We used RM Construction for a first floor reno, which included a total reno of our kitchen, and were happy to use them again for this second floor project. Rey, the owner, is exceptionally easy to work with —- very responsive and knowledgeable. His crew are incredibly skilled and execute the work with as little disruption as possible. They are punctual, hard-working, and easy to work with. They installed hardwood flooring, recessed lights and painted the master bedroom. The hall bathroom was totally renovated. It included installation of large-scale tile for both the bathtub walls and the floor. These tiles require minimal grout lines and a precise layout to look good. The installation was fantastic! The plumbing, painting and electrical were all done with precision and care. Rey was on-site to check in every day that his crew was here, which was really appreciated. Every day the crew cleaned up before leaving and let us know when they were leaving. What can be a very disruptive process was as painless as possible. I highly recommend RM Construction!

Reynaldo of RM Construction is incredibly knowledgeable and professional. They finished our basement ceiling by replacing old, dirty ceiling tiles with drywall and also added recessed LED lights. He was very communicative and also quick to respond to any questions we had. He also made a few great suggestions where applicable. A few days after work was completed, we had a question about something unrelated to their project and he was able to swing by our house within an hour to help us resolve the issue. I’m confident that he and his team could tackle any project and we certainly plan to use them for larger renovation projects in the future.

The work was performed efficiently and professionally. This was the latest project in a whole-house renovation that RM Construction has worked on for us. We highly recommend RM Construction for quality building work!

Really well, they were able to complete the work within a day. They let me know once they opened the wall that damage wasn’t as bad as estimated and provided a cheaper option only replacing a single broken valve.

I called to set up a time to do the work and they told me deal no longer applied but that the would have someone call to work something out. No one called.

The vendor after several months called and asked me where I got this deal. I was told they no longer had this special but they would work something out. It's been over 2 months and I haven't heard a word. A big this appointment.

It didn't go. I've given up on getting a quote from them for the work and scheduling an appointment after a week of trying and waiting.

RM Construction did a superb job in meeting my expectations. I had two other jobs that could not be completed because the material that i purchased didn’t fit. I appreciated that the Handyman was prompt, courteous and had a can do attitude. I highly recommend RM Construction.

RM Construction Inc. is an irresponsible company. First, it took over a week for them to schedule a date to come and do the work. When the agreed upon date arrived they never came. I contacted several times to inquire about an arrival time and they kept telling me that they would arrive that day to do the work. I called and told them that I had taken a day off work for them to come and do the work. They did not seem interested that I lost a day of pay. They were not respectful of my time whatsoever. There are many other contractors on Angie's List, you are free to choose another contractor or take your chances with this company. Their rating is A based on averages, but if you look at the reviews you can see several B, C, D, and F reviews. If take a chance with them and loose work time their overall rating is of no good. I will never trust RM Construction Inc.

The contractor came to my house the same day that I called despite the fact that they already had a full day of jobs already scheduled. The owner, Reynaldo, came himself to do the work. He told me that he understood that I was in a difficult situation with the water leak and therefore, fitted me in the same day. The work was performed very quickly and professionally. I would hire them again.

RM Construction, Reynaldo Martinez, and his crew are all fantastic designers, installers, and professionals with whom we trust every aspect of our home. We previously employed RM Construction for painting the house and handyman repairs. This time, they did significant design and construction work. Their design sensibility is phenomenal and goes far above and beyond any other contractors we interviewed, and is included in their fee. The workmanship is excellent. And Reynaldo and his workers are neat, clean, and kind. We look forward to working with them again on our kitchen and patio remodel next.

Reynaldo came to the house for the purpose of providing an estimate on painting and some carpentry work. He seemed knowledgeable and said he would send the estimate in the following few days; when nothing arrived, i called and again, he said it would be forthcoming. This occurred yet another time; he said the estimate had been prepared and he would check to make sure it was sent, but we received nothing. The email address listed on the website is not a valid address. Totally frustrating and unhelpful.

Nothing. Unhappy with lack of professionalism in contact with company representative. Requested and received a refund from Angie's list.

It was great!!! Two painters showed up early and protected all the floors and furniture. They did not wear shoes in the house so the carpet would stay clean. I bought all the paint colors that I wanted them to use and just labeled the walls with the appropriate color. They were finished in 2.5 days and even painted the baseboards as well. It looks incredible! I hired painters before in different states but they are some of the best I've seen! I even had them come back a week later to do two other rooms on a different floor. I'm definitely keeping their contact info. and recommending them in the future. Thanks RM Construction!

