They raise the bar for home inspectors. They are very very good, and they use instruments for wall moisture as well.

Rehired Pro Spex for a pre-settlement inspection (previously hired for pre-drywall inspection). First, Pro Spex was kind to extend a discount for return business. Second, scheduling was easy. Finally, the time and attention Mr. Blanc lent us not only to explain the functions of the house, but also educate us on the "how, what, and why" of the home's infrastructure was invaluable. We couldn't imagine having hired a different inspector. Overall, money well spent -- you need a trained eye to catch any critical oversights and a thorough explanation of things. Glad we did it. Chris Quick was our inspector -- but you could call him Chris Thorough, because he was thorough. He showed up a little early, and was taking many pictures of the exterior of the house. He did a great job, took many pictures, spent 3 - 3.5 hours just looking at the house and taking pictures and explaining things to us. Who knows how long it took to write up the report. The house is 3.5 story victorian built in 1873 so there was a lot of interesting stuff to find. The deck had issues, the clapboard siding had issues, there was duct tape on some of the gutter piping. He even got a ladder and went up on the many different roof sections (the house had many small roofs) and found and documented moss and other issues. He found GFCI switches that didn't trip when they should, even ran a short test of the A/C unit (in the winter). Bottom line: very thorough; willing to answer questions, investigate and explain things, put together a great report with explanatory pictures. Way better than the inspector I had used in Virginia back in 2005, and the price was better, too.

Christopher did a great job. He walked me through our new home's systems and did a great, punctual job in producing the report. Scheduling was easy and this was what I needed to move closer to being ready to move in to our new place.

We worked with Springer Goyne from Pro Spex. He was extremely thorough and professional. The inspection uncovered many items that were not visible to us upon our previous viewings of the home. As a result of the inspection, and the information that Springer provided, we were saved from a very bad investment. I cannot state enough how valuable this service was for us. We would definitely use this service again in the future!

The inspector was on time and conducted a thorough inspection, fully explaining to me everything he was noting. He took pictures, which were provided with the written inspection report. Inspector was professional and knowledgeable. I would hire ProSpex again for home inspection services.

Granted I have only one other home inspection to compare Pro Spex to, I was very impressed with the service. They were very professional - punctual, courteous, and thorough. The report was very well-written; it contained plain language and pictures to illustrate the issues with the house. I hope I won't be buying another home for a while, but if I do, I would ask Pro Spex to complete my inspection again. I gave them As across the board, except for costs. I paid $590 for the inspection, radon test, and termite inspection. It seemed a little high, but you get what you pay for, and it was worth every penny.

We learned late that an inspection of our home should be done before contractors install the drywall. I called Pro-Spex just a few days before that process was to happen and they helped us out just in the knick-of-time. Mr. Glenford Blanc went to the building site within a day of hiring them, and then very timely delivered a report showing critical items that needed to be addressed with the contractor before drywall. His report was direct, concise and helpful. In addition, he followed up with a call. Ms. Yvonne Blanc was most helpful in scheduling the inspection and was great at following up to be sure we were all set. We'll certainly hire Pro-Spex again should the need arise.

The Big Deal was for square footage less than 2,000 square feet which I thought our house was. When Pro Spex added the basement square footage and calculated the new quote, the new quote was too high (from $405 to $729.60). I did not know the new quote until the afternoon before the home inspection was to take place.

My experience with ProSpex was extremely positive. Yvonne was responsive to my initial call and not only took the time to determine what services they could provide but also recommended a provider for radon abatement who turned out to also be good to work with. Yvonne came out to the house promptly, revisited us to pick up the device and provided the report within hours of completion. Additionally, and notably, when we learned that we needed to retest post abatement, she decreased their price so we didn't have to pay twice. It went okay; it was not bad. They were good and fast. They were thorough and they were nice. I would probably use them again.

The inspection went very well. Glen was punctual, informative, knowledgable of his craft, and showed concern/understanding in terms of landlord/homeowner liability as it pertains to the findings of the inspection. There were no details too small or issues too large that he could not easily explain to me.

Yvonne at Pro-Spex was great and very accommodating but, I cancelled the home purchase for other reasons, so I have no need for an inspection at this time. I'll definitely use them if I try to buy again.

They were very professional and punctual. The home inspection was very thorough, including both the house and the yard. The inspection process was very informative. Every time we uncovered an issue or potentially developing issue, I received a thorough explanation and a lot of tips and advice. He went far beyond the boundaries of a normal home inspection to answer every question I asked. As a first time homebuyer, this information was invaluable. The final report was thorough and exceptionally well-documented. My realtor, who has been in the business for a long time, said it was one of the most painstaking home inspections he had ever witnessed. I would not, however, advise purchasing a termite inspection through ProSpex. The termite inspection was outsourced to a subcontractor and was much less thorough-- to the extent that it is not clear it was ever completed. We never received a formal report.

He and his assistant showed up on time, were very thorough, and very courteous. He found a couple of minor problems that we would have overlooked had we not gotten an inspection since it was a new build. Overall I was very happy with the information he provided, the tools he used, and the time he took to carefully inspect everything. He was able to answer any questions I had and was very knowledgeable about everything that came with the home.

It was really good. Actually we had used them before. They actually ended up doing us an extra service for free so we didn't have to pay for it.

As a first time home buyer having a good home inspector was key. Glen went above and beyond anything I could of expected from a home inspector. He could tell we wanted to learn more about basic home appliances so he explained how everything worked and made sure we were left with 0 questions. Upon concluding our home inspection I had a full perspective of the structure and status of of our home and no longer felt intimidated about our pending sale.

They did a really good job. They did an excellent job. They were prompt. We got our results. It was great. This is the first time we are used them. My wife actually met with them and spoke with them. I didn't do this, but we were very satisfied. They were very professional and everything was great and I would highly recommend them. I don't recall my wife having any complaints whatsoever. They were less expensive than others. I would use them again.

Glen showed up on time and was very personable. He went right to work and was very thorough. He looked through the entire house(as he should) and afterward showed me everything he observed from basement to attic. His comments and advice were very helpful and he took very high quality pics and video to document everything he observed. His later reports through email were great and I still refer back to them now. I highly recommend this company!

The representative from Pro Spex Home Inspection Services was very informative, he took his time, went through every aspect of the inspection with us, he provided very good material for us to use later on, and it was a good experience.

I wasn't present but the report was just what I asked for.

My experience was that it was a good home inspector, however there was some scheduling conflicts with him and the time and I don't know if it was an exceptional situation because I understand that at that time, he was expecting a child so I don't know what to say if it was exceptional or not but he was just slow to follow-up and give reports to me in a timely manner and late in showing up and in some cases didn't show up and even given the circumstance he didn't call or anything so I had to keep constantly calling him.
