did a great job accept cut some lower brances on treess in the side that exposed a view of trashcans and compose bin on side of hours to front of house

They did not rent the appropriate machine (which I paid them extra for). Without notification, they came anyway. They said they would stay for 4 of 6 hours I had pre-paid for. They left leaves by the curb in a private neighborhood, so I had to bag them myself. They did not pick up the phone when we called to reschedule. The work was never performed and we were never able to get in touch with anyone. They still owe us 2 hours of work and the rental cost for the aerator.

Contractor remulched the front and back yards. planted new bushes and trimmed existing shrubs.

It was fine. The work turned out fine. Everything was okay. I didn't have any problems. If I need them, I will use them.

They were terrible. They did a lot of add-ons and they had men sitting around doing nothing and they were charging me by the hour. I had to give them an additional $800 which I had two properties that they did. One was $800 and one was an additional of $500. They did clean-up and they trimmed up a blue spruce which wasn't supposed to be trimmed and they trimmed it all the way up to the top. Then there was this ornamental bush from top to the bottom. They cleaned up and charged me to haul away all the stuff that they trimmed and cleaned. And that was an additional $500. On the other property, they were charging by the hour but two or three of their men were just sitting there not doing anything and they were waiting around for a ride. But they charged me the entire time they sat there. I had to call the owner and met me halfway which I still think was a rip-off but I just wanted to be done with it.

We purchased an 8-man-hours deal off of Angie's List. They arrived timely and completed the rebuilding of our front planter box and planting of bushes, which was our main task that we wanted accomplished. There was a "job leader" (for lack of a better term) here with three other laborers to complete the job. The job leader seemed a little unprofessional to me in the way that he was ordering around the laborers (borderline yelling, condescending tone, etc.), which is the basis for the B rating in professionalism. The owner, however, arrived shortly before the end of the time frame we purchased and was very professional and really seemed to know his stuff as far as care of the shrubs we have and design of landscaping. We were happy with the result, felt the price was fair, and the planter box still looks great over a year later, so merits an A rating overall.

It was terrible. First, there was problem with the scheduling. One day when I went to work, I got a call asking if they could come then. I said okay, but it is going to take me probably 40 minutes to get home. They must have been around the corner from my house when they called. On the phone, I gave them instructions what to start with. I wanted them to clear two flowerbeds in the back. When I got home, they had cleared out all of the vegetation including 60 flowerbeds, so that I have bare dirt. Then they pruned my dogwood trees in the back. I have three huge dogwood trees. They took all the side limbs off of them except for the top. Last year, I ended up having a total of 17 flowers on three trees and now, I had no flowers. Then they pruned down my 4 butterfly bushes, so that they are now dead because they chopped the whole side limbs. They over pruned another tree. As a result, we re-landscaped our backyard. I paid extra $200, other than the big deal. Everything looked nice and clean when they were there; but then I realized when it rained, it was nothing to catch the water on the ground. I had pools of water and then I realized when the time came for the trees to bloom, I had no flowers. My butterfly bushes hadn't come back. The owner was supposed to come out and take a look, but he came out at a later date. He was supposed to come at a certain time one evening after the work, and he didn't show up & he didn't call. The next day when I come home, he was sitting in my driveway. By then, I really didn't know how bad everything was, but something is wrong with these people. They came early.

The service went okay. Once we got them scheduled out they did a very good job. It was very difficult scheduling with the company however. I believe they had a huge response from offering the deal and got booked up. They were not able to come out until months after I purchased the ea. They also showed up unannounced. It was a husband and wife team who came out. They did a great job moving the plants around to where they looked very nice. One of the plants they moved did die the next spring. I had to pay additional fees for additional time on the service.

It went fine. I am not sure if I will use them again.

I ended up getting a refund because it seemed like they were only interested in doing larger jobs and they never came back out to perform work.

It was a Big Deal offer that I had contracted for. He came out and I think that with the number of Big Deal things he received I said that his Big Deal was misrepresented with the storm damage. So he could do only partial stuff of what the Big Deal had promoted so I worked with him and he did do stuff. I don’t think I paid any additional. The Deal was about hauling things away like limbs and debris and that makes sense because one has to get an additional truck and that would cost more and so on but that wasn’t really high lightened in the Big Deal. He was doing it because I think he thought it was misrepresented in the Big Deal. He wasn’t super aggressive or super professional. He tried to work with me.