I bought an Angie's List coupon to use for my boyfriend's condominium to get it ready for rental. We needed to have one bedroom (app. 10 x 12) and one small bathroom (with bathtub, toilet and double sink) painted. We also needed to have someone finish laying down laminate flooring which my boyfriend had started in the rest of the condo. but then hurt his back and had not finished. I was hopeful that this company could do both the floor (first) as well as the painting (second). It didn't work out that way. When my boyfriend first called the company, they refused to come out to give an in-person estimate for the painting job (we were just trying to figure out whether one person painting for 8 hours would complete the job); at the same time, I figured when they came out in person we could also get a price from them for laying the floor. So that never happened. Prior to the paint job starting, we had done all the "prep" work already: we had moved the furniture away from the walls, cleaned up the floors, and taped all the way around the baseboards, all to make it easier for the painter. A date was scheduled for the painting; that date was cancelled by the company and we had to reschedule for a subsequent week. When the painter showed up, he was two (2) hours late. He only stayed for six (6) hours, not the required eight (8) hours as per the coupon. He did not finish the job - at best he was about 1/2-way done. My boyfriend called to complain and requested that the painter return and finish the job - since we were owed another two (2) hours, The painter showed up the second time, but required an additional three (3) hours to finish the job, which came out of our pocket - an additional $120.00. We believe this could have all been avoided or anticipated better had the owner agreed to come out for an in-person inspection of the job. Also, the paint job done was adequate; not great. (My boyfriend finished laying the bathroom floor himself after the paint had dried). I would not use this company again. I also am not sure I would purchase another Angie's List coupon again - it was a disappointing experience.

We had purchased the Painter for a Day Big Deal. Eli arrived at the scheduled time and got right to work patching some places on the living room ceiling where the paint had cracked and fallen out. He then painted the ceilings in the living room, dining room, and one bedroom. He did a fantastic job and we are very thankful.

I am very pleased with the work done by RM Construction. Sergio and Minor completed all the jobs on my list and worked with care and skill. They were professional, took time to answer my questions, and cleaned up after their work.

This was an Angie's List big deal for 8 hours of painting for $249. Things went very well overall. It took some time to schedule the service, but that was due to complications with weather and the Thanksgiving holiday timing. I described the items to be painted a couple of times, once with the owner Reynaldo and again with an associate. This helped them determine the paint needed for the work (paint purchased from them for an additional $94) and whether one man for 8 hours or two men for 4 hours was the best approach. Since the porch door needed to be primed and painted, we went with one man for 8 hours to give the primer time to dry. Eli came promptly @ 8:30am and reconfirmed the scope of work with me. The Therma-tru door was the biggest job, so he started with it. After several hours I wondered if the remaining items could be fit in, and Eli assured me he would finish the list before leaving. He checked with me several times to confirm various details and was very pleasant and professional throughout. Eli took only a short break for lunch and worked steadily for the rest of the day. I was extremely pleased with the quality of his painting. At my request he left touch-up paint for both colors used (hunter green and white) which is greatly appreciated. Reynaldo called in the afternoon to check on the progress of the job and my satisfaction with the work. I assured him Eli was doing an excellent job. I feel I really got my money's worth on this Big Deal. My husband and I do a lot of work around the house ourselves, but we both hate to paint. Having this type of work done really adds a nice finishing touch to previously unkempt areas - the place looks great - I highly recommend RM Construction for your painting needs.

The handyman was on time (early, in fact). I had a list of odd jobs & he got to all of them in the 8 hours. He did a great job & cleaned up any trash. He put up handrails, installed a closet door, shaved the bottom of another door, installed a door knob. I would definitely us this contractor again.

I was very pleased. We set up a time and Eli showed up on time and ready to work. The paint job was excellent and the process was smooth and unobtrusive to my day. Half way through the day, the manager called to make sure all was going well. I am happy with the process, the painter, and the outcome.

Painters arrived as scheduled, worked non-stop the entire time they were at my house, and cleaned up every spec of dust and paint. Drop clothes and plastic sheeting used to protect floor and furniture and everything moved back in place. Perfect job. Took a couple weeks after I purchased deal to get contacted but work was scheduled immediately after so no problem from my perspective. Thanks.
