NIXON CONSTRUCTION

There were a few issues, and they never came back to fix the work. They did a pretty decent job with the rest of it and it seems at the end they left a few things up to me. They just dropped the ball once they were paid. They left paint on my windows and ceremic tile, the door is crooked and you can see daylight at the bottom, they took a small part of alluminum siding, the shelves they put in they used regular plywood, just simple things that they cut a lot of corners.

The work took roughly a month to complete and was poor quality at every step. Instead of roll roofing, they put on shingle underlay then argued with me when I said it was the wrong stuff (the box was in the backyard and clearly marked). When they finally agreed to put down roll roofing, they didn't tar it down, so it's already peeling and has gaps so water's getting in. They also did a horrible job of sealing the roofing on my addition to the new siding on the second story of the house so water is getting in there as well. They did not complete the contract and I now have to hire a new company just to fix what they did. They didn't install drip caps so the windows weren't sealed properly. They told me to buy new shutters, but then told me the wrong size and installed them knowing their mistake. Now I can't return the shutters because they were opened, plus I have to buy new ones and pay someone to replace the mis-sized ones. They installed two incorrect porch railings that had to be removed. They bought the wrong size columns so the top doesn't match the size of the porch roof. They messed up the porch floor so that it doesn't meet the house correctly and doesn't overhang properly and their solution to the problem was to add cheap toe kicks that look terrible. They didn't remove the garbage despite my continuous phone calls, so I got two fines from the city. The list really could go on endlessly... I definitely got what I paid for: it was cheap and they took every opportunity to do a horrible, cheap, and incorrect job. The guys on the site didn't have the proper training or knowledge, and Elvir Nixon did not provide appropriate oversight. Elvir doesn't know enough about construction to be a decent contractor. Nor does he seem interested in learning how to do things correctly to train his team and provide better quality services.