Not great. The owner (Joe Gibbs) seemed poorly organized- he called me three separate times on my cell phone to schedule the service, not realizing he'd called before. He has also called several times since, asking if we are interested in further service (which we are not). I had little confidence that asking him not to call anymore would be effective, so I ended up blocking his number on my cell phone. I had two main problems with the service. One was that he and his team seemed to work very slowly (which is quite unfortunate when paying by the hour). They also charged us for mileage/hauling when they had to go buy supplies, but they were still "on the clock," so I felt that they were double charging us for this. My other problem was that never updated us on what the final cost of the work would be, until he gave us the bill at the end. We knew that it was taking longer than 6 hours, but he never gave us any estimates along the way. We were able to pay him the $1080 extra, but going more than $1000 above initial cost on a job that was pre-paid for $375 is a significant difference, and he should have checked in with us to ensure that we were willing and able to pay for that much additional work.

It went okay. They're flaky from a communication standpoint. They're just not as quick to respond to us on things.

Joe Gibbs was very responsive and listened to our preferences. He came up with a design plan that met our needs for low maintenance landscaping. He had great ideas and solved some problems we were having by using river rocks - which addressed the issue and looks great. The project was completed in a timely manner about two weeks from start to finish. Overall, we were very pleased with his work and plan to work with him again.

They did a great job. They were very efficient and fast. The trimming looked great. They were very tidy; everything was beautiful after they were done. They didn't leave any trimmings. It was easy to arrange the job and schedule the service. They price with the Big Deal was amazing; the regular price was reasonable. They were on time and started work right away.

The owner came to size up the job and was professional on how he presented the needs as he saw them for my yard. We discussed and he was flexible on the cost beyond the Angies' list deal. The work was done completely and well

The owner could not be nicer. I got the impression he was overwhelmed with work - probably due to being highlighted on Angie's List. He was quick to respond to calls and when he had to reschedule due to weather related issues, he advised us in advance. Unfortunately, he left a team on site without being with them for most of the time and although they worked hard, they were called away for some reason before they finished the job and left a mess behind. I had an overgrown shrub which was one of my primary concerns and they began trimming it and then just left it in a state of partial completion (approximately 25 - 33% trimmed). It looked as if the Rapture had taken place. All of the plants / branches / trimmings were left in the woods. Unfortunately, they were left in our neighbor's yard rather than ours and we spent hours collecting and bagging them to prevent offense. I did let the owner know as he had left word that he still owed me about an hour's worth of work, and he was responsive. Ultimately that is where we left it though he did offer to stop by and lay sod down on the dirt his team moved to shore up the lawn. I was torn about leaving a review as I did like the owner and felt he genuinely wanted to make things right, but the initial experience was just not worth taking the chance of repeating for me.

They set it up to make sure we had to continue with their services after the Angie's List deal...charging full price. I would not do business with them again. Shysters.

Spring clean up included weeding, trimming bushes, mulching, etc. and they did a very good job. This is the second time we have used Mulberry and are happy with their work. We'll be calling them again when the need arises.

Very hard to get this scheduled and started. They have no real process to respond to customers effectively. I used them on a spring clean up and there were some fits and starts, and I should have used my better judgment on the tree house project. Overall issues - the owner was always trying to up-sell services, to find ways to drive the price up. He understood my budget but continually tried to move the line. I had to manager them, after multiple reminders they have started and hopefully have the project completed on time. This will be the last time I use them for anything. Poor costumer service, poor communication from the owner. Quality of work does not overcome all the other issues with this business. Update - the Japanese maple that was moved is now dying since they didn't make enough room for the root ball of the tree. Even after all the poor service the owner was still trying to "upsell" for more services to get more $$. My advice stay away from this company!!

My experience went very well. They gave me good suggestions on what I could do for the house. They did a good job cleaning up the yard. The owner also came to check on the work and the crew that was there. He also checked to make sure I was happy with the work.

We were not able to connect for scheduling.

I purchased this service by accident, and then got the transaction reversed. I had meant to purchase a landscaping service by a different company.

Joe arrived the next day after we fist made contact and was able to provide a proposal on the spot. The work was completed within two weeks.

It was good. They sent 4 people out to do the job. The scheduling was okay. The workers were okay. The guy that I spoke with was helpful and quite knowledgeable.
