It was very satisfactory. They did a good job. They were very polite, very nice, very accommodating and it was a good experience. They had to come back to finish off some work which they did which is not a problem, they came back but it wasn't all finished at one time. They did come back and they were most accommodating so that was not a problem in any way. We had several estimates and they were all kind of in the ball park; they were all comparatively close so I just assumed that that's what the price is going to be. I think at least, we had three different people come in and give us estimates. They were on time.
Description of Work: They trenched the whole way around the basement of ground of four walls and then made it so that the basement would be dry.

We made an appointment for the crew to arrive but we were never told the appointment was for the afternoon and not the morning., so we took the entire day off of work when we could have only taken the afternoon. By noon and there was no phone call and no show, we were very concerned. When I called at noon, I was told the service was a 2 1/2 hour job and could easily be done in an afternoon. I was also told to expect a call 1 hour prior to arrival. By 2 pm, I was annoyed and called to question the arrival. I told BDry that this service could NOT be rescheduled and they had to come today. I received a call from the crew foreman at 2:30 to inform me that they ran into problems at the first call and would be at that home for another 3 hours. I told him they had to come today, so I expected to see them at 5:30. He hesitantly agreed. At 5:30, I called to find out where the crew was and I received a call back at 6 pm from the foreman telling me they were just leaving Dundalk (the other side of town) and would be there as soon as they could in rush hour traffic. When the crew arrived at 7 PM they began working ... jackhammering and such. Luckily my neighbors didn't complain! At 11 PM, they stopped working and said they needed to return the next morning at 8:00 am. So then someone else in my home had to take yet another day off of work to accommodate them. My frustration does not lie with the crew, as they were the best part of this experience. they were professional and courteous. My issue lies with Bill, our Salesman, who gave us his number and said "call me day or night." Well when we called him it went straight to a voicemail that was completely full. And yes I tried ....day and night! So if a salesman gives you his number, try calling that number before he leaves your home and before you sign a contract! I'm also frustrated at the mismanagement of the scheduling and operations of the crews. If you have an a second appointment and the crew runs into problems you do not wait until the hour they are supposed to arrive to say they will be another 3 hours on the first job. It is unacceptable! If you want my money, you must respect my time!

Day one went fantastic. Butch and Brad arrived on time and went straight to work doing all of the jack hammering and other prep work for the installers. They were both very proactive in identifying potential issues with things they weren't even working on as well as keeping us posted throughout the day with what they were doing and what we should expect. They were great. Day two was ok. Had a new Crew with Corey as the lead and he did a decent job of answering my questions. The crew was removing all of the concrete and installing the drains and sump pump, so it was a fairly labor filled day. Day three was the exact opposite of what we experienced on day one. Corey was the lead again and it was clear that the new crew that day wanted to go home. They were very rushed and a lot of sloppy work was done. There was no walk through of what we should do now, how to operate the sump pump/Blue Canyon....just packed up and left. When the Blue Canyon was installed, we were never informed that a large pipe would be sticking out of our floor, nor that it would be as loud as it is. The attitude of the gentlemen installing it was like "oh well." They eventually moved the pipe away from the wall, but they weren't happy about it. Upon further inspection, there was a lot of sloppy work. All of the finishing work was very poorly done. ie: concrete work had divots in the floor, could see daylight around the pipes going out of the house, concrete was rough and not smooth, Blue Canyon pipe outside wasn't fastened to the house properly. It just looked bad! After three weeks, everything was addressed and fixed. It was just unfortunate that it was required. Overall, I think the sump pump is fine. It's only been a few weeks since its been installed. We are, however, very disappointed with the Blue Canyon system. It is fairly loud and you really can't turn it off. Plus, there is a pipe sticking out of my floor that is pretty ugly. Had I known that was necessary, we would not have gotten it. If their entire team could be made up of Butch, Brad, and Mike (one of the guys who came out to fix the sloppy work) this would have been a completely different experience.

B-Dry Waterproofing sent Keith Miller to be my inspector. He was prompt, helpful, and very thorough with his suggestions and estimate. Due to the simplicity of the problem, I appreciate his do-it-yourself solution and low cost estimate if my initial work wasn't successful. All the other estimates were originally around $9500. However, B-Dry was only the company that included the electrician, plumbing, replacement of the basement stairs, and all labor associated with this project. They did the work very well. Everything was covered in plastic, and they cleaned up the site very well. We recently had a heavy rain, and there was some leaking in the area around the furance. They came out right away to retrench this area and corrected the problem

