Safety, Aesthetics, the Right Work the First Time This electrician was recommended when we couldn't schedule with original independent electrician. He began the job assessing the work that had been done and found some safety concerns. He fixed a wire that could possibly arc, and installed smoke detectors in the living areas of the basement (these were not even addressed by the first electrician). Since he was finishing the space, it was important for it to look nice. Most of it was pretty straight forward but there were two things he did to make it look even better. One was the placement of the light above the mirror in the bathroom. The mirror isn't installed, so he asked us for our preference in placement. He adjusted the fixture height because of the bevelled edge on the mirror and the globes of the fixture. Also he spray-painted the exterior of the bathroom exhaust vent to match the color of the house vs. leaving it the standard white. That attention to detail sets my mind at ease. I don't have to worry that there are any problems with his work hiding behind the switchplates or the drywall. He was very punctual and worked quickly, but was kind and willing to explain what he was doing along the way. He encouraged us to think beyond this project when making some of our choices,since we have plans to do more future improvements in the basement. We hadn't considered much beyond the current project, but his advice made sense. Ultimately his ideas meant he didn't do as much work this time around, but knowing that he is willing to do the right thing, in spite of the profit loss, means I'll definitely be calling him in for the future work! I wish we had used him from the very beginning.

I called American Eagle Electric Co. and talked to Ross Payne. He tried to solve my problem over the phone at first which was different and much appreciated. But after a short conversation we decided that he would need to come out. He was available right away and showed up about 30 mins after the call ended. It turned out after troubleshooting that I had a short in one of my circuits that turned out to be caused by an outside outlet without a GFI plug. He replaced the plug and since I had a hour or so left of the minimum 3 hour service charge I had a few questions concerning other electrical issues I had been having. One of those issues was my point of use water heater for my utility tub and washer in the garage that had quit working. He was able to help me reset the hot water heater that I had thought was toast which allowed me to return the replacement water heater that I had bought. $200 saved! Ross was very professional and courteous. I would definitely recommend him to anybody that is in need of an electrician.
