay. It took a little long to get the report back than I wanted. They came out when they were supposed to come out. They could have gotten my report back to me sooner.

Vendor came on the scheduled date and inspected the foundation, which was exposed in the problem areas (cracks in front, one crack in back). The vendor recommend that we excavate part of the front of our house and waterproof part of the front wall/foundation for $4500. For the back wall, the vendor recommended that we apply epoxy and Kevlar mesh for $4000. Vendor followed up on initial review - which was appreciated as it demonstrates concern and commitment to customer satisfaction. It would have been helpful to more clearly separate the Big Deal inspection we paid for and options for repairs from the actual quotes to make repairs. As part of the Big Deal package, the vendor did have useful suggestions - particularly for exterior water management solutions. However, as presented, it felt like we had paid $49 to receive a quote vs. free quotes from other vendors.

The gentleman who came out was very professional and knowledgeable. He did move quite fast but was relatively thorough.

Mr. Janouris arrived promptly at noon to our residence, where he executed a very professional assessment of our retaining wall issue. In the past rainy months, we have had stones and fill leaking from a small relief hole that was previously cut in the wall prior to us purchasing the home. Mr. Janouris examined this leak in detail and informed us of what can be done to prevent any further issues in the future--essentially indicating that we could do it ourselves for relatively little money. He then kindly took it upon himself to look at the rest of the homes foundation and point out a few other potential issues which might cause us problems down the road. This was greatly appreciated by myself and my fiancee. We know that there are some contractors who will find issues with the home, and attempt to throw large quotes at the couple in the hopes of landing a large contract. Mr. Janouris did not do this, nor did he urge or attempt to sell us on anything that we didn't need. This visit and assessment was a very educational one, and if our home needs any foundation work in the future we will definitely be giving Mr. Janouris and A A Action Waterproofing a call.

On October 22, 2015, Angelo Janouris met with my dad and me to give an estimate on the waterproofing of my basement. My house is 98 years old, and the basement air quality was poor, water was seeping through the bricks, the sheetrock was damp and moldy, and vines had started growing through the walls and underneath the flooring. Mr. Janouris was very professional, patient and detailed in his answers when questions were asked. He did a complete walk through of the basement and not only pointed out what needed to be done, but explained why I was experiencing dampness and mold. Having received other estimates, I decided to accept this agreement. What my dad and I liked most about Mr. Janouris is that he was all business, knowledgeable and it didn?t feel like he was trying to up sale services. He provided a detail listing of the work to be done and advised that the project would take three to four days. On Monday, November 16, 2015, Mike Brady and his crew started the project, which included the removal of sheetrock, installation of a wall drain core, subfloor pressure relief system, installation of a heavy duty sump-pump system, vapor barrier, a fungicide treatment and a drain outside my basement door. It was so refreshing to come home from work every day and actually see the completed stages of the project. The project took four days. When the job was completed, Mr. Brady did a final walk through, advised how to maintain the sump pump, answered questions on how the system worked, advised me to get a dehumidifier to control humidity levels and to open the windows in the basement from time to time for air circulation. I am happy with the results. It?s been a long journey renovating this 98 year old property. Some of my experiences with businesses and contractors have been nightmarish, some have been positive and have given me the motivation to continue with the renovation. This experience has been positive and I feel confident in the quality of work. Mike Brady and his crew did a great job! They were professional, hardworking, courteous and did a fantastic job cleaning up throughout the project. I will recommend AA Action Waterproofing to my neighbors and family.

In preparation for renovation, had basement evaluated for moisture. Knowledgeable contractor gave me a lot of tips and sent a very detailed report within a few days. thought it was educative and worth the money for consultation.

Took three days to tear out floor and do the work - work men were punctual, informative and courteous. They covered everything in basement with strong plastic to protect from the dust. They kept me informed through out the process. The work was done neatly and everything finished nicely. The company is concerned about creating an on-going relationship with the customer and it really shows as they went the extra mile for excellent customer service.

Professional was on time. He proved to be extremely knowledgeable and passionate about water issues in basements. He gave me some tips to help me and may neighbor avoid water issues. I could not be happier.

