Mario and his crew were amazing! Arrived on time and proceeded to pack those items we had agreed would be packed. All furniture was shrink-wrapped and then wrapped in blankets. It was particularly challenging as the building only has one passenger elevator...no freight elevator and no loading dock. The crew was incredibly polite and professional and worked very hard in the August heat. I would hire again in a minute!

The move went extremely well -- end to end from the customer service experience working with folks at Metropolitan, to the team they sent out to do all the lifting. I would recommend them to anyone with a moving project. My move was I think fairly simple and short, but Metropolitan does longer moves too, both distance and time-wise. Here are some of the key points: 1. The team that coordinated the booking / quote / all the administrative elements of the project was quick and helpful. 2. The project was affordable -- I checked against other services and this was the best value. 3. The guys who did the lifting were great at what they do. At the outset we had an issue getting the POD door open (my fault for overfilling it), but the guys helped me get it open with not a small amount of creativity.

very well. The movers were kind and helpful. We had a lot of stuff and sometimes were confused as to where we wanted it. They were patient with us when we had them move something more than once. Very professional and friendly.

The team was terrific. They showed up on time, and moved extremely quickly in both packing at the old house and unloading at the new house. They made sure to do a walkthrough at a new house and sort out where we wanted all furniture, and then they got everything exactly where it belonged. Even in the midst of a torrential downpour, they worked efficiently and somehow kept our place perfectly clean. We couldn't have been more satisfied with the job they did.

Office personnel were outstanding throughout the process. Movers were careful & thoughtful with packing/unpacking & setting furniture. I would highly recommend this company.

The Metropolitan Moving & Storage team was outstanding. From the sales process to quote (that came in lower than the other 2 quotes I received) to the actual move to the follow up afterwards. 5 stars. The move could not have gone any more smoothly even though the team was faced with rain all day during the move. They kept all our belongings dry and did an outstanding job.

My move went so smooth. The estimator, Eddy, did a great job estimating time and number of trucks needed. The moving team showed up on time, maybe even early. They got me moved so quickly and effortlessly. The head of the team walked around with me to make sure he labeled everything for his team to know where it went in the new home, then did the same thing when we got to the new home. These guys were incredible! I couldn't recommend them more.

Our move with Metropolitan exceeded our expectations. Charlie and his team were professional, punctual and very thorough. Additionally, they performed the job in less time than estimated and hence a lower cost than the estimate. All components from the estimator to the scheduling and the final move were seamless. We are very grateful to have used this moving company, would definitely recommend and use again if necessary.

We were very pleased with the work and professionalism of the Metropolitan Moving team. We had them pack up our 3 bedroom house which they did in a day. The next day they came back and moved us to our new house. The packing and moving team was the same both days, which was helpful. They went above and beyond with a few special requests we asked of them. Would definitely use again.

Our move was during a particularly trying time for my family and Metropolitan Moving and & Storage was exceptional. They came and ensured everything was packed appropriately moved us out, stored all of our belongings for a month and then moved us into our new home. I would recommend them 10/10 and will absolutely use them again in the future. You pay for what you get and they were worth every cent.

The workmen were right on time. They got to work right away and completed packing the household goods and transferring to the truck. They showed up to the new place right when they said they would. They unloaded quickly and efficiently. Overall a very professional job. I would hire them again.

I wanted a mover who did not comingle our stuff with others, did not put it in storage or move it more than necessary. Metropolitan Movers were great. We had a team assigned to us. They packed, loaded, met us at the storage facility and unloaded. I had them pack dishes, lamps, framed artwork. They were efficient, professional, responsive - great. Worth every penny.

Following the death of my father, I contacted Metropolitan Moving and Storage to move my mother from Silver Spring, MD to Charlotte, NC and make a stop to drop some furniture off in Mount Jackson, VA. Everyone with whom we spoke and worked were absolutely wonderful! We scheduled an estimator and a few days later Edward came to the house. In less than an hour he provided an estimate and scheduled her move. Not only was he extremely polite and compassionate, he was spot on with the estimate. My parents and I have moved with the government several times in the past. This move was markedly different. The movers who packed and loaded the trucks stayed with the household goods and unpacked them upon arriving at their destination. The office called to confirm the delivery of boxes and the move dates. On the packing and moving days, Luis and his crew arrived a few minutes early so they would be punctual. We were surprised by such wonderful service. They had our three-bedroom house loaded in two trucks in less than four hours, including moving a Steinway Grand Piano! Luis and his crew were unbelievably disciplined and efficient. Once completed I spoke with Justin to follow-up on our wonderful experience. He and Lena continued to provide unmatched customer service to this day. I highly recommend this team and will definitely use them when I move from Virginia.

Great job, nothing forgotten and everything carefully wrapped so nothing was broken. Quick work meant lower cost than their estimate. The movers were prompt, friendly, and professional.

This was an absolutely wonderful moving experience. Everyone I interacted with at this company was extremely patient, professional, and kind, and the movers went above and beyond. I also felt that the pricing was fair, especially for such excellent (and quick!) service. To say I was pleased with this company is an understatement; I would book them for future moves in a heartbeat!