I was referred to B-Dry by a friend after I had several people provide erroneous opinions and diagnoses for a water problem in my basement. I even received an erroneous diagnosis from someone I had found on Angie's List, and was so grateful for his suggestions that I gave him a stellar review. At least he was honest enough to not allow me to hire him for a job that he was not equipped to perform. Turns out that the diagnoses and suggestions I received prior to B-Dry coming to my home, would not have solved the problem, which actually stemmed from a blocked drainpipe into which the water feed tube coming from my humidifier was draining. The sad thing is that I had suggested to the first service professional, an HVAC technician, that it might be the heating system or the humidifier, but after checking, he convinced me that the water was coming from the opposite direction, and possibly from outside. I was right and he was wrong, but he was the professional and I took his word. Eventually a friend suggested B-Dry, and they were very prompt in sending a certified inspector, Brad Hopkins, to evaluate my situation at a time that was convenient to me. Brad quickly analyzed the situation and identified the problem as the result of the backed-up drain and the constantly flowing water coming from the humidifier water feed tube. Once I turned off the humidifier, the water stopped. Brad did not charge me for his diagnosis, and his knowledge and ability to assess the situation surpassed that of anyone who had surveyed the problem during the seven weeks of siege. I highly recommend B-Dry, and I am especially grateful to Brad Hopkins.
Description of Work: Brad Hopkins diagnosed a problem almost immediately that several others were unable to do, and he was correct. He could have charged me for unnecessary work, but he didn't and for that I am very grateful.

The sellers of our house contracted with B-dry to waterproof the celler. Weeks after we moved in, we discovered a "bloom" near the edges of the new cement. We contacted B-dry to discuss this and it took almost a week to get a call back. I suggested it might be efflourescence but the service manager insisted it was highly unlikely. Rather it was probably mold which is not covered under the B-dry warranty. We had the basement tested for mold and the results came back as normal. Follow up calls to B-dry went unanswered. Finally, I scrubbed the concrete with muriatic acid and the "bloom" disappeared. It turned out that their waterproofing service was fine but the customer service was far less than adequate. The warranty is transerrable and hopefully this won't be the case if I need them in the future.

The foreman doing the work was arguing with me and was very rude. They left a total mess. Nothing was graded and they left big holes. They pulled the carpet up in the basement and never put it back down. I called them out to fix the issues, but not everything was resolved. It was the worst experience of my life.
Description of Work: When we had an earthquake, our foundation cracked. They burnt the meter box. They drove their equipment across my neighbor’s driveway and cracked the driveway. They tore my entrance cable and that’s about $1,500 to repair which will be out of my pocket. They dug into the electrical line and all my neighbors were without power for almost 10 hours.

Are you sure you are not confusing B-Dry with someone else in the service industry? According to our records, you seemed to have described that your experience with our company was exceptional in our After-Job Survey. We asked if our work was done as described on your Job Plan and you replied that "The work was completed as described in the work plan". We asked about the performance of the crew and you stated that "This was a very high performance crew, they worked non stop" and that "The entire crew was a pleasure to deal with and talk to". Finally we asked about the the clean-up after the job and you stated that "The clean-up was what I expected". I also see that someone came back to your home after the job was completed and hooked up your drainage/downspouts that was left unhooked after our installation. We do apologize for that inconvenience. We have tried to contact you multiple times after seeing this review and would love the opportunity to speak with you and try to appease you in any way that we can. They did exactly what they said they’d do and it was fine. The work was relatively successful. They did make a huge mess. They could have possibly handled clean up better. Their work did not, in itself, solve the problem. We also had to do some re-grading outside the house and replace some drainage pipes. The combination of these two efforts seemed to solve the problem.
Description of Work: About 3-5 years ago, we hired them to put in drainage around the perimeter of the basement and have it lead to a sump pump. It was a tricky job because of the water coming down the foundation wall.

Sorry to hear that you did not feel that you had the best experience with B-Dry. I'm not sure why we would have used "several men" other than your job was on the larger side. B-Dry will show the customer any stage of the process that the customer would like to see if they are available. B-Dry also shows what type of pipe and other materials that we use throughout the process during the initial inspection. It could have been that you were not available as our crew was finishing the various processes of our installation therefore you could not see what was going on during the installation. Please understand that our crews stay busy all year and typically would not have time to wait to finish the project because they have to be prepared for their next job. B-Dry does apologize for the fact that there may have been some dust left after the job. Our crews are dealing with pneumatic hammers and concrete so there is a chance that some dust was left in some corners and crevices of your home. As stated above, we do apologize for that inconvenience. If you are having any type of issues with our system, please feel free to contact B-Dry at any time and we would be more than willing to come to your home and address any issues that you may be having.

I interviewed about five companies for my basement waterproofing. Many of the companies expected me to move heavy objects away from the walls, or they would charge extra. This company included moving the objects away from the walls in their quote. They also will bring their own plumbers and electricians come in to disconnect and then reconnect those utilities during the project. They have an architectural design engineer who has certified their product as a superior basement waterproofing product. I was concerned that the company had been sued. However the regional manager was very responsive and addressed my concern by letting me know that the person who had sued them had actually decided to go through with a different company. The manager told me that they would have been happy to honor the repairs until the person wanted to go with a different company.
