It was an excellent experience with R&D Masonry Inc. Of all of the companies I had come out and give estimates, they had the best price for the amount of wok they would do, and had an idea to improve the walkway no one else thought of. The project was originally slated for 3 days, but in early May of 2016 is rained almost every day. The project wound up spanning two weeks. This was no fault of R&D. They came out every time the weather permitted and did work. The broke the old walk way up and hauled it away in a day along with laying new concrete. Then it just kept raining. As weather permitted, they dropped off and placed pavers. I did not have to home for it, but they let me know when they were coming, or I would ask if they thought the weather would permit it. Anytime I met with any of the employees they were always courteous and professional. They clearly explained what they would do, and the walkway looks exactly as planned. They took care and did not damage any of the plants or greenery nearby. The phones can be busy, but I never had a problem communicating through email with them. They responded quickly. One admin issue came up, but they cleared it up on their end within in minutes. I would definitely use them again.

After looking at the damage to the property, they promised to provide an estimate via email. I waited and waited and never heard anything from them. After approximately a week I decided to call and ask about the estimate. I was told that the job that I had was too small for them to repair, which was fine, however the courtesy of a phone call or email days before would have been nice. I could have looked elsewhere and had the work completed by now. I think this was incredibly poor customer service and could have been handled in a much more professional manner.

PERFECT!! What an amazing group of hard working men. They were prompt, neat & courteous. They did an absolutely beautiful job creating a new deck around our newly renovated pool. My experience with their office staff was a pleasant one also, someone (a live person!!) always answered the telephone and was able to assist me with any questions. They too, like the construction crew, were very courteous & efficient. If you are considering any masonry work, this is the company to call!

Installation seemed as expected. I noticed the lower end of the driveway was too low for water to flow and drain off to storm culvert. I asked to raise it about one inch. Owner said he had to slope the driveway but I insisted. He said he would raise it. I had to be at work when the driveway was poured. It looked to me that it was the same elevation at the lower end. Water now puddles on the concrete when it rains. There were a few spots that had water holes or puddles. Contractor came back and filled with nearly the same color material. The contractor re-pointed an area of the brick work on the house. The mortar did not match the existing mortar. The contractor said it would fade to match. It has not faded in the 3 years since. One of the workers also tossed our welcome mat, upside down, onto the finished concrete leaving a reverse image in the concrete. This, we were told, would also fade. It has not faded either. There was minor damage to siding at rear of house. I did not notice this until the spring of 2012. We also found several small piles of old concrete, aggregate, wire mess and debris in the bushes and surrounding areas of the yard. I did not complain about these because of the time lapse. Over the next year and a half we began to see many spots on the driveway where the finish popped up leaving a hole. The aggregate is visible in these spots. There are many of these unsightly holes in the driveway. These worsened during the cold winter of 2013-2014. I called R&D Masonry in the Spring of 2014 to report the problem to him. He came out to look and matter-of-factually advised me that the warranty was only one year. I was very offended by his smug attitude.

They were fabulous. I couldn't recomend them higher. I've never worked with a better contractor.