The salesman was very knowledgeable and personable. The work was done in a timely manner. Lifetime warranty. The good thing about the warranty is its transferable. That was a real plus for us! Haven't been there for a heavy rain to see if it's working.

There are high pressure sales companies and their there are water proofing experts. We had a moisture problem in our home at the bottom of a hill and I called three companies to come out and give their advise and estimates. One company, which had already done work in our home prior to us moving here and buying this home, sent a guy out telling me all this work that needed to be done and that the original work was faulty and needed to be replaced, NOT LOOKING at the notes and realizing THEY DID THE WORK and it was guaranteed. They call me everyday trying to get me to do the work. The other company was good but A Action Waterproofing sent George Hoody out, who is a true professional, expert and pioneer in the industry. He wasn't trying to sell me anything and merely gave me the advise that he didn't think much needed to be done. They were good. They didn't communicate the need for the workers to wait for the inspection notice before they filled in the drain that they dug. It was concrete and the workers didn't realize that what they were doing needed to be inspected in other company. Doing that type of work, you should know that. Whoever you subcontract that to, your workers should be aware of that. That was my only issue. I was able to resolve that issue with AA Action. They were good on price.

They were terrific. We had simply ignored our (unfinished) wet basement issues for years, since we planned eventually to significantly remodel. Once that plan changed, we contacted AA Action and another contractor for their assessments & prices. They both had expensive estimates for an exterior system, but AA Action recommended the interior system as a better way to go, and it was nearly 1/3 the cost of the exterior and included a lifetime warranty. We hired them, and they were extremely professional, from scheduling to installation. Once completed, for several weeks it worked beautifully through several significant rains, until one day there was a breach and mud/water ran across the basement floor. We believe that the source of this breach was not something they could have anticipated; this is an old cottage in S. MD w/lots of structural quirks... We called AA Action back to the house, and they didn't blink - completely honored their warranty. They pinpointed the source, and ended up digging an exterior system anyway. There was never any talk about any additional costs to us for the additional work. Our basement has been completely dry ever since. Our rep Steve was great, they were all professional, and we're extremely happy with them. I've recommended them once already and would do so again.

Good. I asked for a change in materials and to my surprise received a material change more to my liking with no additional cost. The installers performed the work to my complete satisfaction.

The provider was very competent and helpful. The quote offered to make repairs was very expensive. I was unable to purchase their services at this time.

I can't express how happy AA Action Waterproofing has made me! They were my 4th and final estimate to have a damp corner in my house fixed. 3 companies told me they had to take down drywall, dig up my concrete floor to install drains and a sump pump. Project manager George Hoody from AA Action got to my house a little early (a few minutes before I got home) and had evidently taken a look around outside. When he came inside, I took him down stairs and he pointed to the corner and said that's where the leak is, right? I asked how he knew and he said lets go outside and I'll show you. He showed me where my gutter was draining right to that corner. To fix the problem I need a gutter extension, and I have to regrade the dirt so water flows away from my house. He was almost certain this would fix everything. A cheap DIY fix. The other companies wanted to charge me THOUSANDS!!! After all was said and done, George even sent me an email detaining exactly what I needed to do to fix the problem. I will be doing the work this weekend and if this doesn't fix the problem, without a doubt I'll be using AA Action to fix it. George has restored my faith that not all contractors are out to make a buck. There are still honest ones out there!!!

So, how is this for honesty? I was told by a handyman that I needed the basement sealed as one of the walls had a damp spot that would not go away after the handyman fixed a small leak. As usual, I went to Angie's List, and booked A A Action Waterproofing to come out and seal the basement. So here I am, ready and willing to pay for a basement seal. Once they looked at the problem, A A Action Waterproofing informed me I do not need a seal at all, I just had a small leak, (that was not correctly fixed.. by said handyman) and all I had to do was repair the leak and the wall would dry. (See my review on Chesapeake Plumbing) The inspector (Ken) was polite, efficient and very knowledgeable. This all had taken place during our recent record breaking rainfall. They were able to come out quickly. And they did not even charge me. It is nice to know companies like this still exist. Now, when was the last time you had a company tell you that you didn't need to spend extra money! You gotta love that! My hat's off to A A Action. They are now in my favorites list, and will be the first company I call and recommend. (and next time, I will find a handyman on Angie's list) Love Angie's List
