Description of Work: Cleaned out area where two trees had been removed and had mounds of wood chips. Put soil and topsoil and turf on both. Roughed up large bare area, used topsoil and seed. Did machine edging on lawn. Gave instructions for watering.

Description of Work: We hired Complete Lawn Care after meeting with Eric and talking through and prioritizing our very long list of things we wanted to address in our yards. We have had a lawn and leaf service for a few years, but had not been terribly satisfied with their quality and attentiveness. | |After meeting Eric at Complete Lawn Care, we knew we wanted to do business with his company. Eric set up an appointment, showed up promptly and took his time thoroughly walking the perimeter of our back yard, letting us tell him what we wanted, what we had tried to do, and what were our priorities. | |When I received the proposal a few days later as promised, the pricing was very reasonable for half year's mowing, fertilization/weed treatment, gutter cleaning, leaf removal, and also carving out, cleaning up, and pruning the long bed (40 ft? wide) along our rear fence-line. In addition, we are also going to do a design consultation to complete the rear bed and others with new plantings, and get some of the unhealthy bushes in front treated to bring back into good health. | |Since we signed the proposal, we have had about three weeks of service including three mows, 1 gutter cleaning, 1 weed treatment, and the long bed on the rear fence is complete. They have done a great job so far! I'm very pleased with the look of the rear bed and the frequency of the mowing - and the mowing crew shows up like clockwork at the same time every week! | |Still waiting to have the design consultation, and the unhealthy bushes haven't begun treatment yet, but I hope to have both soon and expect to be pleased with those results as much as I have been with everything else so far. |

Description of Work: We bought a yearly contract for lawn fertilization, weed control, etc. Previously we were using a larger company and noticed that the lawn was not looking as good as it should after years of service. We decided to switch to a smaller company. So far, so good, although we have had only one treatment so far. The grass did green up much better than previously, so we have high hopes. Good communication from this company.

Description of Work: Complete Lawn Care (CLC) prepared 1,213 sq feet of land for a conservation easement, which included the planting of trees and shrubs, and built a rock creek bed to handle excessive water runoff in late 2010. This was by far our largest single job for CLC and it was handled perfectly from beginning to end, from selecting trees and shrubs that not only were native to Maryland but also did well in wetlands. Even the rock bed has appealing design elements. Apart from this one assignment, we have worked with CLC for about 8 years. The owner, Eric Wenger, is a University of Maryland grad with a degree in his chosen field. He keeps up with published reports about plant care and lawn maintenance. His approach to lawn and plant care is thoughtful. We are on a basic, annual maintenance program with CLC, but exercise ala carte options throughout the year. We also have CLC perform Spring and Fall clean ups. CLC's pricing is very fair. I have received mail solicitations from other companies that included their price lists and CLC's pricing is competitive and lower overall. This past year, Eric identified a disease overtaking some of our laurels and came out for repetitive spraying, and I know he didn't charge for all of his visits. Communication with Eric is very good. We work together to tweak our plant and lawn care as issues arise throughout the year. CLC's work crews are consistently the same. His guys stay with him from year to year. They are respectful and responsible and hard working.
